Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

12. Do not distill Catnip nor Valerian, no matter what Tybalt tells you. Keep related products under lock. Aisha, don't give Tybalt catnip!

If it is checked, someone can either unintentionally or maliciously hide the fic from anyone who wants to read it. So that's a heads up, so you know.
That sounds like a bug in AO3 system. Hiding own collection is one thing, hiding someone else's work is another... was that reported?

It's less of a bug and more of an unintentional loophole, from my understanding. Being able to privatize fics has always been about either hiding, but not taking down existing fics (so if you've written something embarrassing, you could do this if you don't have the heart to orphan or outright remove what you've written) or so you could reveal it at a later date, like for an event or anniversary.

For collections, this is also an option so for writing events, people could simultaneously release what they've written at once. Like say, a bunch of fanfic writers for Worm decided to hold a prompt-based writing event. One moderator could have all of those writers join the same privatized collection so when the event is due, the fics will be simultaneously released even if they were uploaded at different times.

In this sense, this kind of thing is like an accidental oversight on AO3's part as it is a mechanic tailored for a very specific scenario but made possible to occur in other times because of auto-accept. But the truth is, it's not really that big of a deal either way as getting your fic out of private is easy and can be done by the author themselves. I suppose if someone really wanted to troll or harrass a writer, they could get a bunch of accounts to repeatedly do this to a fic, but it will both be at most an irritation and the author can just turn off auto-accept in that scenario to completely shut down the harrassment.

I'm sorry for the late notice, but I have to announce a delay on the next chapter. I will have the chapter ready for next week and look forward to continuing the story into 2022. Once again, I apologize for the late notice and I wish a happy new year to all my readers. See you in 2022.

There is nothing to be sorry about! I hope you have had a happy holidays and may you have a wonderful New Year! :)

Hold on, does the Celestial Forge really just have 73 powers left to give? What happens what that runs dry?
We still have plenty of time before that happens plus there's actually a lot more then 73 perks left. Certain perks Joe unlocks can make a corresponding Capstone perk available, a constellation can run out and Lord can implement the "Personal Reality" constellation, also there are plenty of excluded media perks Lord is working on adding little by little as they become familiar with the media the perks are from(I believe "Binbougami ga" perks are the next expected addition).

Hey, given that Quarrel (the Current Butcher) is about to crash the meeting, how would you rate the reactions of everyone who thinks she wants to commit suicide via Apeiron, thus turning him into the next Butcher?

I think that the whole world would shudder at the thought, and knowing those two are in the same building would give the PRT nightmares.

I would also consider this topic prime PHO fodder, considering the reactions to the Ungodly Hour, followed by his Title on the site (and the internet, the news, social media, etc.).

Aperion butcher is kinda the world nightmare scenario, it would be between scion and sleeper in power (their perspective ) while also being on mainland America

it's good that because he is a demigod he gets some resistance , and quarrel "just" want the voices to stop , which might be doable with his level of tech/magitech/magic and a bit of the Irrigo + APOCYAN

I anticipate the Butcher being horribly overconfident because she has danger sense that's mislead by the anti-precog tech. The tech's misdirection defaults to harmless non-interference, so her danger sense will tell her she's in no danger from Forge members no matter what.

He's already got soul-eating weapon crafting. He can just Counter Craft up a souped-up Soul Edge and end the Butcher completely, if it comes down to that.

Not many stories you can look at and be like '(at least roughly 500ish points on most remaining perks) × (1000 words per 100 points) × 73 = upwards of 360k words? Is that it? We'll demolish that over the next arc or two!'
2000 words per 100 Points actually, so at least 730k words. Actually, hold on, I'm gonna do some math to figure out the actual amount of words (assuming no Repeatable Perks are Purchased and no Excluded Media is added back into the Forge (If I didn't the answer could actually be Infinite Words due to infinite Repeatables being Purchased)) that are necessary to clear the Forge, both with and without the Personal Reality Constellation, based on the BCF Reference Google Sheet. BRB.

Oh no!
My favorite author is pacing themselves, avoiding burnout, and writing more thoughtful and complete chapters. Whatever shall I do!?!
I guess I will have to read some other story that I like or start something new.
ps. happy new years
