Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

I'm looking forwards to seeing how he treats Mannequin.

I think the actual deeds surrounding that will be far more dramatic than Joe thinks. With how much of what Sphere made being a part of Joe's happy places he makes.

I'm not completely sold on this argument. The power of the CF isn't being questioned and their ability to plan around the "plans" of the S9 does place them in a position of being able to plan around ideas that are presented by any members of the S9 (the famous tactic of mages everywhere of 'scry and die', but with more steps in between) does add a huge hurdle that the S9 unknowingly has to jump. Heck, I mentioned in my post that Survey watching over their shoulders adds a huge advantage.

All I'm saying is that plans have a great way of falling apart once initial contact has been made. In the example of the CF being immune to Cherish, is Taylor immune? Her father, who Broadcast would use to bait Taylor into a bad position? Is Shatterbird going to sing the moment things start to go down the sink and how many people important to the protagonists will that take out? Hell, will Broadcast trick a big name Cape to do something that will make things start to go downhill?

Aisha's shard could be neutralized by medical alterations made by Riley to her team so we can't count on that (yes, I know the colors still give her the ability to assist). We simply can't assume that things will work out exactly how the CF wants. Hell, Broadcast has a tendril of control in Cauldron (see Harbinger, or Numberman as he currently goes by) and I refuse to see how that couldn't complicate things.

I could very well be wrong and everything will be tied into a bow. I just wanted to point out that things could go pear-shaped. If, for no other reason, I feel that it could be an interesting conversation AND actually add some weight to the coming activities.

You know this is something I never really got. Considering how big a deal Taylor's third trigger/QA merge is to the final fight, what was end of the story supposed to be if she was dead? There wouldn't have been a mind controlled parahuman army to act with perfect efficiency to fight Scion, people would have fled with free will or got in each other's way.

There's a word of wildbow that if Taylor died in the Levi fight Aegis would have been the new protag not sure if he actually rolled for anything after it tho since there is Dinah's statement when trying to explain setting up the reveal of her civ id that Taylor was always at the final fight in every flash of it she saw.

They don't match the show 1:1. Or rather they match... let's call it Earth Prime (our own Earth) 1:1, but Earth Bet got deviation since Scion and the Parahuman appeared. Especially for Anime. Leviathan sunk part of Japan, so Anime is now mostly produced in America, hence the change in Fate.

That being said, it's still science, so they might reverse engineer it. It just won't happen on a time scale that matters for this story.

Can they actually do that though? My understanding was that while that is annoyingly in line with how lord is writing this no other faction has the ability nor will they be able to get the ability to make more of the particles and they naturally decay so in a few in story weeks they'll all be gone. That also applies to the dust tho with the difference it's consumed in using it and since what's there is standard dust as in rwby without any perks boosting it it is a limited amount and finite supply.

I'm kind of surprised they're telling Aisha about the S9. I know Joe thinks he's developed countermeasures but it's such a powerful effect that I'd think he'd want to play it safe.

As I was still the only source of psychic power on the planet, any psionic realms would be tied to me or expressions of my power. Based on what I had seen over the course of the night I was fairly certain that Alma had developed a presence in the Warp.
Well that's terrifying.
"I should be able to assist with the aspects of the construction related to 'Elven Enchanting', though I am not currently able to achieve higher level effects independently." They explained.
They -> the Matrix? There's just a random They when only Joe and Aisha have been talking for a while.
Indeed because Joe's duplicate really love overkill.
When they say she gonna get a pocket workshop, she is going to get a forgeworld.
I believe the last status update was that the duplicates were calibrating the tides on her workshop. So at least planetary scale, it may have gotten even bigger since then.
I had a thought; since the ungodly hour, people have been studying the Minovsky Particles and a number of them have already noted that they match the described properties of the fictional particles 1:1, so when is someone going to get the idea to make one of the reactors that the cartoon alleges can make them?
Because while it would take a long time to come to fruition as a real power plant, a desktop fusor shouldn't take more than a few weeks….
Iirc fusion was one of the applications Armsmaster and Dragon mentioned in their conversation. But the issue isn't designing things to use the particles, it's getting a supply of them. The blackout zone is the only known source and it's going away.
"Don't you ever rest?!"
"Oh, yes. I had a lovely lunch with friends half an hour ago, and I always take some five seconds a day* to relax."

*In the Spritron Core.
"And we can't forget movie night!"

The fight won't be taking place anywhere close to anyone, remeber Joe is just waiting until it's clear that the Nine are heading towards the city not until they are in it. Also don't forget that the forge is spending most of the day monitoring Broadcast to neutralize it.
Aisha's shard could be neutralized by medical alterations made by Riley to her team so we can't count on that (yes, I know the colors still give her the ability to assist).
Aisha was at best a rounding error to this fight, remeber that if Joe wanted he could have cursed the Nine to be lost on the backroads forever without ever leaving his workshop and that was a whole day ago.
We simply can't assume that things will work out exactly how the CF wants. Hell, Broadcast has a tendril of control in Cauldron (see Harbinger, or Numberman as he currently goes by) and I refuse to see how that couldn't complicate things.
Broadcast could get the Fairy Queen to kill the Butcher, Sleeper and Triumvirate and show up to fight the forge and it wouldn't matter.
I could very well be wrong and everything will be tied into a bow. I just wanted to point out that things could go pear-shaped. If, for no other reason, I feel that it could be an interesting conversation AND actually add some weight to the coming activities.
Nothing short of an endbringer showing up will significantly add a threat to this fight. The weight of the fight is everyone realizing just how much they've underestimated the Forge as they make a cross-country tour of fixing everything destroyed by the Nine.

And given all the precog jamming, it's not like the Endbringers are targeting Joe yet.

Of course, after the S9, I expect Aperion to be their next target.

Cue the next freakout when he kills an Endbringer. And boy, won't that kick the prayers into overdrive.

I think a part got lost here.
No, it says exactly what it means. He is capable of breathing in space, and can do so through manipulation of either the simulation or the underlying fabric of the universe.

Can't wait until he figures out what he's done
He knows. He's known since he did it. This isn't some surprise for him. He is fully aware.

but Earth Bet got deviation since Scion and the Parahuman appeared.
The show predates that though. It's part of why everyone was able to recognize it as from the show.

I nodded as my duplicates fell into place. "We're using Workaholic's quantity boost. Five copies of the final result. You and Tybalt each get an unrestricted copy, then we'll limit the rest to healing before they're handed out."
Who's the fifth? We have Survey, Fleet, Aisha and Tybalt, so who's the fifth one?
It can't be Matrix since his (its?) enhancement has already been done. Tetra maybe?

That's the thing; the Minovsky Particle is produced by a fusion reaction. Specifically helium three plus deuterium. Anyway, physics in the gundam-verse produces M particle pairs instead of the neutrinos we'd expect. Using M particles to catalyse fusion was a later development, and those reactors also produce M particles, more than they consume. Yes it's a Plot Convenience but that's the problem with bringing random anime physics into your personal reality.

Survey, Fleet, Tetra, and the Matrix don't need healing, or have any biology to EVO (well, Survey and Tetra sort of do, sometimes, but I digress). The other three are going to Panacea, Flechette, and Lady Khepri. Yes that last one is probably a mistake but….

They're talking about Evo nanites, the five are: Aisha, Tybalt, Taylor, Lily and Amy.
Also, pretty sure Aisha and Tybalt don't need Glove of the East enchantment, as neither use spiritual energy much, nor are they Elven Enchanted like Survey, Fleet, The Matrix and Tetra are.

Indeed. They're just getting EVO nanites with fully charged Mantic Cores. Made from Elerium alloy. That have been divinely Elven Enchanted.
Some might call this overkill. The Forge calls it "three days ago."

Hey, if you can stab someone with it, then surely it's functional, not decorative
Its base function is decorative.
Honestly excited to see them AWAKEN like Joe has!
Of course I think the most significant item that Alma has right now is The TEDDY BEAR. All caps necessary. What does a Teddy bear do for people, children especially but adults not excluded?

If The Matrix accompanies Aperion to the Bomb removal I would be very interested in what the PRT and Civilians are making out of a very crafting focues member of the Forge.
Obviously they'll think crafting is Matrix's sub-speciality "like everyone on the Forge", and they'll start theorycrafting some ridiculous "actual power" for him.
Like, maybe piloting mechas?
Fleet vs Sibirian. Manton who has enjoyed remote controlling a 'vehicle' of destruction will not enjoy having his vehicle remote piloted to his destruction
I can foresee some ironic conclusion on this one:
Fleet uses his Semblance to bring Manton right in front of Siberian when she attacks him... to predictable results.

On the topic of the Slaughtered Nine, I for one will be disappointed if Joe actually bothered to talk to Jack. Joe doesn't care about Jack, he just wants him dead. I think that if he speaks to anyone, it should be Sphere. Something along the lines of "I'm sorry Doctor Gramme, however much of you is left in there, but I cannot allow you to continue like this. But I also know why you are as you are and promise that your family will be avenged." Or something.
If anyone should confront Jack, it's Lethe. She's the one with the power to not just kill him, but kill the very memory of him, his greatest fear. That, combined with the Apeiron (who clearly should be talking to Jack Slash, the Main Character according to Jack Slash) completely ignoring him, to the point his attacks can't even connect, would break him completely.

The projection can't interact with Manton directly. That's why she was protecting the van in the Canon story towards the end of the S9 BB arc. Sibby would pop like a bubble.

It creates a funny image, thinking of people's reactions though. Makes me think of Dr Dire's clicker-beeper when facing off against Noelle.

the fight is probably going to be filmed (by Survey if no one else) and most probably uploaded to help "kill" the S9's legacy, so dialogue (aka 101 reasons why you suck) and battle banter are only expected.

I can see the CAT of war being honor or dedication

Why? :???: He's just a cat. I'm sure he's a decent sort, but...

On top of everything else you found the skyrim enchantment and alchemy exploit. 😜😂

If it were the Morrowind equivalents, Scion's entire species would either be dead, or unrecognizably empathic and doing what they can to undo all the damage they've done, by now.

The exploit there is ridiculously powerful. Multiple thousands of points of attribute boost for literal days.

Ah yes, the famous Manton limit Manton Limit.

That's why I said Lethe should confront him. Aisha can banter with the best of them, then kill him by stabbing a bouquet of rosemary and cyclamen through his eye.

*reads about Alma*
*sigh* Apeeeirooon! I think Alma getting a warp pressence is a bad bad sign. Alright. Not Bad itself. just complicated and very easy to either go horrible wrong or right.

My favorite part of this chapter was Aisha's logical deduction that the day will be glorious chaos and how the hostage situation was. How Armstrong did, wider PRT support for it and the hostages themselves.

"So long as it makes her look worse". Don't forget that part. They can get extra funding if it showcases how badly she handled things.
It will also create an argument for why they should have these director directives because Armstrong did right with his authority while Piggot did wrong by her choices. It even came up in their chat. The same reason Armstrong can do what he does now made Piggot's situation in Brockton's Bay such a nightmare.

So there might be less blow back on the PRT because Armstrong demonstrated good sense with his director directives.
