Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Do you think that Joe could get something similar by using Progress on a piece of media? Possibly also by including the use of a Call Gem to make a piece of media into a product of other dimensions paths of development specifically?

Edit: fuck me I just realized that Joe can probably manifest a completed version of Sphere's moonbase.

He already had the pre-existing ability to see the endless progress chain of anything, his new status as God of Progress should be able to extrapolate from existing sources to generate those, although he would need a pretty big processing capability to do so, fortunately, he has a miniature Moon Cell in his pocket that was practically made for this function.

I am sure that he would love to have a complete Sphere Moonbase in real life if his default dreamscape being it is anything to go by. Maybe the Kerbals could do one after their Simurgh-removal operation.

While reading, I wondered if Taylor gets a key in her pocket & shows it ti Lisa.

On the subject of Space Launch, Joe has a Hangar with a Halo ship, right?

I admit to wanting to read the countdown of a Space Launch, if done in the City, will it be from Coil's area or next to the Rig from Underwater?

I was sitting there wondering if Joe is going to go to shake Brian's hand and see his watch and that will be the reveal. :)

I mean, hasnt he seen Brian without mask before? Or was that only with Lisa.... One sec

Edit: Ok not sure if he unmasked tho I think he did, but he definetly knows his name is Brian.

They have seen each other unmasked plenty of times, the examples i can think of are; when he delivered the knifes, talked to them after fighting Dragon and Brian and Lisa meeting face to face to convince Joe to go to somers rock.

Looking forward to Brian's self imposed barrier between cape and civvie life collapsing.

This chapter remimds me that Taylor is a 15 year old, and not someone who has built in invictus like in some portrayals in fanon.

Accord's recovering sanity is amusing and I could see his organization joining up as a force of order and improvement with the elite.

The monkey's paw aspects of powers make me agree with the prt's angle of flipping villains. A regular joe that crimes and regrets it can still only contribute one guy to improvements, someone like Accord with a legitimately improved mental state is far more than a net boost of one guy.

LOL, I love the idea of the Protectorate and the PRT trying to seduce Apeiron to the 'Light' only to abruptly realize that Accord, Uppercrust, significant parts of the Elite, etc have actually joined Apeiron as loyal and happy underlings.

Eidolon: He's just one Tinkerer.

Alexandria: He's the leader of an entire team.

Legend: Have you not been watching the news!? He's the head of an international organization larger than the Guild. Over four percent of non-Protectorate capes in North America have already joined a local chapter of his organization. Its only been one week since his announcement!

Dragon: Yeah, about that. I was going to inform you at the end of the meeting but...

More seriously, I know that Joe's Perks trump Contessa. Does that mean that the Number Man will likely be the one to sense the first disturbance in the Force? And/or want vengeance for the death of Jack?

Wow, I can't wait until Apeiron's introduction to Cauldron is via a former member of the S9.

Well, another unresolved plot hole is Kurt's invitation, would be fun to accept after the S9 arc.

No. She's not a part of the team, or a part of his power. He also doesn't want to invite her in.
He doesn't want her anywhere near the Maldrone(?) insect he got from Monster Hunter in case it gives her Ideas but the workshop should be big enough now that she can be let in without that being a risk. As long as someone is in position to keep it away from her anyhow. Maybe a specialised Fleet drone?

Unrelated; could Matrix pull off a reasonable Skitter impression? I mean they are all of their nanites regardless of distance and we already know that taking over insect motor control is rather simple (from experiments with cockroaches) so it should be relatively trivial for them to "infect" flies and other things with sufficient nanites to build a control circuit inside the thing's brain…

You know what I just realized? Joe could probably apply his Progress to the Slaughterhouse Nine itself, as in the group itself rather then any single member, to show Jacob all of the ways that he was holding the group back from being better just to rub it in that liiitle bit more how shit he is.

Edit: to clarify I mean apply it to the Slaughterhouse after having removed Jacob from it.

One thing I learned when writing this story was just how many perks in the Celestial Forge amount to 'stuff you make looks really, really pretty' and how many I seemed to roll against all probability or the desperate need for more practical abilities.

then you roll "your stuff always have peak performance as long it looks cool"
and you esentially have a permanent boost to the bottom line of your tech

I just want to note that Lord of the Rings is a total of 550,000 words. I really would like it if whoever is Roustabout's editor would talk with about ways to allow them to speed up their story arcs.

Have we heard anything about chen at all like? there's a dude running around with rwby verse powers and weapons and we've had almost zero reference. we need an outside pov of the cape world maybe the chief of police it can tie in the whole winslow and prt backlash from a normal person perspective

Because Chen is too busy not giving a fuck and wanting to live a normal life. Unlike Passengers, Aura's only drawback is that Grimm suddenly find your liver REALLY tasty and go for it over everything else. And last I checked there were no Grimm on Earth Bet so...
