Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

1. He says that he got beaten by others before the CUI.
No, that he's saying that he was beaten before ABB, by CUI. I told you to read the preamble. I see you did not.

2. He outright says that they were making progress before all manners of capes got involved. Before the CUI.
No, he is saying that they wanted to make progress. No more - no less.

3. Your quote fills me with zero context about actual way of life in CUI.
"The C.U.I. rose with most of the officers and corruption of the old government folded into it." And here we come back to this:
There is always a chance, of rulers who control the Yangban being madmen and some such, but why would you assume it?
There was no assumption on my part. I just actually read the fic.

4. To me this sounds like he was a politic activist, those get beaten all the time in many countries during 'elections'. Nothing here says that CUI were particularly evil.
Let me tell you that, if I would've been the Devil, I would not hire you as my advocate. You would just spill all my crimes and then say that I'm not guilty because "others do that all the time!".

Again, that whole discussion could not exist if tronax actually read Chen's preamble. Tronax, I told it to you once, when you said that Joe can easily fool Entities if he bothered to learn how magic interacts with them, that you should remember what you're commenting on. I told it to you a second time when you said that for Joe scanning tinkertech - impossible. I'm telling it to you again: remember what you read before complaining about it. Any good faith I had is running out, and I'm staring to seriously think that you did not read BCF, and here only to complain about things you know nothing about. Don't let there be a fourth time.

Don't let there be a fourth time.
Sure. You got it.
Trying to argue about plot with fans is always an uphill battle, but it's fun to see how context can be interpreted in creative ways, and arguments twisted/ignored/intentionally misunderstood, while getting accused of doing the same. Trying to twist a quote from a biased local guy who barely touched the subject into a word of god was a particularly inspired move though. Lot's of fun while it lasted.

In Re: CUI
The in-chapter statement about how it was so bad Joe would destroy it if he started is less about the CUI itself than about Joe's view of it, which is that it "didn't deserve to exist" in his subjective judgment.

It's the size of a small city with a build height taller than the biggest skyscrapers. I could use it to practice architecture or civic planning or something like that."

"What's through that door?"

"It's my City Planning Workshop."

"So like a place you can have a scale model of a city?"

"…yes?"

"Cool."

"I guess 1:1 is 'a scale' so sure."

"Power to change my accent, and have it spread to anyone I work with." Aisha looked suitably horrified at the implications. "Don't worry, not the kind of thing I'm going to mess with." I assured her. "The bigger concern in Tybalt."

"What about Tybalt?"

"I don't know how he's going going to weaponize accents, but I know he's going to try."

"I don't know how he's going going to weaponize accents, but I know he's going to try."

Well theoretically it can be used to disturb communications between enemies. Hard to understand what your commander orders if all what you can hear is angry meowing.

...can it work on shards and basically make data they send to each other appear as complete garbage? I mean, probably not, but still

The Perk says it applies to "people you work with". So, I don't think you can use it to mess with your enemies.

However, the CF have access to weaponised colours, so weaponised sounds aren't that far fetched a development. Perhaps have a couple of Duplicates use Daedalus' Student to create a properly functional Brown Note generator, equip members of the Forge with countermeasures, and develop an accent that involves frequent use of that particular sound?

Hard to maintain a reputation as a big tough villain, when a member of the Celestial Forge saying "Hello!" is enough to make you soil your pants…

* I just remark that there is now a member of the Forge which has an issue with drugs (he prefers to call it a "solution"), can insult people in a single word ("Meow") in the most perfect and scandalous way possible, and even got a power to make people underestimate him.

So... Sorry Skidmark. You now have a rival. And he is much better than you at what you do.

* I am not sure how the "underestimate" power will actually be effective. A good estimation is "might not need cocaine to solo an Endbringer, Behemoth is the only "maybe" in the list", so underestimating him is pretty much already S-rank level.

If tybalt uses 'all I know is dyke can play' to make himself seem by fiat as an ordinary cat, he can stay in a group if stray cats and by fiat 'just another grunt' will make people treat him as if he was the same threat level as a stray cat, NO MATTER WHAT.

He stabs you, confusion on how you got stabbed, there is just some stray cats, they can't stab you. As Crake said on the discord server, they can only assess the results, not the source, so it will lead to a constant loop of WHAT IS GOING ON!?!?

The only way to get around it is to treat cats as extremely dangerous, or be mad eye moody levels of paranoid, and even then it will only help you know there is a threat, everyone else will just wonder how a bunch of stray cats got here. It might even end up being seen as a calling card of sorts, since would you really believe a bunch of ordinary cats could take out a parahuman? I mean it is just a cat, must of been been some stranger that stabbed you.

Even if you try to round up the cats to get them away from places stray cats are not allowed, tybalt can kick your shit in and you will be left wondering who did it, as it obviously could not have been the cats, they can't do that.

So yeah the two perks 'all I know is dyke can play' and 'just annother grunt' would be powerful on a human, but the fact a palico gets them means some truly BS stranger effects come into play.

"Yeah, but this is different." I explained. "I'm going off my thinker power for a lot of this, but it's big, and really sensitive. From what I can tell, it's not safe to share the information with you."

Her eyebrows rose. "Seriously?"

I nodded solemnly. "Yes. The workshop defenses should be enough to keep things secure, but if I tell you, it won't be safe for you to leave until we figure out a way to defend against a breach."

"Okay, don't tell me." She said quickly.
Aisha continues to be the most mature and responsible member of the Forge :D
Aisha and I took the significantly more reasonable stance that perhaps the world wasn't ready for a methed up divine war cat.
Another example!
"We will have several hours before the facilities are prepared to begin training." She assured me. "Perhaps you should join Tybalt and Aisha in this exclusion?"
Is the dragon Wish saying this? I thought they weren't sentient?

Spouting things like that, you are not helping the general impression they seem to have of you, ie not actually reading the fic, since basic reading comprehension of what we've been given has negated/contradicted the majority, if not all, of your attempts at points

I will not be interacting with you further, myself, just from what I've read through here.

Anyway, glad to hear that we're timeskipping the training session. Could you imagine what would happen if a years worth of Motes were to occur within a few hours timeframe? The shaking/restructuring would be so intense that I wouldn't be surprised if it was detectable outside the workshop!

I really don't get why people assume that CUI is necessarily evil and needs killing solely based on their bad treatment of parahumans. Need I remind you, that parahumans are a very literal blight on earth Bet society? Given what we know about the impact of parahumans, CUI might in fact be by far the best country to live in the entirety of earth Bet. To just come and ruin it without thinking, because of some delusions of moral high ground? So many protagonists are happy to make life worse for a billion, in order to improve it for thousands, as they don't give a damn about the plot irrelevant unpowered people. Is that really an acceptable stance for a character like Joe?..

The CUI is horrible even if you ignore irl China stuff and the horrible things they do to parahumans including kidnapping anyone downed during the Behemoth fight they could with a teleportation power so they could also be brainwashed into submission they still do horrible stuff to everyone else. The CUI regularly invades everyone around it numerous countries around China have been taken over, their invasion of Russia is why it has its current extreme isolation policy and harsh cape handling system and the main reason Japan never recovered from Kyushu sinking is cause on top of Blake Kaze running around the CUI invaded and did a ton of damage.

As if all that wasn't bad enough you then have what they did during gold morning where they did nothing helpful and were a constant menace running around atking everyone they could to steal what they could from them including the fight scion effort especially once they'd bought teachers tinker tech gadgets to cut off worlds so they couldn't be retaliated against.

My goodness there were a lot of perks for Tybalt. I kinda forget just how much volume of free perks Jumpdocs heep on you sometimes. It's kinda overwhelming.

That's cause companion imports don't just give them the freebies while this one doesn't come with a budget like the others it does have this.

Companion Import (Titanfall) Free:
You can import up to eight companions for free, with additional companions over eight costing an extra 50cp per companion. You may give them either the Drop In, Engineer or Corporate Origin. They receive the 100 and 200 perks of that Origin for free. They start with a free Pilot Weapon. If you wish, you may give all imported companions additional cp by sacrificing some of your own CP.

Forget Workshop shaking. If Uppercrust meeting would've been postponed for what amount to extremely detailed explanation of a single perk, there would be a riot in this very forum. RWBY perk, out of all things!

I know that BCF was created for exploration of perks fist and foremost, but that just takin a piss. Thank Gods for the timeskip.

While I at it, does anyone want to take a guess at what Uppercrust will offer Apeiron for his life? Old man was the one to offer the invitation, so he's gotta have something planned.

My guess is something to do with his Tinker specialty. Apeiron did take that nasty hit back there, so it would make sense that he'd want access to shielding tech, right? Or at least, that's how I'd imagine Uppercrust's thought process.

Other possibilities include favors and contact information, maybe even scans of Uppercrust's and his entourage's powers

Another possibility is if Uppercrust has picked up on how Apeiron is actually looking to do good, he might make a pitch based on how good his survival is for the world. He's basically the reason coastal cities can continue to exist, and he also keeps the more nasty elements of the Elite in check. If he dies all of that goes away.
