Kaworu: At least we know what we wanted.

Rei: Wanted? Past tense?

Kaworu: ...Want?

Rei: ...Yes. Careful this time...

~about four seconds later~

Rei: . . . errr... and now what? Asuka really hasn't covered anything past this point.

Kaworu: Not a clue. This is usually the point where I get another cold shower. The two others told me it seems I still don't have a proper handle on the situation and have to come to grips with it? Then Asuka started giggling.

Rei: Hrm. Let me just grab my phone and call one of them... 'Asuka? How do snu-snu?'

If you check the tapes, Asuka actually fell on Shinji that time.

Good luck convincing her of that, even with photographic proof. :lol

Rei: ...yes, Asuka, we do have such classes in Japan; unfortunately, I was out of school on NERV business when health class covered this topic... Yes, I would prefer not to ask Misato, and you know very well why... Do you think you could provide instruction on the topic? ...Please stop laughing, I am serious! ...No! No, I am not asking you to... well, no, I would not mind it, as such, but... Gah! ...What do you mean, 'trial and error'? <click>

Kaworu: Well, Rei? Was it helpful?

Rei: <sigh>Not beyond advising me in the strongest possible terms not to seek any such information on something known as '4-chan'...

ReI: [...]No! No, I am not asking you to... well, no, I would not mind it, as such, but...
!!!

Clearly, what we're looking at here is a question of transmission of knowledge and skills. So, such a transmission chain needs to be set up. In other words... first, Shinji and Asuka have to teach Rei, and then Rei has to teach Kaworu. ;)

Rei: "You are well aware I am a visual learner."

Asuka: "Are you saying you want to watch?"

Shinji, overhearing the conversation: "Say what?"

Apparently, this is an rp thread now. Oh, the places we go...

Just close your eyes and think of England.

Time for another entry in the Diary of a Madman going through the thread.
Distractions, distractions, distractions. Page...743 now? I seem to exist in a cyclic distraction mode, where my distractions distract each other. Still, I'm somehow managing to exist, and even do school stuff and work, albeit with minimal sleep, now with full-blown Eva dreams. I think I was about to pilot some kind of mostly pink-ish Unit peppered with other colours, when the alarm clock rang.
I also started reading another Eva fic for no particular reason at 2 AM.
Anyway, where was I? Ah, music. You guys suggested a ton of music in the early 700s.

If you don't mind me chiming in late, I've got two pieces for you. There might be more later when I regain enough coherence.

First one's for Kaworu, Rei and the maybe - Impact or whatever happens. Feels appropriate.

The second one...well, the mass Tangification may never happen in A&T, but if it does, I will imagine it set to this classical piece.

Particularly to the last chorus. Wanna know why?
Have you seen Kingsman: The Secret Service?

Got second thoughts about whether the video is alright with rules. Just look up "kingsman fireworks scene".

whispers Guys, I think we broke him.

Pretty sure I managed to break myself.
Meanwhile I'm actively procrastinating because still almost 8 hours till the deadline of some school stuff. Coherence levels fluctuating, to the point that I accidentally switch between SV threads and wondering why the discussion sudenly doesn't make sense.
So here's what you should do: Take a 2-hour nap (DO NOT HIT SNOOZE), finish off your homework, sleep the following 48 hours, then get back to us.

No can do. Work tomorrow, albeit only about four hours.
Not that I'd be able to sleep now anyway, the comments in my Creative Writing online course (I study teaching English, I took that one as an optional course because hey, I get to write stuff and get credit points for it) are making me want to scream incoherently at the screen. I'd anticipated learning my shortcomings, getting some constructive criticism, suggestions on improvement.
Instead, the next best thing to a criticism was a short question from the teacher herself, asking me whether I deliberately (misspelling deliberately in the process) referred to the planet Earth as 'her'. Being the my usual smart-arsed self, I replied that I didn't, the character did.
The rest of the comments (which we are required to provide) are nothing-saying 'I like it, looking forward to more' comments. Hell, even the teacher left one or two like that!

Don't panic.

Look at this:

When you've finished reading this line, look at it again.

Do you feel better now?

I feel..the same? Not that I panicked anyway in the first place, it was mostly blind rage.

You belong to us now.

Nah, I belong to one cute little lady...who most likely isn't even aware of that.

This means that people like your work. You're doing fine, all will be well.

Am not doing fine. The work was sloppy, hastily put together and submitted an hour late to boot.

I warned you.

my Creative Writing online course

Huh. Wish I'd gotten a chance to go for that back when I studied teaching, instead of getting stuck with the useless optatives I did. The closest thing to Creative Writing I got was being told to write a narrative text no longer than a thousand words for English class.

I did ace that, though.

Oh, well. Belated welcome to the thread. And don't procrastrinate on your work, you're going to be preaching that when you're done studying, after all! :)

I've got this funny habit of disregarding warning labels.

I got to the point where one activity doubles as procrastination relatively to another. And as I've started reading NME, it's quite interesting to compare the approach of that and A&T, not to mention Stryp and Susano bouncing ideas and views off each other.

Our university is quite tolerant about signing up for courses from different programs or even faculties. I think we get reduced credit points if it's too unrelated but don't quote me on that. Still, it's quite frustrating when a course doesn't meet your expectations, even though in this case it's not the fault of the course itself.

You should get working on that. As Eva and this fic show waiting for things to happen on their own doesn't so much work.

It's kinda complicated (yeah, what isn't?). It's a huge distraction that I don't think I can afford right now.
