*staring in mute horror*
I edited in "another thread" as another solution. And here's the thing, I looking at all sides, and I suspect there's some fundamental misunderstandings, but that's okay, this how people are, and only by rubbing up against each other can we learn.Except the posters are a point of the criticism as well.
I find it interesting that your solution to having a dissenting opinion is "take it where I can't see it." Think about what that implies and get back to me.
And from what I know, Poptart wants a thread that blessedly free of heated arguments.
Oh Good... but...
Probably when a mod is called but not as a mod, then another mod comes to watch them then reports come and all the mods start to scurry?...
We've had like a dozen different staff in the thread today. Is that ever normal?
There are quests and other threads with multiple staff as regular participants. Partly depends who you class as staff, mind, but in some threads seeing three or more mods is just 'and there's the regulars'....

Eeh. I think you overestimate the significance of Cetashwayo posting. I've seen him do perfectly ordinary mod actions, such as giving a friendly warning in an RP thread about spaghetti posting. Now, this was in a higher than mod capacity, but having a rank higher than mod posting doesn't, necessarily, mean they are acting as anything other than an ordinary mod, even when it's not as an ordinary user.It was very much not 'and there's the regulars' though. This was 'All hands to stations, batton down the hatches and fetch the buckets.'
We even got an assistant admin. This was all kinds of bad news bears.
This is wrong. Kakara doesn't like fighting and has never liked fighting. Her recent trait evolution just means she doesn't consider it morally wrong to defend yourself. She's still the same girl who evolved rather than got rid of the Gentle trait. She likes winning, so she only likes fighting if she wins.Kakara loves fighting as much as any Saiyan, but her pacifist values and her high power makes it difficult to get any kind of a decent match without being abusive to someone.
Ok, so you support the Yes option then?
No I don't. Kakara won't automatically like something just because it involves her winning. In this case, she doesn't want to fight this kid for reasons beyond simply not liking fighting in general. Why she wouldn't want to fight has already been stated by others in the thread and I'm not going to get into cyclical argument.Ok, so you support the Yes option then?
Because were guaranteed to win
Well that contradicts what you just said but ok.No I don't. Kakara won't automatically like something just because it involves her winning. No it doesn't. If the kid challenged her to a "who can kill the most Saiyans" contest she'd win that too, but it doesn't mean she'd enjoy the activity.
Whats that got to do with a Sparring match though? I mean there are some good arguments you could have said but making a false equivalence between murdering lots of people and a friendly sparring match isn't one.No it doesn't. If the kid challenged her to a "who can kill the most Saiyans" contest she'd win that too, but it doesn't mean she'd enjoy the activity.
Again, if it was just a friendly sparring match, Kakara would probably be ok with it, but there's more to this fight than just a fight.Whats that got to do with a Sparring match though? I mean there are some good arguments you could have said but making a false equivalence between murdering lots of people and friendly sparring match isn't one.
Explicitly untrue - we've overcome our distaste for fighting, to the point where she gets excited seeing good fights, and no longer have a malus for fighting-related actions. Kakara doesn't like hurting people, and has been aware of the difference for several years now. This is wrong. Kakara doesn't like fighting and has never liked fighting. Her recent trait evolution just means she doesn't consider it morally wrong to defend yourself. She's still the same girl who evolved rather than got rid of the Gentle trait. She likes winning, so she only likes fighting if she wins.
