@BungieONI I assume that the reason for switching policies is to save the True Cities. Wouldn't it be easier to recover them later, though, than to whack the HK later? With a single Main War Mission, it'll be challenging to even push them out of the lowlands.

It gets 4 war missions in and reforms at least 2 of our True Cities, possibly more. It doesn't get as much Stability as I'd like, but it means that we can guaranteed deal with the HK and kick them out of the lowlands. edit: It also means we'll have enough stats to get the GA advancements.

BungieOni's plan keeps our free cities around, but it fails the Urban Poor quest due to the +20 EE we'll be getting at the end of the turn from Txolla's integration
It also swapped out a Main Build Mills for a Main Build Gymnasium.

Would appreciate any Marriage option analysis from peeps.

Wait a freaking minute.

Aren't the SY at war last we heard? And wouldn't an alliance require that we help?
It would require that we help. Also, unless I'm mistaken, they're adjacent to the Tin Tribes, Freehills, or both. They are asshole conquerers who may attack our trading partner/friend. We absolutely should not ally with them on those merits alone, to say nothing of their stance on slavery and their general assholeness.

Damn, looks like the HK conquest is, once again, not possible.

Still, with the northern part of the lowlands fully secured, and the King confident he can restore the status quo in the southern lowlands by saving the Harmurri, we will still be in a better position after the war ends then we were in the beginning. This also lets us focus on the dam and canal, so that the next time the HK attack, they will be facing a far more mobile and well supplied force.

Don't we have the Mercenaries in our general pool right now? They cost 3 Econ. If we take them out, they cost 6 Wealth instead but the Econ bleed slows down a bit.

Yep, that Marriage to the SY stinks of underhanded tactics you know? They will probably try to spirit Alyx away from us to help on their conquests.

Storm Ymaryn are coming for your husbandos!

tentatively going with notgreat's plan, since it seems like it accomplishes our objectives simply and straightforwardly. I'd kinda prefer a second Guild Main Mills, but I'm absolutely willing to compromise on that.

One main war might be enough to slow the HK so Harmurri survive, and then we can go back to booting them properly next turn?

Also, we're currently in danger because we had to fight a three front war. Why not consider alliances with peers? They're slavers, well, so were the Khemetri. Achieve industrial revolution to remove slavery.

I don't see anything underhanded about this. It's standard diplomacy. "You're scary, let's be friends?"

The issue is that they should know what our stat caps are. While Expand Econ is what they'll certainly do to hit our caps, I don't trust them to continue Expand Econ-ing past that point.

Also, integrating Txolla at the end of the turn guarantees our cities don't reform, failing the Urban Poor quest. I'd prefer to avoid that.

Logarithmic is still non-linear.

@HeWhoAdds
We spend 4 Econ(2 from Annex, 2 from Dam) We don't starve. We spend 16 wealth. We have -4 Expansion income right now, and if the provinces take 5 Expand Econs that's +30 Economy and -27 Expansion(it would be 30, but the overflow of Econ by 3 into wealth gives back 3 Expansion). Since income is before expenses we go down to 3 Expansion for a brief moment. Mills comes into play and we get to 7 Expansion. Expansion refunds from the Annex and Dam come into play and we get to 11 Expansion. Then the Txollan integration goes into play(If I take it as a Main) and we gain 20 Expansion and 13 Econ, of which 4 is gained as Expansion for a net of 24 so we end at 35 Expansion in the mid turn.

Well shucks. Gonna drop Txolla to secondary then. If I do that we end up at 11 Expansion the next phase and keep most of our cities. We then have to take another Expand Econ Main PSN to drop us to around 23 Expansion in the next main turn.

@BungieONI, Main Build Gymnasium is a worse action than Main Build Mills, but you are voting for it which is making other people vote for it. Please change it. The +1 point in Martial tolerance is not as important as the extra innovation rolls. We need to decrease the labour done in Ymaryn society so we can deal with the half-exile reforms, plus it goes well with the Great Dam. Main Gymnasium gives us nothing nearly as valuable as that.

As in they are currently at war and want to borrow our Genius General so they can beat Freehills.

Because we left them to slapfight Freehills to no effect.

@Academia Nut

Because of our culture of polygamy can we pick multiple marriage options?

Historically, Alexander did indeed have multiple wives.

One of them murdered the other two after he died to secure the legacy of her yet unborn child.

Additionally, the matter of his marriage had come up. He had risen through the ranks with extreme quickness and thus despite being a little over the age where a proper patrician's son should get married, the issue had been left a bit in limbo for a few years. The initial considerations of his family had gone out the window once they had recognized that their usual contacts would be insufficient for his future standing, and now that he was heir to the crown... well, now who he married was a matter of importance to the kingdom. Especially since the king of the Storm Ymaryn had sent word that he had a few lovely daughters who were of marriageable age. Wink wink.

He had actually literally gone 'wink wink' in the message, adding the special characters for that to the end of his sentence. The scribes suggested that maybe there had been something of a change in meaning.

Given that he's implicitly Alexander the Great I was expecting Alyx to be one of our queer heroes. Is that going to be a problem for the marriage?

This sounds like it's playing with fire to me. Why not drop the Txollan integration entirely if we're planning on the provinces maxxing out econ? We can integrate them after we have five free cities.

I dunno if you explained elsewhere but why not go all-in on mills? We've talked a lot about how we need rapid advances in mechanization to deal with the lack of forced labor, and this seems like an excellent chance to actually take steps in that direction.
