Golden Ages are freaking amazing. Narratively, they're unifying since everyone is happy. Mechanically, the sheer stat income they provide is also rather ridiculous, and many of the innovations are extremely valuable.

If we had gone with the extra wealth last turn we would've been fine since we'd be at 4/3 and a. -1 wouldn't cause any problems. We didn't, so we should take the Trade Excitement so that we stay at 3/3 and start getting those bonuses.
Wait, are you saying we are close to a Golden Age?

Eh, no it's not, at least, not on the one map that has Spirit Channel. As far as I always knew, Spirit Channel is the pass between MH and TS into lowlands.
why do you think the channel is open for settlement now? its because the thunder speakers got wiped by the Ass Eater Ash Faced nomads, so the area was depopulated. AN was pretty clear on this.

[X] [MP] Spread the Wealth Around (All Subordinates Receive +0-1 Loyalty)
[X] [Int] Attempt to tear out these maniacs, root and branch (-2 Intrigue, -1 Stability, -1 Legitimacy, -1 RA, ???)
[X] [Ext] Find out more about what the Highlanders are up to (Main Trade Mission)
[X] [React] Need more scouts (Sec More Blackbirds + Sec More Spiritbonded)
[X] [PSN] Main Expand Econ (-2 Cent + Costs)

Look, at the latest map Spirit Channel is that place where the "-er(s)-" in "Thunder Speakers" are. There is no river there, not the one I can see.
you mean this one?

what do you call that long blue line, then? The Spirit Channel is the TS' WHOLE TERRITORY

No, that's super old map. I mean the one marked "awesome map" in Informational.
the spirit channel doesn't link MH and TS, it links the TS and the Steppe. The Tocholli river is part of the spirit channel.
@Academia Nut please confirm?
Edit: Also, with respect to the mapmaker, this is hardly to scale or perfectly accurate: its clearly designed to resemble ancient-styled maps. Also, pretty sure that amber shores is to the northeast

And what I am saying is that it's exactly where Spirit Channel is, and river comes from super unpassable mountains . Maybe we do need AN at this, because an older map (Best on the market in Informational) marks Spirit Channel as the pass between TS and MH.
Awesome map is not cannon.
Since when?

Because we have 3 maps made by players that are awesome maps, are nearly equal to each other, but AN insists on posting his own version of the maps?

Awesome map is awesome, but it is sadly wildly inaccurate in places. The Thunder Speakers actually sit in the western gap on that map, the Snake River on that map is the Great River (linguistic drift turned the Snake to the Snycruv). In the map I need to update, the Spirit Channel is basically on the far western side of the territory labelled as the 'Thunder Speakers', their river is essentially useless within their own territory because it passes through very rough terrain and is unnavigable rapids all through the mountains, and does not flood in a sufficiently reliable manner to use for agriculture.

Huh. So I guess we're both were wrong?
Edit: how is the eastern pass between MH and TS called then, anyhow?

Will we have a project to make a river more useful if we integrate this land into core?

this is why i thought there wasn't one, along with your description of the channel as a dry canyon or some such verbage
