See, I figured that was what the tear them out root and branch option was, not just cracking down but outright eliminating the radical priests. It doesn't make sense that it would be the monotheists since it doesn't have the "enemy Intrigue options reduced" note.
That seems more of a kill them all approach. Thing is, we also have to look at the Narrative. Which one will likely increase the Con of Purity?

...problem is they all sound like they do that ._.

Unlike Influence, it does not change their culture closer to ours, so I do not recommend it. Better try to tale actions in a way which allows us to take Main Influence next turn while accomplishing our other goals. Either Main Great Annex here or Royal Investment fot Dam progress should do the trick. I will post three different plans - those two and the one whih builds around taking both Warships and March - when I get to desktop instead of phone.
Except their problem was not the difference in culture, but the isolation caused by the Horseman Plague. Helping increase Trade between them and us will persuade them that it is much better to stay with the Ymaryn than try and break off.

Keep in mind that the Stats have not been changed yet.

This would be one reaction where could actually put the Terrify action to good use, but alas, it's not a choice for dealing with the HK...

Stay on target...

[X] [MP] Royal Investment (+1-2 Free Progress to Dam Project)
[X] [Int] Attempt to tear out these maniacs, root and branch (-2 Intrigue, -1 Stability, -1 Legitimacy, -1 RA, ???)
[X] [Ext] They are an obvious threat to you and your Games partners (Main War Mission)

[X] [PSN] Main Expand Forests (-2 Cent + Costs)
[X] [React] Expand Great Hall (2xGreat Hall Annexes)

The nomads are getting horse archers. We need that march ASAP.

We also need to back the swamp folk. Bang a drum.

Ah. If it means facilitating trade between us and Vassals you are right. I was under impression it's just bribing local aristocrats.
@Academia Nut , what exactly "Spread the wealth around" entails? More trade, bribing them or?

We don't need Trade Excitement. Main Expand Economy will overflow Economy and give us the amount of Wealth needed to complete the Guild request.

Y'all're getting it wrong!

The puritans aren't the monotheists. The puritans oppose the monotheists.

To fight the purity value, rip out the puritans! This is our chance!

would sending a trade mission to the hamurri be possible to feel out their stance and whether they'd be amenable to working together against highlanders?

I *think* the tear-out option means to attack puritans and maybe the monotheist agitators, but it *might* mean to attack all the monotheists, even the sane ones, because religious reasoning be crazy like that. Idk, I voted for it but if AN indicates it's the second one I won't be too surprised.

whether they'd be amenable to working together against highlanders?
"Hey Harmurri, we want to help you stop these other guys from conquering you, is that cool with you?"
They'd have to be insane to refuse, surely?

We're taking a Legitimacy hit. That means our bastard subordinates are less likely to listen to us, so shoring up Loyalty is the smart thing to do. Getting more warships will further serve to ensure the continued loyalty of the west.

Economy will overflow into Wealth. There is no need to do Trade Excitement to get Stability from the guilds.

Resources are good.

Either works, don't want to send our our mercs now.

Finish noblequest.

That's why we're attempting to remove them root and branch, along with the fanatic monotheists.

"Rip [group of people] out" is exactly what we're trying to fight against! You want to do to the puritans as the puritans want to do to the monotheists; it's basically the same shit. You know how we get Purity to weaken? By having different groups of people with diametrically opposed views living in the same society. That is the hard, but fruitful way.

So we should only crack down on the Puritans for the shit they've been doing, but not persecute them as a group.
