We really should talk to Niko first before we just blurt out anything on Hijiri.

Unless Niko is clueless on how to combat her devices own effects this line is sufficient by itself.

A reminder that this is active grief and the witchiness can be used by other girls as a means to detect Sabrina. It can also turn out to be one of the more time consuming constructs Sabrina has/will attempt to make. If Niko knows or has devised other countermeasures and this turns out to not be strictly necessary, I'd rather not do this.

I have no objections to the line per say but I don't believe Kirika's skill in enchantment makes me confident she can make a suitable enchant that would protect the group in a way that either wouldn't take too long to make, protects effectively or doesn't have other detrimental effects (such as disabling the holder's own magic in the process). Also remember, Kirika can only undo active effects. The memory field may be too passive and could slip through.

I agree with this. If they knew about the clear seed in the first place they should also know that we are handing them out, so they could have just asked, that they didn't and instead resorted to theft, isn't a point in their favor. If they turn out not to be horrible people and are redeemable here, than we can still give them a clear seed later, once that's been established.

I'm all for handing out clear seeds, but if it's to people who acted against our buddies in the immediate past and haven't given us any reason as to why we should forgive this, I don't think it's a good idea. They've kinda shown that they should not be trusted with free magic.

The thing is, if Hijiri happens to just be standing in a corner, and then we make the privacy sphere, she's gonna be stuck outside (assuming we do the sphere first and then the privacy bit. There's always the chance Niko=Hijiri, of course, but if that's the case there's not much way for us to tell outside of telepathy, her telling us herself, or us flossing the area and shredding the forget-me cloak that would probably be shrouding the real Niko, so...

And I really like the idea that someone mentioned of contacting Homura and asking her to act as a safeguard against mind magic. It doesn't have to be too big of a deal, especially if we just ask her to contact us every half hour or so for a quick explanation of what we've done so far, so she can catch if we've forgotten something.

So I was on the good part of youtube and I think I've discovered new brain damage for Sabrina. It may not win us any Mami points, but the rest of our friends should think it's hilarious.



We can even have a Mami-duck and a Sabrina-duck and make cute romantic gestures as we slowly go mad with rubber duckies.

It's not ideal, but that's the situation we're in. We have to drop the bomb on Niko or else the rest of her team goes in blind.

For reference, Firn if you're reading this, I'd prefer to keep the telepatalk as vague as possible while still making sure Niko understands. But we can't spend too much time, so I didn't specify in the vote in case it's simply not an option.
 
Hello all! I'm the fellow who's hiding in the corner, don't mind me.
Really though , I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I found out about this particular quest by way of an offhand mention in Strypgia's lovely Advice and Trust, and since I absolutely adore PMMM, I decided to give this a try. I'm happy to say I love the way this has been going, and I hope I can eventually bring something other than terrible puns to the table!


In all seriousness, when it comes to our search we will NEED to prepare for the worst, in case our mystery thief tries anything funny. Perhaps if/when we split the party, we leave one girl/group to act as a relay/organizer for the search teams. Perhaps Niko, due to her technology expertise, or, hell, I'd even say we (Sabrina) could just hole up in a modified interdiction sphere and only allow telepathy through. Granted, I don't think we'll end up doing so as we tend to lead from the front, but it is just a thought.
