I would roll to see how "stable" they are, although obviously certain kinds of genius are more stable than others.

AKA, Culture Genius is likely the most unstable. Think Beethoven. Admin and Diplo are likely fairly stable as these require at least some understanding of other people, though I would assume Diplo is probably the most stable. I'm not terribly sure what a Diplo genius would look like, though. Possibly along the lines of FDR or Churchill. Or maybe somebody like Charles Ponzi.

And the update stated that they were less than impressed with our attempts at using that as diplomatic leverage. They aren't bowing to that pressure.

This seems reasonable as a stopgap measure until we can get the canal.
