It might be a good idea to pair the Main War Mission with a Terrify. It could cause civilization collapse without necessarily conquering the whole territory.

"Burn it all," Phygrif said after a moment. "We don't have time to do this proper. Begin smashing down buildings for firewood, the inhabitants can bring their valuables to us or surrender as captives if they want to escape, otherwise they can sit in their homes as flames take them. We'll smash open the inner wall and won't even loot, just burn. Metals will just melt so if we really want to we can come back later to pick up anything of value."

Everyone around him went wide eyed, but then they all nodded and the commands were issued to have the city a burnt out, dead husk by sunset the next day. Tens of thousands would die, but so would Xohyr and everything it stood for, and then the king could deal with those who had decided to take a swing at him.

If he had any regrets, it was the destruction of the flammable and fragile loot - all the prettiest women among the families of the nobles and priests chief among them.

... ok I like this guy a bit less now, this kind of atrocity is not something we want viewed as ok in our culture. Also surprised that Xohyr's luck finally ran out. It's rather darkly ironic that they died on a roll that was probably less likely to kill them than not given we withdrew troops.

Megaproject completed! Wonder Completed!
Greater Sacred Forest
The People live in harmony with the forest, and understand its needs and wants. When the weather shifts, the People are able to rapidly adapt so long as they have access to their forests. In addition to automatically managing forests and being able to plant more, the People are now immune to short term moderate climate fluctuations, and when experiencing longer term climate change only suffer damage once to account for adjusting their environmental balance. Against more catastrophic environmental fluctuations take reduced damage and have the ability to fight the damage where others can only suffer. Additionally, the Expand Forest and Study Forest actions are now merged. WARNING: Requires a minimum of two temples or two libraries to remain functional. Failure to maintain this requirement can result in the loss of critical knowledge and the breakdown of the system, degrading the wonder

mmm, tasty. we are going to want to get a third of whatever we use so were not one lost structure away form losing it. I'm leaning towards getting a library since I think a scholarly approach might serve us better here.

hopefully now that we are not actively invading someone we can start shoring up our issues. were down to cent 3 so we can likely start making trails to help tie our people together for breathing room, then maybe try and rush the palace for more.

Well one thing we can do is:

x2 Main Trails
Secondary war missions
-kick war missions

That should do it.

My first thoughts anyway.

[X] [RB] East, go through the lowlands into the hills

We'll have to restore our own stability, but we can do that thanks to Enforce Justice being amazing so long as we have the Centralization room. Thus we Expand Forests to open up another charcoal slot so we can do that.

Xoh have been destroyed with their core priests burnt and legacy wonder shattered, another ancient civilization have been ruined; can we withstand the test of time?

Now is not the time to rush into things, the king is about to kick the bucket; and our tired warriors need to rotate with fresh ones.

This sets us up for more trails next turn as well.

This is the easy choice. We need better Admin, and this should help. The temples we will want to build ourselves. 1st one in Redshore and the 2nd one in Black River.

We wanted to go for DM Trails, this is the best way to do it I think. Sadly, I don't think being on [] Defensive would be enough, since it can't launch its own war mission...

Sacred Forest, main because it fit the narrativ, but also because it's a political neutral choice, that technically favors neither north (who might feel embolded to break wih us otherwise) nor the south (which might cause the north to feel insulted), by simple favoring the spirits

Salt Gift cause we need the diplomacy if we wish to integrate the North & that is a nice way to buy off the thunder speakers for the next few turns, by reminding them where they get all their salt from

Fuck yeah Phy you did it!! Damn ee really sacked a city all we needed was to salt the lands and it'll be hello Rome! Okay we should double main new trails and build the library in Valleyhome since the North will build a temple anyway. We should also switch to a defensive policy since the Thunder Horse will attack us in due time.

Regain control of the north through trails. Our next few turns should combo the ability to continue roading and continuing to road.

If we double Main Trails, we should give the Temple to the North. That was a big part of their wishlist.

And it should synergize a bit as new pilgrimage routes being opened to the amazing new temple.
