I don't think her knowledge belongs there. How could Walpurgisnacht possibly know about Rebellion?

Walpurgisnacht is the stage-constructing Witch. I don't see any reason why she couldn't take the "script" and "read ahead" - especially if she has narrative-based powers, as many people seem to believe. The power to make the world into a narrative requires an author, someone "above" the story, and even within the limitations of karmic potential, that's... well, a bullshit power.

Of course, it's just as plausible that our knowledge comes from Madoka's wish, and I'm committing the no-limits-fallacy vis-a-vis Walpurgisnacht.

@Firnagzen
"Yeah, essentially," you say. "That's not going to happen, but basically, Hiroko manipulates both Yuuri and the Soujus into fighting them, and then takes advantage to have her revenge. Not completely successfully, mind you, but..."
:O
Hiroko manipulates both Yuuri and the Soujus
It was Hiroko's plan all along!

You sigh. It's getting later, and you should be going. "I apologise for the doom and gloom," you say. "If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave?"

"You're welcome to stay longer, but no, I don't have anything," Oriko answers. Kirika shrugs, flashing you a grin as she wraps herself around the seer.
You know I now really want to ask O to have us over for dinner some time.

It wastes less of Homura's :turian:time:turian: to multitask, anyway.
"Patience" might be a better term.
and emphazise Madoka's well being.
I'm not sure I quite understand how this is supposed to manifest as dialogue. Just say that it's important?

Seconded, but let's not ever tell Homura.

My modifications.

[x] Insist on thanking Homura. Appreciate her effort and patience with you, Oriko, and the whole Asunaro thing. Pull her into a hug, if possible.
-[x] Ask her how about her day with Madoka and Sayaka: be apologetic for your slip up this morning and emphazise asking after Madoka's well being.
-[x] Ask if there's anything you can do to help Homura. That supply raid's scheduled soon? You could even go right now.

[x] Share your thoughts about Walpurgisnacht's possible origins: Tart's Potential and gear motif, Riz's abilities, and the helpless nature shared by both Walpurgisnacht and the event of Tart's death. Compare notes with what Homura has observed.
-[x] Discuss plans for Walpurgisnacht, including both recruitment and power interaction testing. When works for her?
--[x] You want to visit Tokyo's council, does she have any recommendations?

Well, it's not direct dialogue, just showing more concern for Madoka than anything else.

Definitely leave potentialbomb for an upcoming. One thing at a time; we don't have to do everything all at once.

-Does Homura have even the foggiest idea who the hell Tart and Riz are?
-Do Walpurgisnacht's origins even matter per say?
Walpurgisnacht as such is basically the least of our problems right now, most of them being social and political in nature.
On Tokyo: I'd feel much more comfortable flying by there after we've built up a regional coalition with the cities we already have diplomatic channels with. One of the Big 3 cities (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka) deciding we're too valuable/dangerous to go unconquered/live and dogpiling us with a literal army of meguca is one of the few things that actually poses a credible threat to Mitakihara, combat-wise.

Can't we just, you know, talk? If there's a topic Homu would be interested in, it's WP.

I'd like Sabrina to share these ideas and Homu is the ideal person to share them with.

I haven't read this manga, but if the Soujo's are actually taking care of the Soul Gems and making sure they don't witch, she may believe she's rescuing them.

Of course, I could be totally off base on that.

They're just insane and want Soul Gems because they're shiny.

The Pleiades are the one putting Soul Gems in a freezer so they don't Witch out.

I asked if we had anything to talk about when the idea to have the homutalk after oriko's was floated, and I didn't get much of an answer then either. :V

We implied the talk was important, and that's what dropping the potentialbomb is for; other than that, smalltalk, weapons raiding, and talking shop about science/meguca politics should fill plenty of 'time'.

I'm still not convinced that WPN has world-bending meta-powers, and the context we're fighting her in this time is totally different. The sheer overwhelming gigafuck of firepower we're bringing to bear should turn it into a fairly straightforward "shoot/rend the witch until it dies" affair (not to conflate 'simple' with 'easy'). Homura never had infinite ammunition, Madoka never had infinite MP, and we know that it can be killed with as few as 4 seasoned veterans-- we're liable to bring dozens, or upward of a hundred, once Mitakihara gets flooded.

While possible, there's no canon evidence of this. Like Narrator said, they're basically (a) trophy-collecting serial killer(s), or like one of those Vietnam-era soldiers who went loopy and started up a necklace of ears.

This can be the small talk. I mean, as far as Homu goes... it's no talk or SRSTALK and non-combat talk about Walpurgis might be just the thing.

We know it can be beaten by managing to get every meguca in the plot to work through their problems and to work together.

An interpretation is that Walpurgis is satisfied with the ending and lets herself be beaten.

Wait. If Walpurgisnacht is actually Jeanne...

Does that mean we're a Saint? :V

(Note: This Witch does not currently endorse the Walpurgisbrina theory.)

Um I have a question about the Soujo's. If they're collecting soul gems and we beat the crap out of them and take the soul gems, are we going to be able to return them to their proper bodies, or is it likely that they've been disposed of already?

Also I think that Onmur's vote/course of action is good and i've just made some comments on it:

[x] Insist on thanking Homura. Appreciate her effort and patience with you, Oriko, and the whole Asunaro thing. Pull her into a hug, if possible.
Hugs for Mom.

Apologies are always good.

Shopping with Mom is always nice.

I have no objections to this.

Making a list of everyone we think would join and the viability of using them would be good. We should probably start recruitment soon since we're gonna need an Meguca Army to take on Walmart Night. And an organized army that's run a few drills of strategy's we're going to use might be asking a bit much, but I think it's possible if we start soon enough.
--[x] You want to visit Tokyo's council, does she have any recommendations?
This is totally a thing we should do if we want the councils deliberations about the Clear Seeds to go anywhere anytime soon.

We don't even know which city a given soul gem in their collection is from. Definitely going to have to grow them new bodies.

Well, at least most of those bodies should be heavily discomposed by now.

So we'll really need to get on with the cloning project thing. Hopefully Riona (Soulguca) will be nice and help us, by analyzing Soul Gems and hopefully pulling out magical blueprints of the megucas' bodies.

We could practice by raiding Walmarts. :V

Soulguca isn't going to be here for a while. Worth asking if Kyuubey can tell us what they looked like, or if Rin's healing can touch them up, or if the Soujus can be mind controlled into sharing what they remember.

Or get photos.

Let's say, maybe we can make an empty Brinaclone or something, connect the Soul Gem to that, then ask her all we need to know to make their new bodies just like theirs used to be.

Niko's power should be really helpful in this. She's the clone maker, amongst other things (FMA-style alchemy).

There's also that new Shrine Maiden meguca Nadia told us about, who stragiht up creates matter. Could help.

Sure, but I'd prefer to not wake them up in a foreign body if we can help it.

It's not ideal, but making a simple body with Niko's powers, then modifying it based on info from the girl herself, is by far the fastest solution we currently have access to, and should have very few negative long term effects for the girl herself.

Our power categorically fails when attempting to scan information from soul gems, so barring soulguca's assistance or Sayaka doing something crazy, it's likely the best we'll be able to do on short notice.

A bigger question is how we want to handle the mental states of the revived girls, when due to their defeated status, there's a non-trivial chance of their friends being dead/witched.

Looks like we're gonna be making Mamigold Hotel or whatever earlier than we thought. Plus they'd be in hella debt to us so maybe asking for help with Walmart Night will be easier. Kinda scummy sounding when put that way, but it's an thought.
