I still don't understand what makes people think the untrained teenager can manage to do what her mother the famed shaman not only failed at... but got killed trying. Just because she says IC she could manage it?

In my oppinion dead Rulwyna is more likely than any other outcome.

Said famed shaman didn't take care of herself properly and probably don't care too much about safety protocol.

Rulwyna would be stupid to do this all on her own anyway. Hopefully, she's smart enough to enlist assistants and do small scale experiment. Are there people who work with her mother?

She's the only person who understood what Lolwyna was talking about at all, just didn't spend much time on it.

Others didn't try and didn't WANT to try since Lolwyna was total ass at social and pissed them off.

You realize the narrative is from her perspective? All it tells us is that she thinks she understands it... in spite of the fact that she had nothing to do with her mother or said studies since she was five. To me that stinks of adolescent pride no more, no less. She might get lucky on a crit but otherwise I think the attampt will just kill her.

One conversation.... not a substitute for years of training. And again she thinks she understands. We have no independent confirmation of her actual skill in matters mystical unlike say diplomatic competence (the fact that she is well liked) martial competence (the fact that she is still alive).

I am not Kiba but AN once gave a WoG that he is planning to saddle us with a new Debilitating Belief to "mix things up" if I remember the wording correctly. We had assumed that this had something to do with the temple repair vote but it would be much more insidious for AN to put it in a mystery box with no clear indication what the result is save for the estimation Rulwyna herself did.

Honestly, I have half a mind to steer the vote towards "Conquest" vote because even if it meant martial victory as a way to attain Kingship, the fact that a female is doing it should steer the male biases once more and gain us more Hatter land before HK got to them.

I am pretty confident we dodged that DB, the WoG's around then were tied to the Legacy we got right around then, I.e the March Legacy. He said that the Legacy was a carrot to the mix things up of the DB.

Is this a new chance to gain a DB? Possibly. Doubtful though in my mind.

Gaining more land would be nice, though it might screw with our True City or risk it.
