I suspect that, when we ask Oriko about Asunaro, she's going to look at Mami and Kirika and point an eyebrow at us like "We can't talk about it around them". That's why I have my vote so open. It's also why I have infohazard handling included; we're going to have to explain to Kirika and Mami why we're excluding them from the discussion. I don't see us having much of an approach for that other than "be supportive, reinforce that it's a general problem, and otherwise let Sabrina do Mumibrina things."

I think Vebyast has the right of it here. The witchbomb is a huge part of our strategy and planning right now. Almost the core of it even. If we can't discuss it even at arm's removal, we can't answer Mami honestly when we discuss why we're scheduling and setting things up like we are.
At the very least we can tell her it's a giant problem, and that a magical girl who learns of it will often either fall into despair or set herself to fixing it, both of which can have disastrous results.

Kirika is witchbombed already. Oriko told her before Kirika even contracted. That means exclusions on info grounds will exclude Mami specifically, which is... non-optimal.
I'm hoping that Oriko can phrase her advice in such a way that Mami isn't witchbombed from it. She can even explicitly say "Mami shouldn't go, the risk of information from there causing her trauma is too great." and have it work, since information about information being restricted isn't itself restricted.
That being the case, I don't think excluding Mami from the conversation now, when doing so is unnecessary, is a good approach.

...If Kirika's been witchbombed, is there a reason we're not bringing her to Asunaro? If we're worried about mad science, a general SCIENCE suppressor sounds like an excellent idea, and Sabrina works best with friends. By a lot. Honestly, the "we're going alone" part of the Asunaro plan has been bugging me for a while.

Because Homura gets twitchy anytime we let her out of the house, and because she might not want to leave Oriko alone. Other than that, she's a great choice to have along on something like this.
Keep in mind that nothing's decided about the trip yet. Not what time tomorrow we're going or who's coming with. A lot of that depends on what Kazusa says when we talk to her.

There's no reason not to as long as Homura is okay with it. It would tremendously reduce the amount of stuff that can go really wrong, too.

2 - Leave privacy settings up in the air/up to Oriko. I'm gonna have to go against that, because we're about to broach a sensitive subject for Mami in front of people she really doesn't consider friends.
It's not 'we need to consult everything with Mami', it's 'this is a private, sensitive issue for Mami' and she was already feeling guilty earlier for not contacting Kazusa for so long, when she asked Nadia about her. What happened between Mami and Kazusa? Who knows.
As for giving reasons for out visit to Asunaro, I think we can truthfully say they might be short on Seeds, and let Sabrina hint towards darker stuff if necessary.

Best practices. If QB can hear us, it knows the only things we discussed were information it already had. If it's private, it doesn't know what new information may or may not have been discussed.
If it's less able to model our knowledge, it's harder to model our reactions, and thus its less likely to act.
