It's important to remember that we are only clarifying Crow, not the King of Gods/God of Kings. If we place the KoG at the center, we're just inflating his importance...not actually specifying his attributes.

I did indeed read the last update, and find it insulting to be told otherwise so please stop. There is zero need to get this bent sounding about this particular option.
*sigh* This is the third time I've lost my temper in this thread. Next time, I'll definitely keep better control over myself. Sorry for going off at you.

When we got Love of Wisdom, which was what I was talking about, it was Crow in his guise playing a trick on us and we did not know the reason. Our shamans speculated that it was to benefit us in the end but my understanding was they were not sure. That is the important point to me and by putting him as alien but knowable we encourage them to learn the reasons he might have done so. That's open ended enough for me to be interested.

But I'm not saying that Benevolent is bad, so if I some how insulted you because you read me as subtly dising it or something I... apologize? Not my intent at all really.
The shamans were certain it was to benefit us in the end, as it helped them know the world better and gave them the revelation that metal was awesome. The important part wasn't that they weren't sure, because they weren't, but that they knew that despite all the trials and tribulations, it was ultimately a good thing. If we lock out Benevolence, our people will not be as willing to go with our - the players' - foresight and wisdom. In practical terms, it means less stability loss when we try to do something like get iron or reform taxes.

Can I just say that we need stability, we are at -1 in the middle of a drought! We can't be creating a new March when we need tommake sure our society doesn't collapse on us!

On a side note, I'm still mildly annoyed at how we didn't go for the large immigrant wave last time.
We get very little of value out of large immigrant waves. Iron Blooded simply means the econ isn't worth as much compared to the stability lost - and the loss of Grand Sacrifice makes that even worse.

So, no, I can't say I regret not taking large immigrant waves now or in the future.

Especially since the thread wants the library right after this. We're on the cusp of being able to ensure that Mathulmyn is remembered accurately, and by doing so- prevent his transformation into King of Gods.
By taking the action which would put him in the place most strongly associated with King of the Gods by everyone else?
@Academia Nut if we go with the God Of Kings, will we be able to ensure the temple's depiction heavily emphasizes the advisorial role and the prevention of foolishness? The People already seem to be aware of the distinction between God of Kings and King of Gods and the possibility that it might blur.
Uh...remember we're doing this mainly with art. How do you depict the difference between "advises them what to do" and "announcing what they should do" in art? People talking to each other can be read both ways...

Mainly because I like the idea of painting Crow on the ceiling - separate but above them all.
But the main deity that people should worship is Mathulmyn. There should be continued pressure for kings to rule well and be competent.
Also, "where they're made may get them studying the wood that the boats are made out of.
Lastly, the March means less mouths to feed and we are already at -1 Stability. I don't want another hit.

Either one is possible, but the shamans will want to emphasize advisor role in their current artistic language.

"but where they are made" means where they're crafted. I'm 99% sure we don't cut down trees and then immediately carve them into boats right then and there.

If the option was for the material the boats are made from, then it would've said "what they're made of".

Yeah it's time to throw old crow a bone, no one wants to be remembered as asshole forever.

Stability damaged by drought while the nomads and lowlanders are in worse position. Need more haapy thoughts, benevolent crow may make our people more positive with their outlook. Hope and imagination are very powerful afterall.

He is explicitly stated to be a demon. I dislike the revisionist history that cemented his legend. This man was a blight upon our people.

Guys, we should be picking a god to pray to. The update said that Crow isn't the god we should pray to.
What? How did you get that from this update? All the gods listed are ones we already pray to, this is just a way to determine which should be given the center placement in the temple.

As in if we do choose them as the center figure, the shamans will emphasize the advisor role, or as in if we don't, then the shamans will, but we don't know what the shamans will emphasize with them as the centerpiece?
