I mentioned it a bit in my vote post - I just think out Art stat should be higher. It's at 4 while our others are at 7 or 8. And I'm curious.
I actually want to main art patronage once we get copper mine done, since the increase to copper tools should mean we can get better woodworking techniques from patronizing art, and ergo better boats.

Ok, this is why I don't take stability guys seriously. High stability is for so we can spend it on things like kicking megaprojects or LoO triggers, NOT for hoarding at all costs.

It's also for dealing with messy and difficult social adjustment such as the taxation crisis, which we spent like a century on.

No, it actually isn't.

It is to have some buffer like the tax crisis we found oiúrselves in.
Had we come into it with, say, two stability, it would have played out very differently.

No, high stability is a buffer so when we do take hits, we don't have to deal with additional problems.

Stability isn't a wallet, it's insurance.

Yes, I agree with tryrar, as a person who is presently interested in getting higher Stability.

Ideally, we are vacillating between 1 and 3 stability, spending on kicking or CA triggers and gaining through restoration or completing megaprojects, with the rare dip to 0 or -1 if we get hit by a CA trigger that's especially important to go big on.

I'm more of the opinion we should only be trying to go over 1 stability if we have a moment of breathing room to do so, but yeah, ideally we'd be ping-ponging between high and not so high stability. Not hoarding it like Scrooge Mcduck

It's rude to vote for someone's plan before they make a plan. It's like saying that no one else's plan is even worth considering.
Veekie has been the most reasonable person here and not given to exaggeration. He's also everywhere, so familiarity is in the works as well.

We have to get to high stability first if we want to ping pong like that.

GG is nice and all, but we couldn't expand our social slots because of it. I want to take this chance to remove GG so we can grow ourselves another social slot and trait in the future.

WHICH WE WILL BECAUSE WE ARE AT 1, WILL GET +1 WHEN WE START ONE OF THE TWO MEGAPROJECTS, AND WILL GET BONUS +1 FOR FINISHING EITHER, ENDING AT +2 STABILITY. NOT KICKING SO WE GET +3 IS EXCESSIVE SINCE THIS IS WHAT KICKING IS FOR

So, can we expect the dead priests who delivered the book to be alive (and not senile or anything) next turn? Because it might be a good idea to wait until then to study health if so, since then they might actually have learned the language

Stability 2 is supposed to be a buffer, not a license to spend. I want it there so when we do get stability hits, we have to deal with no additional problems

Hardly ridiculous as we have seen actions accelerate projects before.

You know very well what yellow means.

Again with the hysteria...

And you try to defend your Strawmanning with more strawmanning.

Someone asks you a question, they want you to answer it. Not your next door neighbor.
The only example I can think of is the Blight. Your reason for delaying the kick is just to wait and see if we get an accelerating action (if we don't then we can kick it). The accelerating action (if it exists) would take up our secondaries and lose us our flexibility with outside issues.

If we kick it now, we have a serious chance of finishing it. The extra stability we get from finishing it totally covers the kick.

Who cares about staying at 3 stability? I doubt we'd get any serious benefits, besides being able to tank a crisis better. We have no foretasted LoO trigger or anything that would cost stability, so it's pretty much just your personal preference for staying at 3 stability.

Turns are decades. They'll have over a dozen years to learn our language while we're studying their tablets. That's more than enough time.

On the bright side, our newly evolved trait means we should have a better chance to avoid stability hits from immigration, especially if we keep Greater Good. And we're sitting at 1 stability now rather than 0 either because of a trait or because the action to share our knowledge rolled really well, which means starting the project will bring us to 2, kicking will just bring us back to 1.

As stated, finishing either Saltern or Garden should put us at 2, which is why I favor finishing Garden first. I suspect it will also open up an impressive internal benefit like extra Economy slots and even MORE disease resistance, whereas much of the benefit of the Saltern is salt as a trade good providing bonuses to trade missions.
