I mean, unless the DC inflates due to Belos arriving, the Huntsclan infiltration DC is below 100 and still very important if setting up an information network is allowed under the Inator.

This in Grindlock all the villains from before the quest start won, somewhat, there's no indication that Belos will also win along side with Andreas since the events of these series are just starting.

I mean the Three Cabaleros are still a thing and there's no indication they are losing.

I am more worried with the MCP acquiring the Cube from Artemis Fowl since that thing will be a game changing for the AI and a apocalypse for everybody else since Master's goal is to control all the electronics of Earth and rule as a god, that device is a critical component to it's plans.

Russ call DEI OS a security hazard so he uses from ENCOM that's much more secure, by that opinion alone the US government is also unaware of the hidden threat slowing worming it's way in critical systems everywhere. Since the DEI and Olympya use DaedalOS it's possible only these two corporations that the MCP is not privy to level 3 secrets.

I want to take full advantage of Rizzo's effect, working on grinding rep so we can get a monopoly and still be able to work with the government while paying the reputational cost for it. Get lower DCs for government contracts, get looped in on the Negaduck investigation, help out with planetary and dimensional defense.

There are very good arguments, both narrative and mechanical, to go with either of the agents. But what tips the scale for me is my abiding hatred of heroes who just randomly don't do their job for a turn. Having that on our floating action is doubly annoying.

Let the man have his agency back.

That was awesome!
It must feel like it too. The explosion lifts Horvath bodily into the air, wards fizzing away under the overwhelming magical burst. In both a second and an eternity he soars before gravity sends him slamming directly into the electronic organ, cracking the instrument in half and sending Horvath tumbling to the ground in a shower of sparks and broken plywood.
Would have been too nice to shock him into losing his magical touch, huh?

Still, its great!
And Russ, i am sure the good doctor wouldn't say anything writing the rented car off as corporate expenses! :V

Really enjoyed the entire quest, very well written. By the way, my wife is currently shipping Russ and Kitsune pretty hard, says they would make an adorable and fun couple. I think it's a recipe for one or both of them going slowly mad, but it would be a fun read either way :D

Okay, now that I'm done celebrating my birthday (I'm literally feeling 22, baby, whoop-whoooop!), let's check back in with the thread. Lord, Russ is going to get psychically scarred, isn't he-?

HOLY FUCKING SHIT

That... that went so much better than anything I had pictured, I just... wow. Awesome ending, really loved the double cross coupled with the fireworks. Just... top tier, baby. Top tier.

Now that we have an outreach option to the Merlinians, we should be set for magical allies (except for Star). Also, I wanna keep outreach to the more sensible Morganians (ie the Redcoat & Co.) in our back pocket just in case. Suck it, Horvath! You are now without help!

On the subject of who should hand over the Declaration, well...

[X] Send Russ

Yeah. Not only will this give Russ more narrative outreach and maybe prepare him for the Dream Queen, but it also is what the Feds expect. Why is that a good thing? Well, I'll let my favorite Nazi (really the only one I like) explain:

Yeah. Being predictable means we control what the Feds think they know about us. Gives us more leeway when doing unpredictable BS and makes the ensuing hair-tearing all the more satisfying. While I would like increased government opinion and a freer Monogram, neither is necessary. We've operated this long with the government giving us dirty looks and Monogram's trait isn't that much of a derailer. We can manage.

Sadly, I think Russ only has room for one lady in his life...LIBERTY.
