Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

Who will be the Head of Dreamworks?:
Just to clarify, the ones not chosen as Head of Animators or Directors will still work for us, right?

Because if so, I'll go with John Musker and Ron Clements as Head of Animation and Don Bluth as DIrector. Nothing against him, but at some point we are moving into 3D animation and we really don't need that Malus.

Edit: Yoshiyuki Tomino for Head of Animation is better. But we're making John Musker and Ron Clements Directors. We need their ideas and styles.

[X]John Musker and Ron Clements
[X]Yoshiyuki Tomino
GIMMEE DAT GUNDAM.

Also, finally allowing Musker and Clements to do Treasure Planet Justice? Count me in. Bluth has me scared because if we want to grow, we NEED to develop and be at the forefront of 3D. Katzenburg, well, has issues.

I have no real preferences on the third, but push come to shove, let's play nice with Toho.

[X]Katsuhiro Otomo

I'd rather keep 2D around, if the style fits the show or movie, it should be used imo.

[X] Plan: Keep 2D Alive
-[X] Don Bluth: Another Disney Alumni, who left because he did not like where Disney was going vision-wise. He's an old master, even at his young age, and one of the few animators who are bringing their own team with them to join up. To make things very clear, he's very into the usual traditional Western Animation… And dislikes possible new forms. (Brings another 20 animators, as well as gives a +50 quality to all Western Animation films. But suffers a -50 to all 3d animation films as he despites it)
-[X] Katsuhiro Otomo
-[X] Shōji Kawamori
-[X] John Musker and Ron Clements

I know Bluth's gonna fight George Lucas every step of the way as soon as he gets hooked on CGI, but honestly I'm fine with that if it means 2D animation doesn't die in this timeline.

By the way, would I get thread-banned if I come up with a 70's version of Harold and Kumar? We could get Cheech and Chong for it.

[X] Plan Best of Both Worlds
-[X]Yoshiyuki Tomino: An Animator from a company called Sunrise, who came to the United States as a Hired Animator, effectually called a Hired Gun by anyone in the Animation industry. He's meticulous and has a wonderful work ethic. There is also the fact he is a very, very big fan of star wars, and has been seen bowing at George whenever he's in the office for interviews. He also comes with some sort of toy that Sunrise wanted him to make a show about, and show off to George, and see if said toy would breach the western Market, with the right backing. He also said he wanted to do something cool with it… calling it Star Wars with Robots. (Automatically get the rights to Gundam. Enter Alliance with Japanese Animation company Sunrise. All TV show rolls get a +40 to their rolls. Script quality of all animation get increased by +40.)
-[X]John Musker and Ron Clements
-[X]Don Bluth
-[X]Noboru Ishiguro

Alright, I'm going with Yoshiyuki Tomino as the Head animator because of two things: the Bonus he brings and Gundam. Not to mention he does have the respect needed for Star Wars and is a connection we can use for further animators from Japan if we need to expand further.

John Musker and Ron Clements because of course we're getting the ones who did the best movies of the Disney Renaissance on our side. Don Bluth because he deserves to have his stories and movies told, and Shoji Kawamori because of personal bias; Super Spacefortress Macross introduced me to Anime, and I still hold it as a masterpiece.

Edit: I'm sorry to say no to Jeffrey Katzenberg. For all that i bust his balls I have to admit the man is brilliant when he puts his mind into it, and the fact that Dreamworks became an actual competitor to Disney in OTL is proof of that. At the same time the Malus he brings is not conductive to a proper work environment, and is not something that Bruce would condone either. We're her to make a better Animation Studio than Disney, not to bring the problems that caused what it has become here.

Having said that, if there was any way we could keep him without taking away from any of the other selected options then I would be all for it, but since there isn' then I stand firm with my selected options.

However, @Magoose , would selecting Noboru Ishiguro allowed us to keep Shoji Kawamori or vice versa? Both seem to have collaborated in the Macross franchise (even if Kawamori was the one who created it).

[X] Plan: Combo Time
-[X] Head of Dreamworks
--[X]John Musker and Ron Clements: (Staff working for them will not suffer any roll maluses. Animated Films of all types will not suffer any roll maluses)
-[X] Directors
--[X]Jeffrey Katzenberg (For every successful film Jeff has that makes a profit, gain a +100 to all rolls. However, for every failure, he will roll if he has a breakdown, and if he takes it out on his staff, giving them a -50 to every roll)
--[X]Don Bluth: (Brings another 20 animators, as well as gives a +50 quality to all Western Animation films. But suffers a -50 to all 3d animation films as he despites it)
--[X]Yoshiyuki Tomino

And like that our head of animation cleans up all those potential maluses, really nice combo there.

Ngl you could probably switch out the last director, I just like having more styles available. Styles for the style throne!

[X] Plan: Mecha Combo

we NEED to develop and be at the forefront of 3D.

Hmm..

We should take into consideration that while both are Art Forms..they have different processes to create a film.

However, if we somehow create Spiderverse-like Animation (2d mixed with 3d), we could basically create a more unified and appeasing animation style.

However, we do not have the tech for 3d Animation yet.

Again, to those who are fixating on 3D, we don't have the tech for 3D animation anytime soon just yet, and once we do, we can simply have Pixar be our 3D animation studio which would have its own studio head.
