Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

Magoose Dice Unlimited

Some various things we could eventually expand into that aren't listed are: Comics, Merchandising, Land(the Parks, baby!), and Toys. If anyone else has any ideas, then please throw them around!
Merchendising is something you are going to have to write in, because I didn't know how to justify it.

Star Wars hasn't happened yet.
Hot damn, this is most certainly bigger than I was expecting as I had only thought we were going to make a distribution company, but I guess having a nat 100 really does wonders and this will be our best avenue to being independent and making great art without the rampant toxic Capitalism in tinsel town corrupting the process too much.
We're going to still need to enact ruthless Capitalism to pay the bills for everything. Well or make high quality products

But we are not evil, corrupt, and stupid at least :V
GI Joe: A serious portrayal of the effects of military operations on specialist in a war they cannot speck of to the public. While exploring the human tales of those who serve.

Also GI Joe: Ninjas are Jedi, Snake Eyes is the coolest cat on base, and the Pits off duty shanangins are so accurate to what bored service men do it's uncanny and reads like a Monty Python's skit.
Its so accurate that Snake Eyes is the main protagonist because he's the coolest.
A Case for Advertisement:
I would thread mark this, but know that I love this.
What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul?
WE just don't lose our soul, because the power that we fight are far worse then us :V
Does Marketing Division also include product placement?
No. Thats what the write ins are for.

... I like 4 of them.

You know which one I hate.:V

  1. Bellaphi Studios
  2. Morrinight Pictures
They sound cool enough, and they mean:

  1. Short of "Bellafianna" or Bellator and Fianna, a mish mash of Latin and Irish that mean roughly Warriors/Fighters. A cool way to say a studio of fighters, Bellaphi Studios
  2. A play of on Morrigan, and Night, and it sound cool as it also sound a bit like "Morning and Night Pictures", I like the way it sound Morrinight

[X] Plan Pathetic King
-[X]Lucasfilm Unlimited (George's Idea, and considering it was the existing company… wouldn't take much to rebrand)
-[X]A New Distribution Company: Whatever this place was, it was going to try and shake up Hollywood, by doing one thing that hasn't happened, successfully, in decades. Distribute their own movies. And that was something that everyone in Hollywood laughs at because they had no money, no talent, and nothing to help them start it. (Begins a Distribution division of the company, in charge of making sure the films are distributed across the country, and the world. To start one would require an intense investment in resources, but it would also see actors and crew getting more cut of the profits, and if successful, also controlling several different assets that would either be sold off or forgotten about. Will Also show you the quality of the film itself before release.)
-[X]Special Effects Company: George, has been having an idea for a while. Something was ahead of its time, and something he noticed a lot. Where were the special effects? Where were the illusions that made the film so popular, look shooting a bullet at the moon made of cheese, or the illusionary start of trying to create something that is impossible? Most special effects companies in Hollywood wouldn't have the funds or the means to try what he wants to do… So, he wants to make his own. (George wants to create a special effects company/ Division, he calls it Industrial Lights and Magic. Add the VFX, and Special Effects Rolls to all productions under this banner, and gain a +20 to all their rolls.) (George really wants this)
-[X]Animation Department: George does not understand your love for cartoons. Though he does see them as legitimate and cool, he also has only seen the ones made by Hanna Barbara. And he really hasn't like them that much. What he should see, is the old classics that changed the world. (Begin an animation department and can start bringing in a stable to make some crazy cool animated stuff. Any Animated Film made by this one, once fully staffed... will gain a +20 to all their rolls.)

[X] Plan: A Strong Foundation

I'm completely fine if the other plan wins, but after some thinking I think this is the way to go because if we have a damn good start with plenty of blockbusters then we have the human and financial capital to branch out and diversify, including animation.

I'd like to remind everyone that we do not actually currently have very many animated pitches(less than a handful I think), so the Animation Department is not going to see a return on investment yet, whereas the Marketing Department will enhance all of our films and make us more money. Money that we can then put towards expanding into other departments, like animation. I'm going to be finally getting my laptop back from repairs so I'll be able to get started on a couple animated pitches but I still don't think it would be enough to justify getting the Animation Department first thing. Since it will also be Spring Break soon, I'll replay Undertale and see about putting together a coherent pitch for an animated Undertale movie or TV Show. See what needs to be cut, streamlined, consolidated, and whatever else as well as what could be included that otherwise wouldn't be in it.

You've convinced me, and I think that we can use the songs from OTL Undertale the Musical as they are quite good as well.

The animation department sounds like a sound way of collecting concept artists. Seriously, if the animation work is slow, we can have them assist in a variety of ways, including marketing.

[X] Plan: A Strong Foundation

My anger over TV ads and movie ads may have biased me away from the logical choice.

[X] Plan: A Strong Foundation

I've laid out in detail why marketing is so important for the company at the start.

Make animated movies if you want, but at least know how to sell them first. Especially as it sounds like a lot of you want to try to aim animated movies at teens and adults, which…good luck with that without a good marketing strategy.
