Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

Anyone got a suggestion to be the head of our Marketing Division? Don't want Magoose Dice to roll a Nat 1 that allows Elvis's Manager to return as the head Marketer.

She's the future head of Anime and Animation Merch..

Wait, I wonder if we can outsource Funimation and other companies with out own Anime-based Distribution company..
I think we can do a lot more than just Anime...think about all the Telenovelas, K-Dramas, Hong Kong action cinema, Scandinavian Crime shows, etc. that we can expose to American audiences with a half-decent translation team and voice actors.

If we were to get our own channel, and aim these at our audiences during the day as filler content before our stuff comes on at night [or even just sell it to PBS], I think we could go pretty far building up that as a niche market.

[EDIT: It occurs to me that this would be a decent method to also help build up capital with distributors in foreign markets, thereby cutting down our costs distributing our movies and shows internationally...]

Nah, you're thinking small time. By the time we're done, it'll be all American versions of this content going out. A-Pop Idols will be made reality even if it's the last thing I do, I swear it!
Real talk, Scandinavian crime shows? I wasn't aware that was a big thing.
They're honestly pretty good, most of them on account of either their writing or cinematography, highly recommend The Bridge and The Valhalla Murders. But yeah, they've gotten a lot more popular over the last...15 or so years? Probably before that, but I don't have access to those kinds of Archives.

If I remember right, it's how Mads Mikkelsen got his break as an actor.
Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood would be..interesting if it is played on PBS..
Heh.

So long as the kids aren't awake to watch it, I think that Mr. Rodgers wouldn't mind.

When we eventually expand into television and animation we can look at making Lucasfilm the name for film division and brainstorm ideas for the name of our conglomerate as a whole. I personally like the idea of eventually amassing enough money to buy the name of United Artists from MGM at some point.

And, of course, an inevitable LucasArts video game studio when the video game industry really gets going in the 80's. Though I'm liking the idea of possibly buying Sega from Gulf+Western at some point. Combine that with someone else's idea of buying the rights to Oswald and we can turn Oswald the Lucky Rabbit from Disney's lost character to TTL's Sonic the Hedgehog. Though that is just a whimsical hypothetical. But, to be serious, any company has exclusive rights to every Star Wars game that'll ever be made will have no trouble staying in the console race.

There's something about this game that makes me go off on wild imaginative flights of fancy.

TV Pitch: The Adventures of Bully Maguire: A Marvel Series
Prompt Name: The Adventures of Bully Maguire: A Marvel Series
Genre: Comedy, Marvel, Action, Adventure, Slice of Life, Dancing, and Light Romance (Romance not Prioritised).
Sub-Genre: Parody
Format: Animated TV Series
General Idea: First episode shows how Bully Maguire was created, he was bitten by a radioactive venom spider (this version of venom) and goes through the normal Spiderman Plotline with more aggression than before. However it comes to a certain point in some part of the episode of him having to fight his alter ego, Venom, to have complete control over himself. After a grand battle that takes a lot of the episode, it ends with Peter winning and purifying and fusing Venom's powers.

When he become awake (The battle is based in his mind.), he discovered that MJ cheated on him with Harry and a certain photographer took a picture of his regular suit (red and blue) and somehow turned it dark, thus Jonah J Jameson leads the charge to ruin Spidey's credibility.

Amidst of this..he snapped. Then becomes Bully Maguire.

After Episode One, this entire series follow the adventures of Bully Maguire, how he manages to grow in power in a believable rate while also exploiting/exploring the Marvel Lore of this Version of Universe 616/Raimiverse. (Examples: Bully Maguire's revenge story against them, Deadpool's fear of Bully Maguire, Mr. Ditkovich Plotline, Joe's Pizza Plotline, Bully Maguire vs Avengers, Bully Maguire vs Cyclops, his..relationships with the other heroes, villians, etc. The different powers he learns that he can attain, etc.)

This is the Theme song of the Animated Series:

N/A: Wrote this since people complained we don't have enough animated-related content..I accept the challenge to make more of them :D

Anime Pitch: Is it Wrong to Scream at the Dice?
Prompt Name: Is it Wrong to Scream at the Dice?
Genre: Comedy, Action, Adventure, Slice of Life, Comedy, Philosophy, Reasonable Romance (Light Romance)
Sub-Genre: Isekai
Format: Japanese Anime TV Show
General Idea: After managing to finally get @RealOtto to stop creating Omakes and Prompts, the Magoose Dice took offence at the fact it lost half of its revenue in rolls, and summons his soul to the Grand Council of Dice to discuss his punishment. As he is panicking with fear rapidly growing through his veins, he screams at the Dice Council to bring him back to Earth. Since they are offended by this man's behaviour, they punished him by sending him to a Fantasy-Medieval based world.

Once arriving there, he embarks on an epic quest that will lead to the question of "Stay, or not Stay?".

World Building Lore: The World of Renaikorpia is a medieval fantasy world with the guilds aided by the Monarchs seek to suppress the idea of "barbarian" progress (Such as Industrialisation, Muskets, Gunpowder, etc.). There are the Countries in the world Magoose was spawned in: Sardegna Imperium, Eagle Union, The Williamlands Dukedom, Iron Blood, Sakura Empire, and Dragon Empery. The Sardegna Imperium is led by 'Hadrian Socahtoa Ceasar', Eagle Kingdom is led by 'Queen Enterprise Yorkship', The Williamlands Dukedom is led by 'Duke William', Iron Blood Kaiserreich is led by 'Regent Nero von Bismarck', Sakura Empire is led by 'Empress Nagato Uzio', and Dragon Empery is led by 'Yuan Qi'.

New Addition: Northern States (Led by Ivan 'Magus King' Rasputinov), The Steppic Khanate (Led by C'hges Subutai).

Magic is an important part of the Medieval Culture of this world, The Grand Master of the Magus Association is one Zelrecht von Hombolt, who in this world created and close-guarded the secret of the Philosopher Stone and other Exotic magics that used a strange system (Arcane Arts are much powerful in compensation for their obsoleteness as seen in the Harry Potter Forum Debates on Arcane Magic vs Modern HP magic). The Magus Association is a group of mostly containing Mages belonging to different bloodlines, powers, and wealth. The Magus Association should be viewed with a cautious eye, as there are rumours and evidences of their acts in the name of reaching the Origin of all Magic. (More to be fleshed out later.)

Marriage Customs (Non-Negotiable): Harems (more than 3 people in a relationship) are seen as barbaric and an act of unfaithfulness in the eyes of Nature, Magic, the Divine, Science, etc. and all nations will not hesitate to kill them off in the name of Sacrifices. Love is seen as a great power thing as shared by the Head of Marriage Customs Department Albus Dumbledorius.

Uplift-related Concerns: Will be discused if this option is taken down the line.

The Plot, Characters, Etc. will be discussed if this option is taken down the line.

N/A: We will also work to make sure we do not go into the pitfalls of the Isekai Anime Genre.

Dosen't George have this policy of not letting people write prequel-era stuff before he publishes Phantom Menance?
THat wasn't until the absolute bastard of the Holiday Special. And that is simple because he was recovering from the Odessy of making Star Wars.

Which was not easy.
If that's the case...ensure the Holiday Special isn't a dumpster fire?
Directed by Bruce O'Brian?

What we have experience in directing TV, and if George trusts us enough to make it, that will speak volumes.
Seriously, why does everyone just think he wanted to write that, his previous run had Peter and Mary Jane getting back together for crying out loud.
Because Marvel is run by idiots.

More at 11. :V

Well, All I will say is this... George might choose someone as well.

And it won't be us, considering that we have already done enough for him already.
There's Option A) Ridley Scott, Option B) Don Draper, or Option C) Carrie [Body Pillows].
Carrie would refuse on the simple basis that she has no sales experience, and that she wants to try to sell the body pillows on her own.

Also: I need to roll for that to see how she's doing.

I'm not saying I'm against it...

But know that I will make it hard because Bruce does not have that kind of experience.
David Ogilvy aka The Father of Ads
... If you pay him right, maybe.

All I will say is about video games:

Wait until after the Crash of 83.

Just saying.
Prompt Name: The Adventures of Bully Maguire: A Marvel Series
+5 to SP
Prompt Name: Is it Wrong to Scream at the Dice?
+5 to SP.

Michael Eisner might be our best bet. He apparently becomes Paramount's president in '76 so we might be able to snatch him up before they do.

Translation: Magoose's struggle between giving it a reward due to its Sheer Originality in Lore Crafting (putting things together) and giving it a +5 SP because he is the main character..

We all know which won :D
I should ban you from the thread.

Then I can sleep at night knowing I'm safe from being turned into a mockery.

More then I already make myself :V

But..that would just give me the justification to open/create a new thread that is dedicated to making Prompts and Omakes writers can discuss in without clogging this thread..would also have a list for questers to import the stuff from there into the Quest :D
Okay stay, I don't think SV deserves to suffer for my sins. :V

One idea I had is that, if we can get George to not do the Christmas Special (and by God and all the saints we must!) then we can pitch other ideas that can perhaps be added as movies aside from the trilogy. Stuff like "Rogue I" (though some changes might be necessary to make it more palatable) but also ideas about what the Galaxy far, far away is like. There is so much potential for stories beyond the Jedi, stuff like "Andor" and "The Mandalorian".

Personally, I'd like to see a movie about the First Victory of the Rebel Alliance, like the Crawling screen in Episode IV mentioned. Where did it happen? How did they do it? Was Tarkin involved in some way? We could do so much with the brand so long as we don't fuck it up like Disney seems to be doing now.

THere there...

Disney can't hurt us here.

At least not yet, they don't view us as a threat :V

Just have to makes sure it doesn't suck, since we need it for Jango Fett! :V

What we actually need is not have Ewoks in Ep. 6. They're interesting, I'll give you that, but I think they'd work better for a supplemental story than the main movies...how's about either Wookies or Mandalorians in their stead?

At least not yet, they don't view us as a threat :V
Coincidentally, they've actually said this of Hanna-Barbera in the '70s (methinks)
Disney When Oswald joins the Crew: "This is a Corporate Level Threat!"
I think...I think that we should fight their lobbying on copyright law, so that we can stop them from strangling the public domain.

Think Superman, Batman and Spider-Man would have been Public Domain in 20..18? if they hadn't kept increasing the date of expiratio(?).
Can we merge Dreamworks and Pixar to create Shrek?
Shrek won't exist until 1990, and we'll need Mike Myers to make it as iconic as it is. Hope we can adopt some of the techniques used in Last Wish, since their fight scenes are just so *chef's kiss*.

[EDIT: Ooh, mentioning Pixar, how's about Jim Henson Company, getting their blessing for Toy Story as an adaption?]
