Aww man, this is a really difficult choice.
But if I were to break it down:
Judy/Liv = Low Priority. Judy is someone Mirage considers a friend, so we could always have her reach out as a personal action. Likewise with Liv, we can do a collab, and probably pretty easily now that we've peaked her interest.
To be clear I'm not saying the aforementioned options aren't worth taking, just that we have alternate avenues of approaching them that are easier than the other three (albeit we'd probably need to assign Mirage specifically to that action if we want to get a comparable takeaway).
Now as far as Drakken goes... I'm really tempted. It'd be difficult to specifically reach out to him through Shego, albeit we might be able to do so as a collab. But that would be in the context of a research action, whereas this would just be talking to him. We'd stand to find out a lot more about what the hell's going on with Shego/her territory (unfiltered), and just what the hell has happened that led to their state of affairs (with Drakken being subordinate to Shego, what happened with the Possibles, etc). Plus, he's a lot like the Doc and is - specifically - fascinating to Mirage. Not to mention I just feel bad cause his social skills aren't great and I can just imagine him sitting sadly at the table on his lonesome too awkward to speak to anyone/start a conversation. And, assuming the people we don't talk to will chat with others... I'm a tad bit worried Judge Doom might approach him. And there's also that bit about the exclusion zone that was glossed over while Mirage was (apparently) thinking (bit sad that she's used to zoning out the mad scientest rambling). Feel like that could be important.
Edna... I'm not gonna lie, I might be a bit biased cause I love her as a character. But I think she might be the one option that we really want to take, and for any number of reasons:
- Learn/glean hints about what happened to Mr. Incredible's kids - closure for Mirage
- Edna's employment situation - any possibility of direct collaberation? Any chance we might pilfer her? We've got Roddy to make the lairs, would be huge if we had Edna to work as a designer. Not to mention that iirc she created the material that was used in the Incredibles' super suits. Plus, she's great.
This is gonna get too long if I keep going, but I think this option is really important for Mirage. Even if, say, Mirage fails her intrigue checks if the subject of Mr. Incredible comes up, if Edna saw that she was genuinely remorseful and possibly forgave her that would be huge. And even if she doesn't forgive, but at least understands that Mirage regrets what she did I'd call that a win (despite Edna being a really passionate person, I can't see her reacting to Mirage with outright hate if she's remorseful).
That might be a bit of a long shot, though. But even if we were to suppose that the conversation just steered to an obvious topic aka the SRA appeal and Kronos/Olympia, that could be a big benefit if we tip off Edna to something being wrong with the whole thing (though she seems to already suspect). So even if Mirage flubs her intrigue checks, while it might not necessarily be a good thing for us, it might be a good thing in general if it attracts Edna's (and possibly Shego's) attention to it.
Anyway, enough about Edna, let's talk about the real question here: do we talk to Judge Doom? Now, what this is probably really asking is what do we want to do about him. We've been in a kinda cold war/hate rivalry for a while now, but as a collective we've failed to actually focus on doing anything about him/make a concerted effort to take him down for a while now. I mean we did do the whole thing with Bonkers and the Twilight Zone/Tower of Terror, but we haven't really made a concerted effort beyond that/just been sitting on the actions that would help us take down Doom. So do we want to take the effort to actually do so? Or do we just want to live and let be to focus on other things? Regardless of what we choose we can't tackle all the injustices in the setting. So I think this a question of whether we really want to commit to taking him down, or make an uneasy peace and stop making moves against each other.
Talking to him presents an opportunity to begin deescalating and a cease of hostilites, if we're so inclined. Probably helped along by Mirage being the one to first cross that bridge and not Dr. Doof who probably irritates Judge Doom's anti-toon sensibilities with his wackiness.
Of course, we could also always go for the ol' double-cross. Approach Doom like we want to make peace in order to disarm him, then go all in next turn for the takedown/kill.
Anyhow, those are my thoughts. But unless we collectively agree on what to do about Doom, I'm currently strongly leaning towards:
[X] Dr. Drakken (Medium Diplomacy Check)
[X] Edna Mode (Hard Diplomacy check)
As for conversation topics, I'll have to think about it - already spent quite a while on this.
