Consider that Alan has other reasons for not wanting to mess with the tech that he's not telling us.

Edit: Actually let's swap over Ludivine. I really want to guaruntee the crit on extradimensional tech normbots aren't THAT important comparitively

Considering that the action consists of overseeing Normbots while they practice fighting before putting them out.

Like what MacGucket or whatever his name was suggested.

It's not that he doesn't want us to have the research, it's that he doesn't want to DO the research. I think it's likely he has some personal moral reservations about it for reasons we don't know (Well, reasons Doof doesn't know...If I had to guess, it's related to the whole "programs are sapient beings" thiing.)

All of these sound like good actions to potentially be picked.

It absolutely would have been a jerk move, yeah, since Alan's loyalty bonus is not actively negative.

I'd have preferred being able to swap both the hero and the action to put Janus Lee on exotic vehicles, but I'll take getting this over with.
