Or if any hostiles get to the Tempest Queen before we do. The U.S. government has an obligation to go to war if the Tempest goes on the offensive that we just don't.

[X] Devote 2 Stewardship actions of moderate difficulty to repairing the damage

If you start a country in the middle of another country without the consent of the latter, who do you trade with without water access and (as near as I can tell) a regular amount of commercial planes for a moderately large city?

I'm not being sarcastic. You could come up with some novel sollutions to those problems if you thought outside the box, but I'd call that a major issue to overcome if you seriously tried annex the Mormon states. Never mind the fact you would be surrounded by an enemy on all sides.
Ok, let's do a deep dive on this.

What is the fundamental requirement for a country? Ultimatly, for your will to be paramount in a given area. To be able to decide upon and enforce laws. Everything else either comes from this or is in service of this.
(It does not matter whether the 'you' is an individual, a group or an entire population. That is just organisational detail.)

So to be a viable country you need either the economic capability to maintain a military or the political capability to secure the aid of foreign militaries. The second is hilariously beyond us. The first requires three things:
1) Infrastructure
2) A work force
3) Material resources

Infrastructure… doesn't seem to be an issue for Doof. He manages to put together giant machines every day with no help. To say nothing of the shenanigan P&F get up to and all the industrial might of the Tri-State area, whatever that is.

Work force. We have NORM bots. They might not be the brightest bulbs but they are more than capable of fulfilling any manpower needs we might have.

Material resources is the big one, and the thing that prompts the idea that trade is essential. Few countries have all the raw resources they need. None have all the raw resources they want. So they need to trade for the rest. And it is often cheaper and easier to transport refined or finished goods rather than raw material, making trade advantageous even when not critical.
However! That is based on the presumption of a closed system, a single planet already fully settled. While this is our current situations, we are very close to two different opt-outs.

1) Space
We are only a few actions from having a viable space program. This would give us access to the asteroid belt and all the raw material we could want. (Well, most. Plants and such would remain beyond reach.) Although this would put us on GalFed's radar and there are other factions going for the same thing so we would potentially face competition.

On a side note, sufficiently efficient space-craft would also allow us to trade with anyone we like outside the US.

2) Other dimensions
If we can gain access to an earth-like uninhabited (or being callus, inhabited only be people too primitive to stop Doof walking in with a robot army and conquering it) world then we essentially have an entire world of resources free for the taking. With NORM bots and AI administrators we can ramp our econ exponentially if there is no one to contest us.

So in answer to the question of who we would trade with if we annoy the US? Ourselves.

[X]Devote 1 Stewardship Action and 4 Income

We haven't yet seen the Rival Reports for this turn. If a moneymaking opportunity happens to open up, I want to have an open Stewardship slot that doesn't depend on Karl to exploit it.

You know what we should do? Put Coyote on his "Set up traps" personal, unless we're using him for His White Roadrunner this turn. Traps would have helped fight back against the cat invasion.

Wiley hunting down Kat continues his character arc of wanting to find a way to make him "be worth rooting for" Plus he's made to hunt down nemeses.

Perhaps we should have Wile E doing the nemesis action while NOWCA does the intrigue actions related to the cat mafia (who are ambitious and have a superpowered army) to prevent them from setting up organized crime in Doofania again.

"Well yes of course I am aware that they run off comedy. It is a cartoon company, after all. That's exactly the issue. For some ineffable reason, it is apparently deeply humorous for me to succeed."

"MEEP MEEP!"

"I… I suppose I've never thought of it that way. Could I really just change in such a drastic fashion? 'Be worth rooting for'? I did always have a sizable following hoping for me to catch you old friend… imagine how much sooner I might have devoured you if I had simply played for further sympathy. Hmm. This bears investigation…"

That was a weird conversation. You guess Toons really do run off the narrative. You almost want to keep listening in, but Russ seems to have finished evading that massive Toon Rottweiler and is rapidly leaving your field of vision.

So if people see Khan as a "cape committed to a theme", does that mean that Khan saving Doofania has raised the public perception of capes and himself?

What if we collab with Olympia to sponsor Khan as a cape?

He has the experience and wisdom to match up to the incredible standards of being a superhero.

That´s actually a minor reason why I wanted us to A) take both Khan and Jumba on the Crisis and B) have them do as much "cape stuff" during the Crisis - to passively generate more goodwill towards Capes even without actively clooabing with Olympia (whom we still don´t really trust on the subject of Evelyns support against the SRA.

The cover story for both Khan is that they are eccentric capes with weird themes, so the opportunity was too good to pass up - I just kinda forgot to extrapolate on it...sry

QM, just to note, the one stewardship action and 4 funding. It is of a lower difficulty than the two stewardship actions?

[X] Devote 2 Stewardship actions of moderate difficulty to repairing the damage

Geez, that could have gone better. On the other hand, it could have gotten worse, so...
Until we recover from the aftermath of this crisis, there will be no inator activation. We can not risk another fire right now when we are already so busy recovering. Also, we need to start taking Personal Attention more often, because, given our luck, rerolls are pretty much needed to ensure that important actions succeed or do not fail too badly, and even one reroll is valuable.
Dude, that's not how it works. The "Tinker with your inators" personal just gives us an option of what inator to activate. If we didn't do it, the inator roll would happen anyway and would activate immediately. Doing that personal allows us to run damage control if necessary. It's just that we've been having some crappy rolls recently, no thanks to Kat

I think he's suggesting we not use Inators as often at all.
