so going over our characters. ludivene is the one with the best chance of upgrading norm due to her applied disorder trait bringing her to an effective 35/36 martial. no other character can do that due to traits getting in the way. Khan takes a -30 on tech, Wile E is close with higher base martial and acme but not quite as high as ludivene.
Norm prime himself is the only other as high but due to his platapus trait his stat might get halved due to it not being fighting. we shouls ask becouse if it doesn't trigger he has the best chance to do it

problem is it's a martial action. endy from the card has 1 pip in martial so anywhere from 1 to 15 and she is likely to have lower loyalty than ludivene and her robotics trait might not apply to martial

True. Ludivine with XP and Fire Breathing might work. Effective, that would be an extra +20 to her roll.

Also, the question of can Norm upgrade Norm without the trait procing has been asked before. @Made in Heaven said no, he cannot.

as said either it's her or norm himself depending on if his trait procs, also on if we can use the potion this way becouse if we can that would make her better than norm depending on the ACME retrofitted roll

Mechanically, I will agree with that. Narratively, It's pretty hard to comprehend without it looking like an old cartoon episode. Pretty questionable if you ask me.
i mean why wouldn't we want it to look like an old cartoon episode? an easely ditracted toon scientist is upgrading an ACME retrofitted giant robot man who's powersource is a tiny animal running on a wheel.

If we're discussing potential hypothetical plans, how does this one look?

[] Plan: SPAAAAACE
-[] National Actions:
--[] Upgrade Norm Prime (Ludivine von Drake) (37%)
The odds suck, not much we can do about it.

--[] Reach out to leaders of the Zaibatsu (Goofy) (99%)
70% chance of Crit.

--[] Campaign for Flubber (Kitsune) (37%)
-I'd like to try dumping on Hawk as much as possible so Now You See Me procs.

--[] Buy out a rival corporation: WyndComm Enterprises (TECHNOR) (58%)
Important for launching space satellites.

--[] Dinosaur Entertainment (Hego) (69%)
I'd love to put someone with better Stewardship on this, and hopefully we get someone good this turn. The other possiblity is Split/Second, as someone else might snatch that up first, but I think leaning into dinosaur synergy is better?

--[] Conduct corporate espionage: Khan Industries (Agent Russ) (23%)
The other possibilty was Kitsune, but it highly depends on her ability proccing because Shere Khan is Asia-based.
We are capable of edging Khan entirely out of the energy market, we can't allow him to get Cold Fusion instead of us. We can either steal or sabotage his research. Hopefully, Russ will find that Shere Khan has been dabbling in the Occult so we can send Kitsune after him next turn, too.

--[] Investigate the Middleton Drug Cartel (Mirage) (37%)
No better options, not really.

--[] Research sublight drives (Dr. Jumba Jookiba) (60%)
--[] Research exotic vehicles (Janus Lee) (84%)
Space! These two options together get us something special, and should help us with making spacecraft. As Wile E. Coyote is helping, the crit chance of the latter went up to 18%.

--[] Study Dance Magic (Janna Ordonia) (15%)
'DC is heavily impacted by how well the hero unit can dance.' I have no idea how well Janna or Kitsune can dance, but assuming they're equally good dancers, Janna has better odds unless we're willing to give Feldrake to Kitsune. I know I'm not. Do we have any good dancers with a nice Occult score?

--[] Begin the Doofenshmirtz Evil Space Program (L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.) (+51)
The reason I'm willing to trust these knuckleheads on our Space Program is that with a variable DC, they can only critfail on the lowest DC possible. If the lowest DC is an 80, they only have a 2% chance of critfail.

-[] Personal Actions:
--[] Doof:
---[] Chat with the Bossman: L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.
---[] Chat with the Bossman: Kitsune
---[] Chat with the Bossman: Janna Ordonia
---[] Tinker with your Inators
I assume having 3 +10s over the next bunch of turns is more useful than improving the numbers on one of them?

--[] Wile E. Coyote, Genius (Early Access Dummy: Research exotic vehicles)
--[] Dennis the Duck (Train with your Instructor)
--[] Max (Go to see a Powerline concert)
--[] Vanessa (Job shadow Mirage)
--[] Queen Lizzie (Build backup tunnels)
Helps harden Doofania.
--[] Wendy Wower ()
No actions for Wendy are available yet.

-[] Miscellaneous:
--[] Don't Overclock TECHNOR
--[] Activate an Inator
-[] Item Assignments:
--[] XT9000 Jet Car: Major Francis Monogram
--[] Potion of Fire Breath: Ludivine von Drake
Hopefully this helps with building Norm?

-[] Quests:
--[] One Man's Trash (Martial: 98, Diplomacy: 32, Stewardship: 43, Intrigue: 43, Learning: 28, Occult: 14)
---[] Quest Leader: Genghis Khan
---[] Major Francis Monogram
---[] Norm Prime
The quest line says to send in the troops, these are the troops. Excellent Martial score, reasonable Stewardship, Intrigue, Diplomacy score. Overwhelming force solves lots of problems.

--[ ] Recruit from your rolodex
---[ ] Juniper (Janus Lee)

I don't really get why people want to recruit Juniper. Yeah, she's good at dancing but how much is she going to reduce the DC? A -40 is a very big reduction, however, even that would leave her having to pass a DC80 occult action without having any occult score herself. And if we don't succeed in Dance Magic, then Juniper is pretty much useless to us with her stats. Not to mention that what we get from Dance Magic has to be worth it, for example, let's say we get something extremely good, like a trait that grants +10 Occult score for the hero who succeeds, that is an extremely good reward... for Janna or Kitsune, not for Juniper since it'd only make her a +10 Occult Hero with mediocre stats.

I'd pretty much prefer to recruit Go Go or Momakase than her. At least with those 2, we wouldn't have to be betting 2 or more actions on the rewards of an action that we have only around ~20% chances of success.

As an aside: Magica de Spell is from Italy in the comics. When she starts talking in the next scene, remember its with an Italian accent instead of an Eastern European or English accent.

[ ] Plan: Long Overdue Alterations [PROTOTYPE]
About Reach to Olympia option, it's not like Evelin just tell you all her insidious plans. From previous examples , it is only a way to open collaboration option. We can collaborate on AI but I am not sure if we trust Evelin enough.

Similar problem with Zaibatsu, they are good on genetic research, but they turned Juniper mother in eel and we want to recruit Juniper. Also we hopefully will be able collaborate with Shego on taking down drug cartel, and take over their power granting research. We can collaborate with Shere Khan on fusion, but it seems that thread primarily interested in more exotic power sources. Still if Shere Khan completes his research without our help, he would not be happy with us trying to take energy market with Flubber or Uburnium.

I'd rather collaborate with Khan on fusion and do the other energy as well for increased options. It helps out khan and gets another of the more...reasonable kings in good graces with us and allows us to expand our energy options more without making an enemy.

Honestly, we might want to make a black ops teams. We've got Lizzie, hego, tobe and Khan. Might give us a unit with martial high enough to go for some of those really powerful options.

honestly i would really want to hire some of the people from the dex for black ops. Khan is way to usefull on his own to stick in a group imo.
like i'm eyeing the fujitas and Gogo for our black ops team.

I don't really get why people want to recruit Juniper.
Because she says that she prefers to work with partners, and we hoping that she has trait that let her take actions with other hero. Momakase has good stats but questionable loyalty and has higher chance that she already recruited. Personally my other favorites for recruitment Mezmerella and Gomez .

Might as well go with this trend. Also, since we're not actually voting, I placed my plan like what you'll see here

[] Provisional plan: Untitled

Martial: Upgrade Normbots (Ludivine)
Diplo: Reach out to the Zaibatsu leaders (Wendy or Technor) & Campaign for Flubber (Goofy)
Steward: Split/Second (Mirage) & Comedize supply line (Coyote)
Intrigue: Screw with Doom's offer (Kitsune) & Corporate Espionage: NMEIZ (Tobe)
Learning: Human Genetics (Lee), Large Dinos (Jumba) and Decentralizing Normbots (LOVEMUFFIN)

Misc.: Up for suggestions

I would love to get in contact with a potion seller so that we can get some recipes to plug into our auto brewery but I feel that asking Xanatos what he would recommend would give us a better idea the sort of expectations he has for us and what some of the edges of his overall plan would be. Thus I shall vote:

upgrade norm prime not the basic normbots. that's my beggest thing. giving NP 2 ai upgrades and lasers will make him way more effective

Add this to the list of ways to beat Toffee.

screw it

Doubledouble-Dutch-Inator: what the? This isn't one of your Inators did they get miss labeled? These are just some super double Dutch robots you built years ago! Huh seems like everyone keeps getting tied up by them can't see why you can do this all day. Well they'd make a nice addition to your defenses and some entertainment at least.

increases COMPLETELY EXPECTED By 20 totaling an increased dc Of 40

Doubledouble-Dutch-Inator(bad):oh so that's why they're in storage. I'm not Even sure how these knots are even possible.

Lose a personal action and your dignity as you spend a day or two completely stuck in high strength rope.

I'm pretty sure we can work this into Dance Magic.

About that...

One common speculation is that Juniper may have a trait involving team-ups; go back and reread her job interview for an illustration of why. It's speculated that she may be a relatively unremarkable hero unit with the unique benefit that she can be assigned to an action along with another hero, thus providing them with a boost in the target area.

If so, then even if her own stats are unremarkable, she would be incredibly valuable to us. Think of, say, Hego. He's actually not bad at Martial and Stewardship, and yet most turns we are honestly unsure what to even do with him.* But imagine if he could add his stat, or even half his stat, to the hero who was primary on a given National Action.

Suddenly, Hego would never, never not be in demand again.

*(I advocate putting Hego on the Wasteland quest this coming turn, or very soon. Since it's purely a reconnaissance mission it should be a quest we can implement using second-stringers, and by the standards of our second string, Hego is a real powerhouse in a fight, along with having good Stewardship to help with "roll to not get lost" checks and suchlike. Also, experience with horribly toxic and junky environments, because Bueno Nacho).

Similar problem with Zaibatsu, they are good on genetic research, but they turned Juniper mother in eel and we want to recruit Juniper.
There are multiple zaibatsu; only one of them did that. Also, well... Juniper is optional if we're really trying to prioritize. She's not important enough to build our whole strategy around, the way that the overall anti-Toffee coalition-building (Janna joining us was only the tip of the iceberg) arguably is.

We can collaborate with Shere Khan on fusion, but it seems that thread primarily interested in more exotic power sources. Still if Shere Khan completes his research without our help, he would not be happy with us trying to take energy market with Flubber or Uburnium.
I bet Shere Khan will be able to adapt to accept just about any energy research we do as long as he gets a cut, though if he finishes the entire fusion project before we do something else, he may be a bit put out.

Might as well go with this trend. Also, since we're not actually voting, I placed my plan like what you'll see here

I think we may want to reconsider those Diplomacy actions, but that's going to depend heavily on what happens:

1) During the auction- we may see some significant realignments in the balance of power, or new heroes we very much want to recruit, whereas we can worry about the zaibatsu at our leisure.

2) During our other updates- reaching out to Shego may lead to some significant events that give us strong reasons to act in certain ways. Or new hero units may give us new options. Or That's All, Folks may have some significance regarding events in Los Angeles.

Don't risk Hego while Shego is still around.

I'd recommend putting Exotic Vehicles into Learning, as it probably synergizes with Comedize Supply Lines.

Is there any way we can have Doofenshmirtz do it personally? He's a dancer and has an occult score.
I'd rather collaborate with Khan on fusion and do the other energy as well for increased options. It helps out khan and gets another of the more...reasonable kings in good graces with us and allows us to expand our energy options more without making an enemy.

For one thing, it's an easy DC, easier than many of our other Diplomacy options. For another, I think it's a step towards investing in, then taking over their tech companies.
As for Shere Khan, why ally with him when we can take over his share of the market? We're going to be revolutionizing shipping and energy generation, what benefit do we have from allowing him to keep his crown?

I'd recommend putting Exotic Vehicles into Learning, as it probably synergizes with Comedize Supply Lines.

Eh, seems kinda the opposite to me. Comedize is all about moving without vehicles through the power of comedy. So like, it feels like the equivalent of researching both flubber and fusion. Granted, they have some unique effects, as comedize is better logistic, but exotic vehicles can do more than move stuff, but still a lot of unneeded duplication.
