So, thoughts on the leading plan:
Psychoanalyzing Doof again, especially so relatively soon, seems pretty redundant.

My big problem with the plan is Vanessa. Rather than sending her on a quest, you want her to job shadow Mirage? Mirage, who's working in the shadows to expose a corrupt political official? Why is that something we want her doing?

[X] Plan: Digital Dinosaur
Therapy is an ongoing process, and you could fill entire books with the problems Doof has as a result of his backstory. Mechanically, it's not likely to give us anything, but it's still something I want to do.

The QMs have expressed a preference not to have her on the quest. I'd like the extra 5 occult, all else equal, and Doof spending time with his daughter is a major plus, but they're not enough that I'd want to override their preferences here. Having her on shadowing Mirage is pretty much whatever to me, but the thread seemed to want it over a rave and I had no strong feelings on the matter.

[X] Plan: Doof the Superstar
So I worry a bit that we've been getting bogged down with (important) realpolitik. I structured this plan so we could have a lot of fun while still getting work done. It should make us dramatically more popular. It serves long-term goals like putting a candidate up to run against Doom, reaching out to Drossel, building relations, etc. But it also lets us run speed-racing game shows, alchemy, and Vanessa character development.
-[X] Assault a Rival: Steal a NMEIZ shipping manifest
To kick down the DC of stealing dimensional scissors. If we know when and where the corn is showing up, we can find the best moment to swipe the scissors. (Lizzy)
-[X] Collaborate with Judge Doom
Our SRA actions stole all the momentum from Judge Doom and I don't want to give up that lead. It also seems like a fun option QM is dangling. Plus (TECHNOR!) and Doom are two cartoonishly evil villains, with the fundamental difference that one is sane.
-[X] Reach out to Shego
Reaching out to fellow kings is important, but beyond that, getting her thoughts on the Middleton Drug Ring seems important before we go stomping around. (Norm) Now I know what you're thinking, Norm? He actually has a decent diplomacy and we have an +34 bonus with XP on a DC 40 action. Imagine how hilarious a crit would be. I'd be happy to put the XP up myself.
-[X] SPLIT/SECOND
Another feather in our proverbial entertainment giant cap. (Coyote) has a lot of experience with high-speed chases and he's a prominent toon. I think he'd be perfect for it. Plus there's one of those delicious ???s
-[X] Dino Entertainment
As above, building an entertainment empire. (Mirage) also has a lot of experience with deadly tropical island getaways.
-[X] Expose the Hawk
Doom is likely going to fire Hawk soon as WoG is 'a couple of turns' from when we took that action. If there was ever any question, (Russ) should be on it.
-[X] Spy on Employees
I'm actually less sure about this option, but our intrigue options are very limited. (Tobe) has a good intrigue and getting a jumpstart on Kat seems like a good idea.
-[X] Research exotic vehicles
Flying Mass Transit is sure to be an important part of subverting Doom and it offers another juicy ???. (Janus Lee) himself is well-suited to it. However, I'm amicable to other options, like Human Genetics
-[X] Research GalFed Translation Suite
The next step to being the sole ally of an eon old robot princess in North Dakota. Also (Jumba) can help us give Princess CJ a friend
-[X] Create Magical Defenses
Some stopgap measures to keep Toffee from ruining our day. Kalabar waltzed right into our office, imagine if that as an assassination. We'll put (Kitsune) to use.

Doof
-[X] Quest: Moolah and Magic
-[X] Brew a Potion

Goofy
-[X] Quest: Moolah and Magic
Father-son bonding! Plus if the Dream Queen is interested in Goofy, we might be able to find that out at the auction. If not, he's still our best diplo hero. Since QMs would rather not write Vanessa on a quest without some additional character development, let's send him instead

Genghis Khan
-[X] Find a new steed
Stat boosts are aces. Now that we have trained dinos, a steed is the next logical step

Monogram
-[X] Reform OWCA

Hego
-[X] Quest: Moolah and Magic
I don't have a great explanation for this one. I just want to see Hego on the page more often. I'd be open to changing this one

Dennis
-[X] Train with your Instructor
Everybody Kung Fool tonight! One day, Dennis's martial will surpass all.

Max
-[X] Quest: Moolah and Magic

Vanessa
-[X] Job shadow Mirage

Janna
-[X] Quest: Moolah and Magic

Von Drake
-[X] Instruct your co-workers
--[X] LOVEMUFFIN
Imagine a Mulan-esque training montage, but with the slightly neurotic Von Drake and the much more neurotic thinktank

LOVEMUFFIN
-[X] Study Von Drake's teaching
(I'll try to write a parody if the vote wins)

-[X] Don't Overclock

XT-9000 Jet Car
-[X] Dr. Doof
Is it still a road trip if you don't touch the road?

Ji Talisman
-[X] Tobe
Become weightless. Transcend. Have really quiet foot steps

Amur
-[X] Genghis Khan
The quest happens during the daytime.

That's... a good point. Let's give it to Max, since it's hard to compete with the Spycyle. Unless someone more familiar with Max has a reason that's a bad idea? I definitely want to show up on it, but showing up with it all banged and broken isn't the impression I want to leave. Maybe that's the real argument to bring Vanessa along

He apparently worked as the valet in House of Mouse.

Ah, I didn't know we had explicit QM communication of 'don't send Vanessa'. Very well, then. Did they give any reason for that?

Thanks. Also this isn't urgent, more of a preference. But can you wait on Temujin's new steed until we accessed Large Carnivores? I want this specific dinosaur for Khan. Look into it's discovery and naming section. This dinosaur is directly named after Genghis Khan. Jenghizkhan.

Yeah, that's definitely a concern. I know hero units inform the action, but I'm not entirely clear how in this case; I think Monogram is either the best choice to find Kat or one of the worst choices, and I'm not sure how to tell which.
I'd be inclined to say the latter given that Monogram will most likely rely on OWCA for the investigation which would let Kat know they're looking for him
Who else would even focus on OWCA, though? I see the concern, but I'm not sure who else would even be looking in the right area.
I mean it's not like OWCA is a secret, Mirage or Russ would still investigate them

Yes, they did. See this post and this post.

I don't know if we'll end up taking that action soon, and I really don't want to put it off that long; there is a *lot* of pressure to put Genghis on Martial actions due to his frankly absurd stat, and on quests as well, so I'd like to take advantage of the opportunity to get it done when there isn't as much competition for his time. We have something of a bad habit of putting off actions. If enough people voting for my plan want to hold off, though, I think I'd put him on energy weapons right now and give Lizzy a chance to hang with Janna, or maybe just put him on studying modern tech so we can eliminate that malus.

The idea for this plan is to start working on edging out our rivals in a niche. I'd like to focus on dinosaurs and SPACE.
To be honest, this is more of a plan fragment than a full plan, because I don't have an opinion on much of the other options.

[] Plan: Not Just a Jack of All Trades
Stewardship:
-[] Dinosaur Farming DC 65
-[] Buy out a rival corporation
--[] WyndComm Enterprises - Civilian aeronautics company that constructs and launches satellites for commercial use. Has worked on contracts with government and private space programs in years prior. DC 80
Learning:

[] Research exotic vehicles - Lee Industries are veterans in vehicle design, both civilian and military. Integrating their best and brightest into your R&D department and letting them go wild will allow you to unleash truly inventive machines upon the world! (Reward: Reduced DC to vehicle-related actions like mass transit, unlocks ??? when combined with sublight drives) DC 100
[] Begin the Doofenshmirtz Evil Space Program DC ???, higher DC indicates higher initial success
[] LOVEMUFFIN: Research Flubber Antigravity DC 90

I'm not sure about who to put on what, but the DC for the Flubber Antigravity is low enough that the schlubs at Lovemuffin would have a hard time messing it up. The Sublight Engine has a nice synergy with Exotic Vehicles, but its DC is 140, way too high for me to be happy putting them on it.

No one else is working on Flubber, so that's also a field we can get a good foothold in quickly. Very low DCs.

I have edited my plan to account for some of the critique from earlier. Big things are having adding Russ and Mirage to the auction guest list, having Vanessa reach out to Shego (who is a good fit, as we know she doesn't go after families), and having Major Monogram work on Exposing Hawk.

For those wondering about Spying on Employees, well, we did just pick up Janus (and Kitsune), plus there is the concern about Kat to worry about.

[X] Plan: Foundations of Stone
-[X] National Actions
--[X] Upgrade Normbots to current standard (Ludivine von Drake)
--[X] Recruit from your rolodex: Wendy Wower (Goofy)
--[X] Reach out to Shego (Vanessa)
--[X] Dinosaur Farming (Hego)
--[X] Recruit new employees [Super ACME Unlimited] (Wile E. Coyote, Genius)
--[X] Wing the Hawk: Expose Hawk (Major Monogram)
--[X] Spy on Employees (Tobe and the Vagabond Ninja)
--[X] Research GalFed Translator Suite (Dr. Jumba Jookiba)
--[X] Research Human Genetics (Janus Lee)
--[X] Create Magical Defenses (Kitsune)
--[X] Decentralize Normbots (L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.)
-[X] Personal Actions:
--[X] Doof:
---[X] Quest: Moolah and Magic
---[X] Chat with the Bossman: Russ
--[X] Genghis Khan (Find a new steed)
--[X] Norm Prime (Follow Father around)
--[X] Dennis the Duck (Search for an Instructor)
--[X] TECHNOR (Psychoanalyze: Genghis Khan)
--[X] Queen Lizzy (Work on excavation tech)
-[X] Miscellaneous:
--[X] Don't Overclock TECHNOR
--[X] Activate an Inator
-[X] Item Assignments:
--[X] XT9000 Jet Car: Doof
--[X] Jī Talisman: Doof
-[X] Quests:
--[X] Moolah and Magic
---[X] Quest Leader: Doof
---[X] Janna Ordonia
---[X] Max
---[X] Mirage
---[X] Agent Russ

So, I took a look at Janus Lee's wiki page, and apparently he'a holding back a lot from us. Anyone interested in taking a chat with the Bossman action for Janus, to get him to cough up more of the shinies he's supposed to have?

Edit: oh, and his Gemini trait is insteresting, because Janus is also a two-faced deity. A nice bit of allusion there, while also nodding towards the fact that his name likely indicates his duplicitous nature.

The problem is it's a PR nightmare due to what the Government says happened to Hawaii, and none of our heroes are good enough at diplo to really pass campaigning for it without personal attention. Even Goofy has a 43% chance to pass, and that's with XP. Perhaps if we increase our rep or collaborate with someone on the issue, it might be possible.

...

It would be hilarious to ask Doom to collaborate with us on this, but I'd be too afraid of him stabbing us in the back and simply announcing we plan to work on flubber and watch us crash and burn, rather than help out.

Personally, I'd want to chip away at the various personal actions that can mitigate Artifact of the Past, those being the apartment, studying history and science and technology. I put history in my plan, because I have half a suspicion that science and technology will be easier that way, but that is something of a guess.

Also, since I was the person who originally nominated the Tarbosaurus as Khan's new mount, I would appreciate if we held back on the steed until we have one for him to ride. It'll take a while, but the cool factor is going to be enormous, even if we get no mechanical benefit.

Point of order:

Alonso Hawk originated from The Absent-Minded Professor, the founding Flubber movie. If there's one thing Hawk is actually good at, it's going to be discrediting anything remotely to do with Flubber.

Interestingly, the Flubber Antigravity option doesn't have the PR decrease in its Rewards section. Besides, if we manage to research it before it gets popular, that gives us a leg up on the competition, we'd have a head start.

I'm thinking of Personal Attentioning Campaign for Flubber with Overclocked TECHNOR, it gives us a 59% chance of success.

Now that you mention it, I agree. @Rivenscryr , is finding Kat all there is behind "Spy on Employees?"

Part of my concern is just that nearly all the Intrigue actions are, as I mentioned previously, high-DC actions that are likely to backfire on a critical failure. I'm honestly tempted to choose "none of the above" for one of our Intrigue actions this turn because of that; aside from outing Alonso Hawk, nothing I see on that list seems to be compelling enough to be worth sparing a hero unit for, givne the risk of failure and that all our good Intrigue heroes have something it would be worth doing this turn.

Aside from Kat (and Janus, and the potential worries about other moles in our organization - not you, Agent M!), people have been getting antsy about secrets due to the Zebra's warning in Wile E. Peyote, right?

Did we get something from

Ancient Mongolian documents have been recovered! You might want to let someone take a look at these!
Ancient Mongolian relics recovered! Temujin feels more at home now that he's recovered some treasure from his homeland.

Given that Mongolia is in Asia, Kitsune would roll pretty well on these (4+20+15+(either 2 or 3), for 41 or 42). The magical barrier is more important, and thanks to Goblin Fox she couldn't next turn anyway, and given that they're probably "learning more about supernatural subjects" for Janna, and thus could roll well on them as well (4+22+5+(4 or 5) for 35 or 36), though not as good as Kitsune.

On a similar note, what's good for "inflict[ing] physical, mental, social, or spiritual harm" to someone, hopefully outside Doofania? There's always [ ] Assault a rival on, say, Doom or Toffee, and while Toffee is more beneficial, Doom is almost certainly easier. She'd roll pretty good there if we phrase the assult correctly, it would have to "impair or sabotage other factions/hero units" which is something we wouldn't mind overly, 20+17+10+(1 or 2)=48 or 49, which is quite respectable. However, it would take our one and only martial slot and probably has marginal benefits beyond screwing over rivals. None of the current Diplomacy or Occult actions seem like they'd inflict harm on anyone, but some Intrigue actions might, especially if we're sending Evil Fox on them. My two obvious ones would be Middleton Drug Ring or Corporate Espionage (NMEIZ, say), which while they have relatively high dcs, 110 and 140 respectively, are both arguably impairing other factions, and thus Kitsune rolls 14+20+10+(1 or 2) for 45 or 46 for, which are not exactly comfortable ranges for the DCs but probably options to keep in mind.

Actually, wild thought, if it's still available for next turn (it probably won't be) we should put her on Collaborate with Doom, and purposefully set it up to fail. Thus, it's 18+26+10+(2 or 3) for 66 or 67 on a DC70, an easy win, and we get to send a trickster spirit to "cooperate" with Doom.
