Hire Wendy, do Doppelbodies to increase our AI knowledge, Update AI with Wendy or otherwise follow any AI national or personal actions she opens up, do more therapy with Doof.

AI Research advances a bunch of our goals all at once, so Doof should keep chipping away at his AI ignorance even if we're not focusing on Norm. That way, we won't have to worry about Norm getting shoved to the eternal bottom of the to-do list, which is usually my biggest concern with pushing something off because we'll be better at it later.
No I mean what personal action do you want Doof to do?

Those actions you mentioned I all agreed with too. Doppelbodies is the only thing I am holding back, but I can change the laser into it if you want?

[X] Plan: Long Overdue

Definitely getting off to the right start here, doing a bunch of things that have been put off for too long.

No I mean what personal action do you want Doof to do?
Oh!

No strong feelings tbh, I'd just play politics and Chat with Russ. Alternatively, tinkering with Inators is always a good one, or you could shoot for whimsy and start up on the musical. There's even an argument to fish for a hundo on potion brewing in preparation for the auction.

Anything but the one action I think currently has a negative expected return, really.

The only ones who's actions aren't near guarantee for a success (counting XP buff) are Wile E. Coyote (60.82%), Mirage (47.10%), Jumba (69.82%) and Kitsune (???%). Also, I'm completely willing to change Ludivine's research option. I just really want to see if we can get some good (medical, maybe even magical) benefits from that rare herb we found months ago.

Also I'm not expecting my plan to get picked, haha. This is my first time making one, and I would really appreciate comments.
Feedback on request: This plan seems very solid. The thing that caught my attention first is giving Russ the Talisman; I'm not sure it's optimal, but I definitely see the argument, since there's a lot of funny situations that it enables; if nothing else, he'll never have a problem placing banana peels. The quest comp isn't original but we've talked over all the good ones at this point, so that's no surprise, and it's one of the better ones. The personal actions seem mostly fine as well; I'm worried about norm, given our current AI understanding, but I definitely feel the desire to stop putting it off. I think the only two Misc things I have an issue with are giving the fire potion to Janna, since she rolls occult for combat and can already shoot fire so it doesn't add any cool scenes, and Khan, who I think deserves a steed by this point after everything he's done for us.

As for national actions, I have no issue with Martial, Diplomacy, or learning. They all seem pretty solid. For Stewardship I see your argument; I'd prefer wile on recruiting heroes, but there's no arguing that he's not by far our best option for comedizing our supply line, narratively speaking. However, you don't have an occult action, not even rolling the dice on recruiting someone or making use of the fact that Doof has better dance skills than most of his potential occult heroes. This also ties into intrigue, where we have Kitsune doing a task that Monogram would do equally well, when she's inarguably our best occult hero available; it seems inefficient to add a +1 to winging the Hawk at the cost of just not taking an occult action.

As for presentation, it's legible and easy to understand, so points on that score, but in the future you're probably going to want to explain your reasoning, especially if you're submitting a plan this late in the cycle; you're going to have to convince voters your plan is best, and you can't do that if they don't know why you're arguing in its favor. Overall, it's not my favorite plan in the bunch (besides that obviously being my own, hah), but I wouldn't have any real problem voting for it if it had traction and the other plans I like didn't.

Ok. As for your recommendation between these four, which two should be prioritized?

Doppelganger Bodies
SHV 20905
Galfed Computer
Galfed Translator

I like plan Long Overdue but I'm concerned that Monogram will investigate using OWCA, which would probably make it easier for Kat to stay hidden
Personally I'd be happiest if Candace was the one to reveal Kat for who he truly is.

How long do I have before the vote closes? I think I'd like to make a dinosaurs-and-space plan, something that doubles down on our comparative advantage.

I'm still annoyed that someone else got flying cars before us, that someone else is making progress on cold fusion before us. We've got a thinning field of options that other people haven't already started before us.

Toffee has gotten ahead of us on food. If we want to focus on turning our dinosaurs into meat, we should buy one of the food companies on tap.

Doppelbodies/Translator. I like AI, and I expect the Translator will have more mundane applications.

As I've said, I don't want to actively start a new front in cyberspace, which limits the current us of the SHV, and I'd like to see if we can find Kat by conventional means before we learn all of galactic politics just to get a lead on him.

But I know you have different priorities to me on the cyberspace front, so feel free to disagree. I do think progressing the AI tree is likely to let us build better algorithms to run any computer stuff we do, and I expect Translators to have mundane applications as well, but those aren't particularly direct benefits. (Unless we get the chance to make an omnilingual AI to run our social media platform, but that is too speculative to plan on.)

6-12 hours, based on precedent? You could try pumping something quick out with the Plan-Inator (see Informational threadmark), but it's probably a bit late.

Thank you very much for the feedback @QTesseract! I think I got a little confused when I made the plan haha, not putting an Occult Action because there wasn't any heroes I wanted to put on it. I think I would have done either Magical Defenses or Magical Individuals.

Exactly! Flying + Telekinesis + Tooned In = Fun times everywhere!

Yeah, that makes sense. And I do want to give Khan a steed, but I also kinda want to wait until we get something bigger for him to ride. Because seeing him on a huge dinosaur would be fun!
This also ties into intrigue, where we have Kitsune doing a task that Monogram would do equally well, when she's inarguably our best occult hero available; it seems inefficient to add a +1 to winging the Hawk at the cost of just not taking an occult action.
My issue here is that Monogram's perk only works on villains with 100DC or lower, and exposing Hawk is ???, but more difficult supposedly than the initial 90 DC. Otherwise he's kinda, ah, mediocre. I really don't wanna fail this specific action, and there's no quite kill like overkill.

laughs in College work.

Just noticed btw. To the one making plan Long Overdue. You might want to change the Jet Car ownership to either Russ or Max. Reason? Here.

That's... a good point. Let's give it to Max, since it's hard to compete with the Spycyle. Unless someone more familiar with Max has a reason that's a bad idea? I definitely want to show up on it, but showing up with it all banged and broken isn't the impression I want to leave. Maybe that's the real argument to bring Vanessa along

So, thoughts on the leading plan:
Psychoanalyzing Doof again, especially so relatively soon, seems pretty redundant.

My big problem with the plan is Vanessa. Rather than sending her on a quest, you want her to job shadow Mirage? Mirage, who's working in the shadows to expose a corrupt political official? Why is that something we want her doing?

Would love to see Tobe Speed Dating, but otherwise I can get behind this.
