if the idea of magical girls gaining powers from those involved in their dewitching is true, and honestly the more I think about it the more likely it would seem that to be the truth, although I'm not willing to put all my eggs in that basket, then would girls we help dewitch end up gaining our "true" grief bending?
I mean, that's basically exactly what I'm supposing the "pleb" is here: The clear seed using a portion of our power.
The real question is, if they do indeed gain a portion of our power when we do this... will they be able to pass it on too?
EDIT: For later, once we've actually confirmed what we've seen so far isn't a fluke: If you feed happy thoughts to a seed specifically relating to our wish and the times we were most in tune with it, is the effect stronger? Could you feed it our knowledge on enchanting grief and self-cleansing?
Could one, acting that way, make a grief seed clear itself, in a way that anyone who has experienced these things can teach?
Back in the day, the Shogun would have the various Daimyo of Japan pack up and move to his court every couple years for a bunch of meetings and ceremonies-- not necessarily because the ceremonies themselves were important, but because it got them away from their seats of power and forced them to waste resources, which promoted stability by reducing their ability to revolt against the Shogunate. Toshimichi shuffling Magi between the various groups in Tokyo could be for the same reason: It lowers group cohesion and overall combat effectiveness, ensuring no group gets too powerful that the threat of overwhelming retaliation can't keep them in line.
There's also another, more horrifying thing shuffling girls around could tie into.
If Akane is doing what she does in order to prevent the witchbomb getting out that might have to mean taking a girl and ensuring her friends forget about her after she witches out. Either that or...
It occurs to me that if girls shuffle around a lot, then a girl could well just get lost in that shuffle and have people forget what happened to her. Especially if part of the memory modification makes people not question it.
Yeah, that girl was your close friend once upon a time, but she moved away or maybe you did and you didn't keep in touch and after a while you stopped thinking about her so often.
Happens all the time.
