Incidentally, Yokohama is AIUI the best candidate for the location of Mitakihara itself.
Aaaand that's why I wanted to avoid having to bring real Japanese geography into it by picking the city Magia Record takes place in.
For PMAS, Mitakihara is well north of Tokyo, nearish to Sendai.
Note that in this picture, Brina and Homu are both 10cm taller than Mami and Doka respectively, making for perfect cuddling height, with brings harmonious relations and balance to all things.

Meanwhile, Sayaka and Kyoko are the same height, which is why they but heads.
the degenerates will probably also like holding hands. :V
What's funny is, Sabrina isn't done growing yet. She's going to hit 180cm by the time she's done growing.

*googles*

For those of us using American systems, that's a tad under 5 foot 11. Right now, according to the height chart, Sabrina's about 5 foot 7. So...

*googles more stuff*

Given that most girls stop growing around age 14-15... What's Sabrina's biological age supposed to be? I know we decided to be 15, almost 16 for legal purposes, but I wonder if we actually have the body of a 14 year old or something. Gah, tangent.

Anyway, assuming Sabrina is biologically 15 years old, she's growing be shooting up a fair point in the next few months. Downside: have to buy a new wardrobe (shouldn't be issue, seeing as Brina has Yakuza money, and lives fairly Spartan-ly anyway). Upside: more of us for Mami to hug. Side-side: I wonder how being undead affects growth? I mean, most meguca aren't driving actual corpses, but they put their meatsacks through quite a bit of punishment. On the other hand, Mami and Kyoko have been meguca for years, and seem to be growing fine (for a given definition of "fine").

Basically, Sabrina's last growth spurt (which hits girls at about 15-16) is much, much more intense than normal.

So, something I noticed in the update, and the last few..... why DOESNT Sabrina have a smart phone anyways, if the tech isn't an oddity or anything? The tokyo group we met seemed to find it odd, with its potential nuisance in contacting them, aaaand way more importantly it imposed an extra 20? minutes travel time we could've spent on IRC if we had an IRC app on phone instead of needing to find a computer. Seems like a very worthwhile use of our shiny new meguca-made ID to figure out a prepaid smartphone or something?
Becau-
We got our phone very early in the quest, and Mami was the one to pay for it (since we didn't have the stolen Yakuza money yet). Since we weren't very close with Mami yet, we went for the cheapest model phone they had available, to minimize how much we were imposing on her financially.

Now that we have a citizenship card (and our passport should be arriving soon, @Firnagzen ), we could use our millions of stolen Yakuza yen to get ourselves a proper smartphone, I suppose.
Yes, this. And yep, the passport will be arriving shortly.

Yup!

Anyway, can I get some actual votes going? :V

New reply from Sabrina, it's pretty much what you'd expect:

I'm considering roleplaying a girl who is pretty suspicious of this after seeing girls being burned by Kyubey playing the technical truth card. Who suspects that maybe "be good" is code for "do all these tasks for me that I will justify with a vague good rational, become my vassal but I won't call you my vassal or take responsibility for the fact you are my vassal".

Anyway, can I get some actual votes going? :V

Sir, yes, sir! Spitballing a proto-vote:

[ ] Of course you'll come for dinner. You've been looking forward to a talk, anyway.
-[ ] If Mami doesn't have any other plans, anyway?

[ ] Check your email

[ ] Pull Homumom aside for a timestop-talk
-[ ] Orikio's clairvoyance
--[ ] words
-[ ] Blueberry being smart
--[ ] more words
-[ ] Tokyo politics: advice?
--[ ] More than just shooting everyone involved, anyway.

Feel free to critique, cannibalize, etc.

[x] Tell Hitomi you and Mami would be happy to be there.
-[x] Unless Mami has any other plans?

[x] Talk to Homura in timestop.

[x] Ask for more details about the Kagoshima group. What are they like?
-[x] What's Utsugi Karina's power? Did Homu know that they had a Grief Controller?

[x] Mention Oriko's power shifting to clairvoyance.
-[x] Try to keep her calm. You believe that the shifting focus from the future to the present has a lot to do with Oriko's own priorities shifting - you don't think she'll be a threat to Madoka. And you're still on board with the monitoring, to be on the safe side.

[x] Mention Sayaka's insight into Madoka and Hitomi's skills in the Model UN.
-[x] Madoka has low self esteem, and always wants to help. You were considering asking Madoka and Hitomi to help with Tokyo political analysis, while staying in Mitakihara. It'd be a way for Madoka to contribute without contracting or being at risk.

[x] Mention that Sayaka figured out that Homura cares for Madoka's protection in particular.
-[x] You didn't tell Sayaka anything specific about Homura i, you just told her that you trusted Homura and to not bother Homura about it, which Sayaka accepted.

[x] Exit timestop. Enchantment study session.
-[x] Inform Sayaka (and Hitomi) of Oriko's changing power.
-[x] (If Homura approved): Use grief to create dossiers on everything you noted about Tokyo politics (source from the Day Planner Spreadsheet) except for info on the Witchbomb, and share them with Madoka and Hitomi.

Now the real question is whether Doka will join us in inheriting granddad's height, or if it skipped a generation. :V

While we talk to Homura about Sayaka and secrets, I'm debating whether we should tell Homura that Sayaka outright stated that she considers her a friend, or if that would break Sayaka's confidence in any way.

@Redshirt Army
We're probably going to spend at least one full update in time-stop. Could I convince you to shift to focus more on that? (I'd write it myself, but being sick sucks.)

Ugh, tell me about it, I've come down with the flu myself.

The main thing that I wanted to "lock in" for after the timestop is informing Sayaka about Oriko's changing status, but I think I can fit that into the timestop section too.

V2.0:

[x] Tell Hitomi you and Mami would be happy to be there.
-[x] Unless Mami has any other plans?

[x] Talk to Homura in timestop.

[x] Ask for more details about the Kagoshima group. What are they like?
-[x] What's Utsugi Karina's power? Did Homura know that Kagoshima had a Grief Controller?
--[x] As a tangent, ask about the "Osaka" grief controller. Is she an "issue" you need to deal with?
-[x] Does she have any recommendations on how to get them to cooperate with fighting Walpurgisnacht?

[x] Mention Oriko's power shifting to clairvoyance.
-[x] Try to keep Homura calm.
-[x] You believe that the shifting focus from the future to the present has a lot to do with Oriko's own priorities shifting - you don't think she'll be a threat to Madoka.
-[x] You plan on informing Sayaka and Hitomi once you exit this timestop, and you're still on board with the monitoring, to be on the safe side.

[x] Mention Sayaka's insight into Madoka and Hitomi's skills in the Model UN.
-[x] Madoka has low self esteem, and always wants to help. That's why she's at such high risk of contracting.
-[x] Sayaka suggested having Madoka and Hitomi help with the political analysis in Tokyo, and after mulling it over you think it's a good idea:
--[x] Doing political analysis while staying in Mitakihara would be a way for Madoka to really contribute without being at risk, which you think would decrease her urges to make a contract.
--[x] Plus, given how complicated Tokyo politics is going to be, you'll frankly need all the help you can get.

[x] Mention that Sayaka figured out that Homura cares for Madoka's protection in particular.
-[x] You didn't tell Sayaka anything specific about Homura. You did tell her that you trusted Homura and to not bother Homura about it, which Sayaka accepted.
--[x] Also, Sayaka called Homura a friend, so that's definetly progress.

As I mentioned, I have the flu, so I've been alternating between being awake at 2 AM and being comtose all day. If someone wants to steal the bandwagon I'm all for it. Aura, Veb, Mura, Phoenix?

E: Osaka, not Osaki.

As you wish.

Added a bit to the "Osaka" grief controller since there seems to be a problem of grief controllers going after each other. Might be more definitively answered by the Nyantokanyaru IRC, but seems worthwhile to ask.

[x] Redshirt Army

Too many balls in the air for me to want to risk trying a vote of my own right now. I'd miss something important.

... I'm tempted to send Brina an email that basically amounts to "squee I'm such a big fan!" But I don't know how to do it in character and don't want to go full meta :p... Now that I think of it, how much ooc spam has she gotten by now?

I decided to send Sabrina an email myself.

I find myself rather annoyed at the lack of information regarding whether the email is:
- Run by him/accurate to in-quest Sabrina, but not itself canon to the quest
- Sabrina, yes canon to the quest (at some point in-quest, probably during a timeskip, she will get and respond to these emails
- Some other fan and/or troll with no standing

I decided to send Sabrina an email myself.

After all, what's an inbox without spam?

It probably won't even arrive if that's not the real from address (that is, unless you actually are sending from contractplus@wishingwell.com). The technical specs for emails may not require that the given from-address be the actual address of the sender, but if it doesn't match (or if the source provider is small or "untrusted" for having sent spam or otherwise can't authenticate itself to the recipient's satisfaction), most big providers (Gmail especially) will tend to silently drop it as spam and not even display it as such.
