I fully expect we can't actually learn to do magic (or if we can, it will be difficult and won't get us much ability) because we don't have the knack for Sorcery. But we can learn about magic, so we can maybe reverse-mind-delve those teachings to Jaffur and get a new flavor of magic on Garenhuld.

One thing I forgot, though, in my initial post:

Priority 0: find something to bind ourselves to, so we can't be easily snapped back to our body. Dandeer's highly likely to be trying to get Sensei to do that if possible, and to try anyway if not.

Honestly, my gut instinct here is to just go for Those Above and see what it does. Remember, we're a shade right now-we can basically cheat our way out of situations that would otherwise be untenable. If it leads us to a situation that we Do Not Want, we can bug out and try something new. In spite if this, I am very much opposed to both enemy options. as well as Those Below. Kakara does not not need yet more foes to face.

[ ] Old friends.
[ ] Old family.
[ ] Those above.
[ ] New enemies.

I think these are the ones I'd approval-vote.

If we used ranked-choice voting, they'd be ordered from top to bottom.

'Old friends' and 'old family' are the choices most likely to result in us either:
1) Learning how things went for the Senzus and our friends who hopefully retreated into their warded hideout, OR
2) Finding old allies of the Z fighters who yet live, such as the Namekians or Lapis and Lazuli

Visiting the Senzus might actually be good because Dandelor is a sorceror and may be able to perceive us, which would reassure our friends that we DID, in some meaningful sense, escape Dandeer's spell and CAN come back. The Namekians also have magicians and may be able to see us, that'd be good too.

...

'Those above' is our ancestors, who can hopefully give us a status update and some suggestions about how to usefully become stronger while a bodiless shade, or how to obtain a body. Also, otherworld training. We MIGHT be at full strength in the otherworld, too, seeing as how I think we were the other times we projected there.

...

'New enemies' is most likely to lead us to someone interesting that we need intel on. The most obvious candidate would be the alien fleet, which is aware of us but hasn't really been our enemy yet. If we observe them we might learn something, among other things because they are a diverse collection of many races and presumably have much information on the state of the outside galaxy. If any of them can perceive us, we might want to think about forming an alliance with them. The combined energy of everyone in the alien fleet might be enough to fuel a Spirit Saiyan boost capable of defeating the rest of the royals, for instance. Plus, if we DON'T warn them somehow or divert them, the alien fleet is going to come across a Garenhuld whose defenses are masterminded by Dandeer. Since Dandeer probably won't have yet another massive ritual prepared to disable them, she will probably simply slaughter them all or have the rest of the Exiles do so by proxy.

=====================

Now, I'm not OPPOSED to 'new friends' or 'new family,' I just don't have a clue where they take us.

'Old enemies' risks exposing us to, well, the Enemy, who I'm pretty sure can detect and destroy us. Or to Dandeer, who can detect us and may be able to destroy us if she's prepared.

'Those below' takes us to Hell. I don't want to go to Hell. Hell is a bad place to be. It is proverbially a bad place to be; that is literally its sole reason for existing.

Let's not go to Hell.

That's still more than the max 750 million a regular Super Sayain possesses.

GO'd such an automaton would not be too dangerous, but still its a significant threat.

And Go'd the speed debuff would be nasty.
A full power super saiyan has a power level of 1125 million, not 750 million. Dazarel wasn't stronger in ki than any of us. But between his psychic powerset and his ability to generate nearly unlimited amounts of raw energy AT that relatively moderate power level, he was still a match for us.

Ki isn't the only possible source of strength.

And do you mean Dandeer...she has his body? We kinda kidnapped Darzel.

Also whose in favour of forcing Darzel to divulge his psi knowledge?
We kidnapped Dazarel's mind or spirit or something, but not his body. She still has the body.

For that matter, it's possible that physically separating his mind and body has disrupted the seals on him somehow: that his body is superlatively sealed to turn it into a chibi dragon body, but his mind, with us, has unsealed psychic powers. Or that the reverse is true- most of the seals came with his mind and are limiting his power, but his body would now be easy for Dandeer to un-Seal and enslave as a pet.

EDIT: I mean, the pet dragon body, magically enslaved, would still be a powerful asset for Dandeer. Remember that massive "throw a zillion PL 900 million blasts all at once" attack he used? Imagine that fired at an alien fleet.

Also, dragons may have a mystical nature from which Dandeer could derive some kind of power, even if they're not the kind with Dragonballs.

Of course, Dandeer may struggle to do this. Her magic is very powerful, but remember that it can only ever subtract. She won't necessarily be able to use that to, for example, control a mindless body efficiently.

Dunno about magic, but mastery of the sight seems like a must.

Normal stuff so we can See better and thus have the information advantage over Dandeer unlike last time and didn't we unlock combat precog?

Mastering that seems like a good idea.
If we go to the afterlife maybe we can find Bardock. He's the guy we inherited these powers from in the first place so maybe HE can explain what to do with them. :p

Also, combat precog? No, no we did not do that.

To be fair, I doubt Carrick Balor (I refuse to call him Sensei until he's restored to control of his own mind) has the power to do that to Kakara, but it's a valid concern.

I know that was my point.

Probably the worst person to ask, but maybe he's refined it over the thousands of years of being dead.

No pretty sure we do.

, I burned another on the roll to unlock Novice Combat Precognition, not that Kakara even knows she has it at this point (it fired twice in the update; you can find them).
While I am of course willing to spend cookies according to your discretion, and will bank the last for talking down Dandeer, I did spend the prior cookies according to your instructions -- on critical rolls that needed them. One, as I stated previously, went to unlocking Novice Combat Precognition. The other went to giving Kakara the 10% power boost in the fight with Yammar. Both went to critical rolls that needed them, and one actually went on to impact and swing several. They both were part of my good-faith efforts at giving Kakara the best possible chance at a win. While that didn't pan out, I applied them as agreed, with the best of intentions, and in the most effective manner possible.

There are no wrong choices, remember?

So reading the end again says yet again that there are no wrong options. I'm inclined to agree this time. There's nothing saying old eneimies can't become new friends and I don't think poptart would give trap options here. So my vote is probably gonna have either enemy and or below option in it.

If we assume that Old refers to canon or prior exile and New to those that come afterwards then, considering that the androids are related to us, I would think:

Old Friends: Buu, Jacko if alive, elder Mori (namekians) if alive, people from other universes.

Old Family: Androids or Dead Ancestors

Old enemies: Frieza, people from other universes, people in Hell.

Those above: Gods or ancestors

Those below: Hell or the hell dimension (one is the afterlife, the other Daburah's birthplace)

New Family: Descendants from Tarble (the saiyans Dazz mentioned)

New Enemies: Aliens coming to Garenhuld.

New Friends: Could be anyone. Time Patrol, Galactic Patrol, Namekians, Android followers, etc.

Out of all of these options... Those below is probably the most dangerous.

Those above looks promising since if it is the Kaioshin we might be able to get our power unlocked and we could train with our ancestors or Whiss. Then again, if it is Zenoh... just no.

I am not sure about going to the androids or the space saiyans because if they can't train us into something better, they would take years to reach Garenhuld like the aliens and scouts if we can even convince them to come.

New friends might offer unknown resources so it might be worth it.

ANYWAYS, does anyone else get the impression that Dandeer wanted all FPSS under control to overcharge her spell to make up for her lack of resources and we screwed her not only by leaving her without the loved figurehead that Kakara is but because she was already ploting to have our sealed self use spirit saiyan for it instead?

Mmmm if we wanted to learn time jump then Time Patrol seems like the place to be...that or Hit, but who knows if he's still alive.

He was around 1000 YO in canon so unless he was killed he probably is. That said, I am not sure we can go to another universe as a shade and with tge existence of the afterlife that seems like the hardest part. Heck, them being dead is probably better since those who are not sorcerers or psychics might be able to see us anyways if we meet them in the afterlife.

Also, from what the king of the galaxy said, time jump sounds like an innate skill. I am not sure we could learn it.

Edit: Food for thought. Yammar was pretty sure he would be killed. Those Below might also include him.

Watch us!

But, even if it is then I'm pretty sure that any technique that involves stopping time isn't as scrutinised because it doesn't involve altering the past.

There's probably other things lying around like variations on Guldo's technique that we can copy/steal.

Basically anything that lets us squeeze an extra second of time is kinda OP, but we should get it.

I see through you. I know you just want to become Dio.

I respect that desire and agree with it wholeheartedly.

[X] Those Above

[X] Old Family

[X] Old Friends

Now is REALLY NOT THE TIME, @chryssalideater @thamuzz . We can meet new people and make friends and all that good stuff later, right now, we need to find someone we can trust. Enemies are not people we can trust. New Friends could be acceptable, but I don't trust the Sight enough to give it something that incredibly vague.

In other news, The Missing Saiyans has a shiny new update for any of ye interested.

Maybe...I mean that was before we quite "publicly" made our exit and proclaimed our intent to return, so she may just keep him around cause...ya know another super sayain.

And I'm pretty sure we did the most damage out of anyone in that entire fight...like certainly to her personally due to the Dandeer flail, but emotionally as well as really screwing with her mentally...

Like by all rights she had us dead, but we broke from her chains, managed to get the Senzu to escape and messaged as many people as we could and told em to get under cover...so she may keep him around...cause ya know.

More Super Sayains and we're kind of a nightmare to her.

Like she isn't in a great mental place, but I'm kinda scared of what she may do to inflict retribution on our body and stuff, never mind what she'll do to the poor Garnehuldians.
