This turna from cultural/economic warfare to a shooting war. You only want this to fuck over the colonial powers, because nobody, including the colonies, will thank you.

[] Fan the flames, turn this colonial war into a Syffryn continental war! (1x)

Great War button. Considering how much trade we're doing this will hurt our wallets BAD.
I'm not sure anyone realizes how big a clusterfuck this can boil into, though first strike hurts like a bitch against a colonial power that has 50% of its military quelling rebellious colonies months of sail away.

[] Offer cheap credit to the Sketch and Kielmyr to cause more trouble (1.2x)

Annexation attempts as low nobility discover that they can make money by simply owing Ymaryn money.
Their high nobility would be pissed off as hell

[] Enemies are distracted, take the time to finish unification with the Gylruv (1.2x)

Consolidate our gains while nobody's watching. Risk mitigation.

[] Tortun is distracted, the Gylruv and Styrmyr could bite off eastern provinces! (1x)

Throw a landgrab into the chaos, but would also lead to adding local chaos as reforms and local rebellions blend.

[] Whole lot of angry sailors there, they could make great privateers if hired by the right person (1.2x)

Fuck Everything.
Unleash pirates to put everyone under economic stress and hope for a collapse.

Push abolitionism and the rights of man. However it turns out, it will strain their society and politics due to slavekeeping and colonialism.

Probably won't kill them unless another actor decides to do opportunism.

Just consolidate and pull ahead. They'll blow themselves up in their own good time. The important thing is to make sure that we don't get dragged in and don't end up with a unified major power on our border unless they are on extremely good terms with us.

This seems as if it could easily end with a unified German state in the heart of the continent. That could be very problematic...
could also end with a civil war that has them eaten by neighboring polities.

@Academia Nut just to clarify, what are we doing by sending the angry philosophers at the Not!HRE? Are we just sponsoring people to go talk about these ideas to the lower nobility and peasants? Or are we going to be sponsoring a civil war?

It sounds like we're subsidizing tuition to philosophy courses so all kinds of low nobility and rich commoners get Ideas when they go home with a new set of scientific and admin skills...

Its the sort of chaos that takes a Magna Carta to unfuck.

Greater Ymaryn Empire's economy:
-Buy Spices and other goods from Black Sheep and Khemetri
-Transport to Not!Black Sea and Not!Baltic Sea
-Sell to further buyers as middlemen

-If we get the Not!Brits and Not!Scandinavians to set the oceans on fire, our nation's overland trade routes are going to make shittons of money. Let's fund privateers! Their ships are better than ours, and we don't get diplomatic malus for directly funding pirates this way.

Yes, I get that, but how are we doing so? Are we just going to print a bunch of pamphlets and send some academics and radicals at them? Or are we going to be more subtle and political about it?
We'll be filling their lands with philosophers preaching about social contracts between ruler and subjects. This is very, very bad for the Not!HRE since all their governments are set up on the basis of the Divine Right of Kings, demanding unquestioned obedience from the lower masses. Once the people get it in their heads that all these squabbling princes and kings and bishops don't deserve their authority, the whole thing is going to turn into a massive warzone.

I foresee peasant uprisings against incompetent/cruel rulers, which will eventually turn into republicanism a la French Revolution once class consciousness becomes entrenched.

Whelp our bank lost influence and we may have helped notPrussia gain its finances in order after it won a war and gained some iron/coal mines.

Goal here is to blow up the colonies and ruin the colonial powers so they can't compete with us and this moment empowers the local powers to quickly take control.

Eh, we didn't really lose that much inluence, since our bank pretty quickly realized that it wasn't going to work and backed off. And we learned enough from our failure to be worth it.

And that Tortun Principality that benefited was only a small portion of the country, so I highly doubt it had much real effect on it, especially since our bank was willing to offer the loan in the first place.

If there was a way to directly help the UPM, I'd do it, because they seem pretty cool. Since there's not, I'm not keen to insert ourselves militarily into the ongoing clusterfrag that is the Syffryn mainland. I'd rather toss money at the people starting fires in the places we want them to and consolidate while we have the chance than risk any overt action, because the last thing I want to do is get us dragged into a not!European land war or a colonial naval skirmish.

Let's set fire to the world and see what happens.

Well, they are Not!America, and so it's pretty likely that they'll manage to break off when most of the world is eager to use this rebellion for their own ends. Pretty interesting that they were formed by the dutch rather than the british tho, but it makes a certain historical sense, since the dutch colonized NA before the british in the OTL as well.

Depends but even if it was a small nation the fact that it recovered far quicker than its neighbours gives it a leg up. Also I assume any places mentioned are important.
Why are so many people voting for sending philosophers to Not!Germany? What's the draw here?
For some reason people want to fight a united German Empire in the future and wreck them as superRussia just as we partitioned Poland.
