Seed is a bit chancy, if the daemon uses the time it takes to work to just kill her again.

... I am electing to interpret this as a reassurence that Abel will eventually rise from the grave and return to us even without Mathilde's help, even if it's obviously under less than ideal circumstances.everyone knows that everyone with the honorific van in their name goes bad eventually, just look at Van Hel,

Alkaseltzer shrugged off getting his stomach opened up, I'm not going to bet on a Greater Daemon being less durable.A Daemon that killed us is probably trying to reattach a body part instead of trying to mangle our body.
By knitting the wounded bodyparts together using wood. The seed does not just bring us back from the dead, it also heals wounds.

An undead shrugged off getting a useless organ opened up. Had it been his head, it would have been different I think.

Which makes said bodyparts not very useful or mortal combat while it happens.
Small issue: Greater Daemons are huge. Mathilde probably can't reach ones head even with Branulhune.
Seed can't regrow limbs, I'm not betting on it regrowing heads.I mean, if the daemon decapitates us, it will get decapitated back.
Our seed will heal us, and at this point the daemon is dead unless it has another item to heal it.
I don't wanna jump around dodging living whips and impossibly beautiful talons while knitting needles knit my stomach back together, no matter how small a part it is.Which then begs the question of which body part just got damaged? Was it her right hand, that's bad, was it her liver and parts of her spleen, in that case I think the seed has it.

The demons are unlikely to be a well optimized army assembled for exactly this situation. More likely they are whoever happened to be in the mountain at the time. Meaning a mix of all sorts of demons with different speeds. If they try to move as a group then they go at the speed of the slowest demon. If they all go at full speed then they separate which makes harrassing easier.I'm not sure about harrassing them. Slaaneshi Daemons are all about speed, and they have a few options that can go at much higher speeds than our monstrous cavalry. Seriously, Steeds of Slaanesh make for bonkers fast cavalry and chariots. If anything ground bound can outrun even a dragon in flight, it is those guys. It would be very hard to impossible for our knights to perform hit and fade attacks against a Daemonic army that includes them.
It should also be noted that a Keeper of Secrets, should the enemy have one, can keep up with Steeds of Slaanesh. In tabletop terms they are faster than our Knights monstrous beasts. Should they encounter such a Greater Daemon, they can neither outrun nor outfight it, and most likely will be slaughtered.

Well duh, she's going to be the Dark Lady, the Queen of Air and Darkness to the Fair Lady's Queen of Land and Light.Mathilde has enough rep at this point that if she went to Bretonnia I expect that she would quickly become a new archetype in their stories.
Edit: So long as she had her coin set to protector.
What is the slowest thing in the army of Slaanesh? Because that is how fast an organized group would go. If they are going slow enough already the knights will have no reason to attack. There is no reason they couldn't move as an organised group, then detach a bunch of Seekers / Fiends of Slaanesh (just noticed Fiends of Slaanesh also move at Speed = YES) + their Greater Daemon to catch and slaughter our Knights if we try to harrass them. Now i don't expect them to have too many Seekers considering they were squatting / laying siege to a Dwarfhold, where cavalry wouldn't be particularily useful, but Movement 10 creatures are such a massive part of Slaaneshs lineup that we need to assume there will be a bunch of them anyways.
Using your seed against slaanesh daemon is unadvisable.

Un-barded, anyways- Barding slows them down to M7.
