Fair enough; for some reason I remembered the opposite.

Can I just take a moment to admire the sheer fucking balls on this guy? He knowingly walked into a interview with A Devote Ranaldian Grey Wizard, with one HELL of a reputation, and who knew HE was Ranaldian as well, and he managed to bullshit us well enough that we only had a few minor suspicions, and it took Ranalds personally saying 'this shit is idiotic in the extreme dude' for him to be caught and walk out.One quite convincing card sharp got quite a way into the interview with you having only barely set of a few minor suspicions, until he stopped mid-sentence, listened to the sliver of Ranald's attention that had just turned your way, then apologized and left.
If so, then we should probably get that Polyglot trait. I mean, it would make things easier for a few other things we need anyways, like the Skaven dictionary--I vaguely recall Boney mentioning it would be even better with the trait--and learning Cathayan so we can read the Eshing books we stole, which I'm holding out hope for being super ninja books. Also Tilean for... some reason. I can't remember why people wanted to learn it. And Lizardmen/Nehekaran if we ever go to those regions, or Old Riekspiel so we can more easily converse with the Dragon.
It was one conversation with a high diplomacy character that we had no prior knowledge of. He would have been caught out immediately the moment everybody realized his Ranald was set to liar instead of lucky, which was, presumably, why Ranald gave the game away. Can I just take a moment to admire the sheer fucking balls on this guy? Any other God I would agree, but Mathilde could always feel Ranald, this is nothing new for her.Avatar: You've had close encounters not only with your own God, but with others, and are growing able to recognize and understand divine energies. +1 Piety, +1 Learning, able to sense nearby divine intervention.
nope, its Avater.
edit: also I think Boney did a cleanup and change to the Character sheet.
If we do end up with this library thing, did some of ya'll come to the same conclusion, where we're essentially Ranald's apology to Morr and Verena?
Purging Sylvania, making a big library/future university, really all we need is a big ol thing symbolic of Shallya specifically and we're effectively Ranald's bouquet and chocolates for when he rings the proverbial doorbell.
Its especially funny since we sorta just ended up doing this by accident, almost by...I mean, Mathilde ships it, and is a huge fan of trashy romance novels. She'd probably be entirely on board with this plan.
Well we're friends with the Empress, who is connected to the Shallyans, and we've also helped heal the Karaz Ankor a great deal with reconquering the Karak, as well as showing a Skaven mercy. Since Healing and Mercy are in her wheelhouse, those might count. If we do end up with this library thing, did some of ya'll come to the same conclusion, where we're essentially Ranald's apology to Morr and Verena?

'We were nice to a Skaven once' is certainly odd, but not really on the scale of the other things? Wiping out a college of necromancers is a big deal. War-leading the retaking of more than half of Karak Eight Peaks in about a day is a big deal. Our love of books is certainly highly noticeable already, and, if we build it, the Great Library would be a big deal.Well we're friends with the Empress, who is connected to the Shallyans, and we've also helped heal the Karaz Ankor a great deal with reconquering the Karak, as well as showing a Skaven mercy. They'll say it was always the latter, but it's probably the former; having mugged Mork, our intuition in these matters is literally divine.going back to the lecture, I wonder how the elfs and the damsel reacted.
was it on the 'interesting' side of things or the 'about time they figured it out' side?
you think if we write enough groundbreaking books the elfs will make up a elven pen-name for us so they can pretend that 'elf-Mathy' wrote it first. They'll say it was always the latter, but it's probably the former; having mugged Mork, our intuition in these matters is literally divine.
Eh, fair enough. I suppose we'd have to actually turn Qrech away from the Horned Rat or something equally meaningful, altlhough I still say the societal healing and hope-sparking signifigance of retaking not just a Karak, but the single largest Karak to have fallen and the one which was second only to Karaz-a-Karak itself would probably still fit. If we can double down on that by helping with capturing Karak Drazh as well--not likely, perhaps, but a possibility--it could lead to a full revitalization of the Karaz Ankor, if we're not already well on the way.'We were nice to a Skaven once' is certainly odd, but not really on the scale of the other things? We'd need something a bit more grand.
Being a one-woman vehicle of a divine romance gambit would be the greatest thing ever, I wouldn't even be mad.If we do end up with this library thing, did some of ya'll come to the same conclusion, where we're essentially Ranald's apology to Morr and Verena?

I doubt it was known, as the update mentioned, not letting everyone know about it only benefits the greenskins. As for if our Waaaghbane knowledge is already generally known by the Elves etc, even if we were to assume it was having another perspective on it would still be beneficial for a boost to the equivalent 'library bonus'.
Of course not, it would be the perfect long con, just like Heidi once told us. Also, Mathilde would probably be squeeing inside at the thought of her oldest and best friend finally getting his girl. If he's got any more of that divine energy we helped him steal left to add as icing on the cake, it would be even better.Being a one-woman vehicle of a divine romance gambit would be the greatest thing ever, I wouldn't even be mad.
We could build and patron a teaching nunnery at our estate in Striland? those are supposed to be out of the way so the young nuns can't get into trouble so its not a bad spot for one.
Being Best Woman at a Divine Wedding would be a nice hat to add to our ever-expanding list, no? Maybe that's what the Ar-Ulric wants to talk to us about?Pretty Soon™:
Heidi: "Next thing I know our mutual friend shows up grinning with Shallya on his arm and saying 'you won't believe what Mathilde did'."
Nah. Last Edited says 15th of December.edit: also I think Boney did a cleanup and change to the Character sheet.
