Actually, what is the voting option to collapse the gates anyway? Does Cordoning off both peaks do the job, and deny the incoming Waaggh realistic access to both Peaks, or do we have to garrison the peaks to actually properly seal Yar, Ziflin and Mhonar?
We don't have options to collapse any gates yet. Preparing against Red Fang comes later, right now we're deciding what to do about enemies currently in K8Ps.

[ ] YAR: Attempt to make contact with the dragon.
-[ ] If it gets close enough to talk to, don't go looking for it.
[ ] YAR: Fortify and garrison all entrances to the mountain.
-[ ] Specify who: Karak Izor immigrants
-[ ] Specify leader: Mathilde
[ ] Write in: Secure Karag Mhonar
-[ ] Clan Angrund
[ ] ZIFLIN: Assault the mountain to slay any surviving Skaven.
-[ ] Azul with king Kazador
-[ ]RHYN: Assault the Trolls now.
-[ ] Undumgi (have the Border Prince mercs take over Wyr defenses) and Braganza's Besiegers

This lets us secure 3 Karags with minimum risk and lets things settle a bit. Talking to the Dragon right now while it's still pissed is probably a bad idea, but if it gets close enough to our fortified positions we could try... politely. I know we don't need to assign forces to anything but Yar, but with the mystery thing running around, I'd like the humans to stay away from where it's been detected. It doesn't seem to be hostile to dwarfs and the Trolls seem to have run it out of Mhonar on their way through, but to be safe, lets keep them away from it.

Thoughts?

Edit 1: Changed the BPM with the Undumgi.

Edit 2: Not a plan vote removed the plan format.

Additional issue of negotiating with Dragon, aside from lacking grudge records, is that it is squatting on what dwarfs consider to be their ancestral home.
I am not sure they'll be happy to cede Upper Zilfin to it, even if they aren't going to use it anyway.

As for the few dozen trolls left, use the mercs to soak up casualties if they get close, that is what they are there for.

Frankly... I think that's tomorrow's problem. Today we need to deal with the Skaven and convince the Angry Dragon from turning against us.

@BoneyM wasn't the loot from the Trench going to be in this update ?

You could roll all you want on a loot table fully consisting of corpses and rocks, I suppose.

There is no loot.

OK. In that case do we think we could get a gate collapse team in and out without a major troll fight?

Only way to know is to try. You can't predict in advance whether they'd see them as meals they don't need right now, or rivals trying to take away their delicious food.

@BoneyM Is voting by plan? This feels like something that we'd plan-vote on, but it's not indicated as such.

No, it's not.

maybe if we do not poke dragon it will go back to sleep? :V

I mean, that's what it's been doing all these years, maybe it just wants to go back to sleep.
....
this dragon sounds like such a shut-in, really. Some Skaven were squatting in his basement and he didn't really lift his lizard ass from his hoard to deal with them.

If they have no Grudge against it, it will be hard to convince anyone to give their lives to remove a dragon who will undoubtably inflict a very high number of casualties and perhaps even be unbeatable, to reclaim a Peak they have no inmediate or near-future use for.

We could send the normal mercs to Kvinn-wyn to help shield the artillary and send the undumgi with the besiegers to take care of Rhyn. .
