I have no idea on a good instrument name, so not going to get into that.

But since there are still some years until journey, I'd suggest either stealth-related or inconspicuousness-related magics. Stuff to get her out of a bind and to encourage the mentality of using her Ulgu to position oneself as best as possible and not be in any bad situation in the first place. I remember from the first part of the quest how much stuff like Mindhole helped Mathilde deal with a lot of different situations.

Finishing Sounds looks like a good option too. Doesn't getting all petty spells and stuff like that raise magic?

I wonder how long it will take for our new invention to become a standard issue equipment for some state troop Regiments. At the very least I can see some witch hunters loving them.

One is picked out that is very noticeably off when there's high levels of Winds around, not terribly thrown off by merely mild amounts, and is suitably alarming when all eight tones are altered by the presence of Dhar, making even the jolliest and most familiar songs take on a deeply disquieting aura.
I foresee decadent and bored nobles getting one of these instruments and a chunk of warpstone to provide entertainment at their parties.

Commissioning various regional mining guilds to quarry blocks from a handful of inselbergs in appropriately swamp-like conditions is the easy part. The part that requires your personal touch is explaining to them in a very clear and Wizardly manner that it really had to be from those specific rocks, and substituting seemingly identical granite from somewhere more accessible would actually be extremely detectible and extremely in breach of contract.
Clearly no dwarfs involved in those guilds. Which I suppose makes sense, Dawi are not generally keen on swamp or swamp-adjacent activities.

Trolls are horrid creatures, but everything that makes them a terror in life makes them very useful in death.
If they weren't so individually powerful I would expect some bright-spark to have tried farming them. And come to think of it the Dawi Zar probably do farm them.

A fascinating look at thought process and methodology, but sadly has less of the Deep Lore I eternally crave.

There are two paths open to Eike: to develop a skill in Enchanting based upon your own, or to develop one of her own.
I see no gain in hampering her with our habits if she isn't well equipped to utilise them.

Every turn we get closer of leading everyone else in the academic field to believe we have ADHD (or wathaver is the equivalent in warhammer limited medical knowledge). :D

On another note paper, studies, thesis and other thibng like that produced by the magic colleges are shared with other non magic institution right ?,(those who arn't classified/too dangerous)

I see Egrimm is about to realize one of the major mistakes a wizard can make.

Allowing Mathilde control over naming something.
Ergrimm will be glad to finally know her dark secret. You know Ergrimm Negaquest has been eating their hats in paranoia what her hidden hangup is. They'll be relieved when it turns out she's secretly a huge dork.
This is the sole remaining unlearned Petty Magic, and will be easier to learn than the others. Finishing the list of Petty Magic will increase Eike's Magic characteristic, allowing her to reliably use Relatively Simple spells.
Well, that makes it pretty high priority. In fact, the highest priority.

After that, I'd say Magic Mapping (a damn useful spell, and it would come in handy for her private economics uses). After that Silence, Skywalk, Magic Alarm, Magic Lock and Dispel are situationally useful and very much worth learning, but I couldn't give any particular order. So is Blessed weapon, but I don't think Eike will have to fight ghosts or daemons in the near future, so I don't think that's critical, and it can wait a bit. Move has the lowest priority IMHO. I don't see a use for the magics she can't cast reliably yet. Arguably shadowstead, but Mathilde should teach that personally because the Mastery is amazing. But all the other things are stuff she doesn't really need to do yet.

I think the relevant spells could be split into two groups. There's stuff that's useful to Eike, teenage girl. Magic Alarm and Magic Lock. And Dispel, for library access, but that's more of a "I can do this myself now!" rather than a practical improvement.
Then there's infiltration stuff. Silence and Skywalk. Magic Lock as well to a lesser degree (we shouldn't be sending her somewhere Dispel would be useful for infiltration. That should wait until she's a journeywoman).
Well, there's also spells relevant for escape/travel, and I'd count skywalk, silence, magic lock and magic alarm under those, but again I don't thing that's the biggest concern. Though we do send her off on trips fairly often, and magic lock for inn doors could be pretty useful there.

So if infiltration stuff is on the menu in the near future (next two turns or so), we should go with the second group, otherwise I'd say go with the first. Since Magic Lock is in both and I personally don't see that much sneaking coming up, since we'll hopefully see elfcation soon, my ranking would be

[ ] Sounds
[ ] Magic Lock
[ ] Dispel
[ ] Magic Alarm

Sounds because magic yes, and the rest a combination of utility spells she's likely to use.

In terms of spells, Sounds is obvious, both for pragmatic and thematic reasons after working or the portative.

After then, I'd say Magic Mapping, because it also synergises nicely with the other work she's been doing.

Presumably it let you not only create maps but also blueprints and models of engineering projects such as the portative or a bridge, which she's worked on this turn.

[ ] [PORTATIV] Portentiv
I'm definitely on board with the punny name!

[ ] [SPELL] Sounds
Very high priority, thanks to the knock-on effects.

[ ] [SPELL] Shadowsteed
[ ] [SPELL] Magic Mapping
It'd also be neat if Eike learned some of our signature spells. Shadowsteed is generally quite useful for anyone who might potentially find themselves needing to travel in a hurry, even if she'll only have the basic version instead of our specialized mastery. Similarly, the updated and simplified Mathilde's Multidimensional Aethyric Polysevirric Projection is a generally good way to present useful info, and it's in a spell format that won't be too difficult for Eike to use.

[ ] [ENCHANT] Basics Only
We might want to teach her more of this later, but getting the basics down first will save time.

They also get a free visit by the local witch hunters.
Can't wait for the story of some clever witch hunter or Ranaldian investigating some untouchably powerful nobles to replace one of the instruments at an important party so that at a dramatically appropriate time the organ starts to play a horrible wailing din as the cult realizes they've been outwitted.
