[X] Claim the site where Ranald mugged Mork and build a shrine to Ranald there

[X] All this time away has made you miss your friends, and you'll be practically next door in Altdorf. Visit Anton and Wilhelmina.

[X] King Belegar is allowing you to use the King's Armoury. Recover your extant study materials from Stirland and tuck them away safely in there.

[X] Though your future relationship with the spiders is still unknown, they do appear to be a new species and you do have a number of corpses available. Have Esbern and Seija help you autopsy the creatures for a paper.

[X] Make a full report on the geopolitical troubles among the Dwarven Empire, even though some of it was said to you in confidence.

All things told I think letting the Grey College know about Chaos Dwarves and the creation of Black Orcs is important enough to override squeamishness about essentially informing on our friends. That said, I wouldn't hate for it to lose right now, we can always plausibly bring it up later after all as 'new' information so long as we're in frequent contact with both the Dwarves and Orcs.

The Colleges of magic are capable of teaching Anoqeyån if we go by the 2e Career profiles. So that might be something to spend our college favour on as the lore makes it kind of clear that the closer to the prime arcane language you go the more accurate your descriptions are which would help massively with research and communicating our research, even if requiring anoqeyån means only Magisters and Wizard Lords will be able to make use of it.

One thing that was very interesting that I think most people missed;

Karak Kadrin thrives on trade with Ostermark and Kislev - they just built a canal for the former -

Karak Kadrin just built a canal for Ostermark. Remember the speculation that was going on way back in Stirland that Ostermark wanted a canal to the River Stir for trade purposes?

I think Stirland's economic forecast looks bright and sunny.

Its good Roswita is working with Ostermark, we don't want the place going to the pots after all our friends live there.

[X] You've been out of touch for a while. Linger in Altdorf after you visit the College and catch up with what's been happening in the Empire.

If anything, wouldn't the elves', the dwarfs', or even the slann's arcane languages be further away from the concepts embodied by the Waaaagh! than Reikspeil, and to truly understand the fundamental forces behind them you need to meditate in the worst, most dismal taverns in the empire (or maybe the border princes) and then achieve the Zen of Drunken Barfight, a state where you can intuitively grasp the 76 subtle variations of "eh, what are you lookin' at?" and be able to grasp how hard the resultant headbutt should be.

EDIT: Now, that is all fun and games, but completely unironically if and when we need to write another paper on the greenskin psyke, we should get completely fucking hammered before-hand, it might legitimately give us a better chance of conveying the concepts in a way as to be describable to other.

Ngl I find the mental image of Jock Mathilde bullying Ork Nerds to get their lunch money and maybe figure out the damn paper to be absolutely hilarious.
We're really the young criminal on the block. Even if they run to their dads, we've rob those too (though it was at the behest of one of them during divorce proceedings.)
I am both extremely amused and yet incredibly envious that the Gold college can cheat at writing academic papers with their spells. :V
We must study the snake juice so we can learn to cast that spell ourselves! Or just get a gold minion, that works too.

If I had the time and interest, I'd really like to make a repository of all the different things people have confidently stated the Snake Juice will be good for, off of basically nothing. I'm sure it's quite a list.

This sounds like a job for Drunk Mathilde and her Holy Gambling Night.

well it's quite possible to have the colleges make us a magic item that can cast the spell on us as a bound spell it'd use college favour to do but is probably worthwhile. That said I'm actually pretty up for spending college favour on picking up Anoqeyån right now.

It's liquified winds of magic, it's capable of literally everything but that doesn't mean Mathilde is capable of doing literally everything with it. That's just the nature of a cocktail of every wind of magic, there's no limit to what could be done with it.

No. One or the other.
Could we at least try to negotiate? It just seems weird that giving them 5 eggs doesn't leave us the option to at least keep one, even if we have to pay them back for expenses.
If we see it as a transaction, favor for giving them 5 eggs should at least give us enough favor to pay for one hatched whatever or it's a shitty deal.

Neither of those is practical (well, Maximillian will be around for a while, but eventually he'll leave to become a Magister and he demands co-author credit on things), but we do have realistic options. There's been a suggestion before to get Law of Logic (Gold spell that basically does this), Inspiration (Light spell that essentially pulls knowledge out of the aethyr), or both on items so that we can use them for assisting analysis and research work. We just need some College Favor for it.

We can also get a Grey College perpetual apprentice as our personal lab minion, librarian, and/or paper-writer, though how many favors that would take is uncertain. Probably not that many; it's not like there's a shortage of huge nerds with mediocre talent at magic in the Colleges. Maybe we can get two, one of whom can run intel networks while the other manages our lab.
