[x] Keep them to be hatched.

[x] All this time away has made you miss your friends, and you'll be practically next door in Altdorf. Visit Anton and Wilhelmina.
[x] You've been out of touch for a while. Linger in Altdorf after you visit the College and catch up with what's been happening in the Empire

I really don't want to just cut ourselves off from our friends.

[X] Speak with King Belegar and King Kazador about the relationships and apparent rifts between Dwarfholds.
[X] Scout the rest of the Eight Peaks, to find out what other horrors are waiting out there.
[X] Join Karak Azul as they raid and scout in force the other portions of the Karak.
[X] Try to follow Johann, to see what he's getting up to.

Well I still see no reason why we should spend an action building up a shrine. We can take a few minutes to scribble Ranald Was Here on the wall without spending an entire action on it. I'd much rather read about scouting out the Skaven or hanging out with Kazador than whatever we get up to in the shrine.

I want to build a temple/tavern for Ranald but we shouldn't go out of the way to build a shrine in the Karag Nar temple. Instead it would be better to use the time and money that would otherwise be spent on the greenskin temple to be used for useful purposes since that would be the best way to show our devotion to Ranald. Building shrines to glorify past deeds is for Sigmarites, let's be a more practical devotee to a more practical god. Sure we could both make a temple and build a shrine but would Ranald would really approve of the waste?

Reasons to build elsewhere.

Tavern: If we're going to build a place for Ranald it should in a population center which the greenskin temple very much isn't. In addition this way can make our temple serve a useful purpose by serving fine dwarf approved drinks as well as being a gambling den and serving all sorts of useful purposes such as being a node for a spy network.

Shallya: The other thing I really want to do is make sure a temple to Shallya is built right next to our Ranald temple. All the people who get injured in bar fights, drunken foolery and gambling disputes can go right next door to Shallya's temple for treatment. Mostly though the shipper in me demands we ensure the temples are right next to each other. Ranald x Shallya.

Reasons to not build at the Greenskin Temple.

Scene of the crime: The greenskin temple isn't just a place where Ranald performed a divine deed. It's also a place where he committed a theft, and what kind of thief returns to the scene of the crime? From a certain perspective not returning here can be considered a mark of divine respect just as great as building a shrine here.

Unappealing: Building a shrine at the former greenskin temple is unappealing, and not just because it used to be a gross orc shrine or because of it's inconvenient location. The real reason it's unappealing is that spending time and money to build up a shrine just to glorify Ranald's theft feels a little gross. Spending time and money that could be used to create something useful like a tavern or to scout out the enemies at our doorstep and instead using it to make a shrine glorifying a god's deeds feels like a thing Sigmar's priests would do. Mathilde dislikes the Sigmarites largely because instead of doing practical useful things they seem to spend their time seeking political power and glorifying their god, besides Ranald is a god who seems like he'd prefer a good drink and a fun time gambling rather than a memorial to his theft.

Could we at least try to negotiate? It just seems weird that giving them 5 eggs doesn't leave us the option to at least keep one, even if we have to pay them back for expenses.
If we see it as a transaction, favor for giving them 5 eggs should at least give us enough favor to pay for one hatched whatever or it's a shitty deal.

If you want Mathilde to spend time and effort on the eggs and whatever's in them, keep them. If you don't, give them away. It's one or the other.

@BoneyM , can we go and hunt a Dragon Ogre at some point? The Amberlings did already for the lulz. We can do something even better I guess.

If you really want to get into a pointless fight there's still six peaks much closer to hand.

It saddens me how quickly people are rushing to give them away, with the ambers around and based on the spiders we will only need an action to see them hacheted and after we know what they are we can make a much better decision and get much more from whatever we decide to do with them, rushing to get ride of them when we are perfectly possitioned to use them in miriad way before even knowing what thye are is wastefull, even giving them away is likely to produce more favor if we wait for them to hacth.

I am also suprised no one is voting for the Zoo, if they can handle a dragon dinosaurs would be a piece of cake, and we can trade Zoo favor for a Griffin, a Griffin people, and if there is a more fitting mount on this world for a grey wizard devoted to Ranald than a half-eagle half-cat I don't know of it, we even have one the best houses to keep it around, just slap our armor enchantement and we have the strategic movement of a gyrocopter but cuter.

To my understanding the shrine is the tavern. That's how everyone sees it that I've seen mentioning it.

Yeah that's my take on it too. She can understand what's going on with the energies there, but basically has to explain it with the imagery Mork used in his own skull.
To me it came across as though she understands it to such a thorough and intuitive degree that she can't translate it into words- she has too great a grasp on it, and as such has ended up in the position of trying to describe colour to someone who doesn't even know what 'sight' is.

Tough choice.

The Weber Estate is nice enough but kind of worthless, being mostly goats and hills. Just need to stop in occasionally to make sure it's being run properly and not overrun by the undead or something. There seems to be more to do out here, and with a leader who actually likes Mathilde... but I'm feeling a bit sad that it's a couple weeks' ride back to friends in Stirland.
Buuuuut... the Sky Thane likes Mathilde, and comes from Zhufbar. Regular trips are likely to become the norm, and flying is AWESOME. So maybe it'll work out alright.

[X] Keep them to be hatched.

Plenty of meat around here for carnivores. The climate around the mountains is probably more suitable for them than up north, too.
Also, I want "Ranald" and "Dinosaurs" to become synonymous. Somehow.

Everything else is chugging along fine while the Dwarf fortifications go up. Build shrine, move things into Wizard Tower, visit friends.

Once the underground palace is cleared out, we could gift it to Heideck. He did kind of sanctify the place, and I bet a priest of Ranald would get a kick out of having a hidden underground palace.

Plus, it's already full of adorable fluffy mangy feral cats. He'd love it there.

That seems kind of important too.

Check the notes on the location. It's in a really bad place for it away from any population centers which would make a it a terrible place for a tavern and even worse place for a Shallya temple.

[ ] Karag Nar temple
Your previous 'tower' was nothing of the sort, and perhaps you wish to continue that trend. If so, the site of you and Ranald triumphing over Gork and Mork would certainly be equally auspicious. It's a convenient* distance from the population centers of the Karag and has a nearby side-entrance you could properly conceal and keep for your own use. (note: if you don't choose this as a tower, you can still use it in the future for a shrine or some other purpose. Nobody but you, Belegar, and Kragg know its significance, and everyone else just sees it as a former greenskin temple an inconvenient distance from the rest of the Karag.)
*Presumably convenient here means nice and distant but still a short trip for Mathilde considering in the same paragraph it mentions that the temple is an inconvenient distance from everything else.

[X] Speak with King Belegar and King Kazador about the relationships and apparent rifts between Dwarfholds.
This suggests a future assisting Karak Eight Peaks with foreign relations, as a Spymaster focused on threats outside the Karak.

This suggests a future of investigation and study at Karak Eight Peaks, and perhaps helping Johann poke at Skaven technology.

[X] King Belegar is allowing you to use the King's Armoury. Recover your extant study materials from Stirland and tuck them away safely in there.
This suggests a future catching up on your pre-existing study topics.
