Do we have any contracts or legal documents that apply "until death", and do any of them apply to Mathilde? I'm curious on the technicalities of those clauses if we do actually die and come back. I imagine the legal divisions of the Empire have an "Anti-Necromancy" clause to prevent Necro-Fraud, but it doesn't hurt to check.
With the existence of magic healing I imagine you aren't legally dead unless you stay dead.

Though I'm pretty sure those only apply if the individual is dead for a significant amount of time. Fresh technically-corpses subjected to Regrowth probably just count as "heavily injured and healed".

Not sure if it counts if we don't, you know, die die. Seed resurrection is more like being resuscitated on an operating table or something.

If you get raised by Life magic you were never really dead in the sense that the Empire's priests would accept, that is the soul has left the body and gone on to its afterlife. If you were raised by necromancy the conversation starts with 'die heretic' and gets worse from there.

Well, the knighthood vows don't seem to include "until death".
"Mathilde Weber," Van Hal intones, "you have been deemed fit for this high estate. Do you now swear, by Sigmar and all the Gods of the Empire, that you will honour and defend the Empire of Man?"

"This day do I render homage and fealty to my Lord, the Elector Count Abelhelm Van Hal of Stirland, who will, from this day forward, be my Liege. I will remain true in all ways, serving him faithfully - this do I swear, by my life and by my Gods. So say I, Mathilde Weber."

"I accept your homage and fealty, and pledge to you that from this day forward until the end of my reign, you are my Liegewoman, and that I will honour and defend your rights as a Knight." You brace yourself, knowing what's coming next. "Let this be the last blow you receive unanswered." And with that, he delivers a heavy blow to your face that near sends you sprawling and marks the culmination of the ceremony.

Honestly, if there was ever a time for Dragonflask, I think this is it.

Definitely not going for Pursue.

@Boney Thank you for the great update.

I'm a bit shocked by Drycha's relatively low bonuses in comparison to Mathilde and the absolutely gigantic penalty she's taken. -20? That is absurd. It feels like the odds were so unbelievably stacked in our favor that even our awful rolls were irrelevant.

Dragonflask may be too slow. Save it for the tree man, and lead with our strength in countermagic against Drycha.

I think we can make a fair case for pursuit being too dangerous, though if we could manage it we would likely learn quite a lot about Ulgu. Counter is matching her skill against skill, not good odds, but she cannot force a miscast on a dispel so pretty safe to try. Attack depends on if our mortal self is fast enough to get to her in time... I do not think that is likely.

Given that this is the end of the battle I think I am going to vote Dragonflask. She will not be expecting battle magic grade fire IMO

managing to leap to its feat
Should be "feet"

Yeah, Intrigue 25 to our 27 (plus another +10 from Hidden Watcher), and a traitless Martial 20 to our 23.

I feel like it's more that maybe Drycha's stats in tabletop are being interpreted as the results of bonuses from her tactics that are hard to properly implement on tabletop, but easier to handle in this sort of format.

Dragonflask does take a crucial moment, I'd prefer countering.

We are unlikely to get her in a better position and Learning is Mathilde's highest stat.

I think that in a typical situation it would be reversed, since usually Drycha has the woods on her side which likely results in that being a +20 instead.

[Mathilde spotting Drycha: Intrigue, 24+27+10(Windsage)=61 vs 69+25+10(Trait: Hidden Watcher)-20(Rejected by the Forest)=84.]
[Drycha spotting Mathilde: Intrigue, 27+25+10(Trait: Hidden Watcher)=62 vs 21+27+10(Invisibility)=58.]
Huh. Mathilde wasn't spotted, in spite of losing the roll-off.
Was the difference too small, thus needing a confirm check?

I dunno. The Chaos Champion we fought was 30 Martial, and yeah he's Khorne and everything, but he's lived a fraction of Drycha's life. It feels shocking that she has 20 martial.
