@BoneyM what's with the Lores of Life and Light's connection to stone? Shouldn't Lore of Metal be the stony magic?

Stone and metal have completely different mystical associations. Pyramid power for the Lights, elemental earth for the Jades, the seven classical metals of alchemy for the Golds.

It's worth noting that in quite a few (mostly eastern) takes on the basic elements, Earth and Metal are treated as separate elements (along with Wood, Fire, and Water).

I think that when it comes to magic and associations no human mind, much less one that is immersed in the wind can really make a distinction between what the Winds may be drawn to 'naturally' and what they are simply complected to in a certain tradition. That feels like the wizard equivalent of Navel-gazing at best and Tzeench-bait at worst since he claims to know all the magic.

Even for someone that has grown used to the trips across the Old World, the gyrocarriage trip to Karak Vlag is a long and tiring one. You spend a lot of your time reading anyway, but doing so in cramped conditions with the drone of engines and the chill of altitude for company is surprisingly draining and it doesn't take long for you to yearn to be doing anything else. But it's a burden you have to put up with, as your sense of responsibiltiy and your ego are aligning with each other to point you in their direction. You want to know more about the Dwarves that survive almost two centuries locked away in the warp and besieged by Daemons, and how well they're finding their place in the world once more.
Roughly how long does it take to go from K8P to Karak Vlag by Gyrocopter? I'm guessing there's a pitstop in Karak Kadrin or Zhufbar on the way to keep fuel topped up.

Over a day by gyrocarriage.
Do the dwarves who pilot gyro-vehicles suffer from hearing damage, or do dwarves know about/protect against that issue? Presumably Mathilde can just use the seed to regen any damage she suffers herself, assuming she takes any, but what about the pilots?

The standard flying helmet has eye and ear protection built in, but not all pilots wear them.

My head canon on why, when humans can learn more than one wind effectively, it tends to be Ghur and Ghyran is that to the human mind the two can be compartmentalized as 'nature'.

its just that Telic theory is based off magic made for the elven mind and to the elven mind those two things need every different mindsets.

Problem with that explanation is that those humans usually later learn Azyr, including mystical aspect, which is pretty far from nature. Assuming you meant Damsels, of course, and not something else.

Theoretically, Elementalists are also a thing. And theoretically, they'd also be using Aqshy, Ghyran, Ulgu and Azyr... but only the elemental part. So, yeah...

There really is an argument that Elven magic systems assume elven psychology without understanding what psychology really is.

So the assumption is that human minds are lesser, and so cant use more than one wind. and don't question this concept

while the question should be, 'human minds are different, and so relate to magic differently.' e.g (damsels and Albonnese, ice witchs, Elementalist etc.)

There is one very simple answer that covers all the different approaches and their incompatibilities in theoretical basis:
