I feel bad for Gwen during all this, no doubt she is feeling super guilty for what happened to Freddy and Eldrya, two people in her life besides her mother who showed her kindness and want to help her. Its important we rescue both not just for them, but for her too.

Heck, even Hul feels so indebted to both that she didn't take the easy way out and escape with her daughter off the Ark yet. That and still needing the support of a Handmaiden to ask the Everqueen for safe harbor, but still!

"What, no dreams of blood?" Johanna snarks. "No deep voice of a brass-throated daemon proclaiming their favor for your deed?"

"No," Hultressa sniffs.

She almost sounds offended that she didn't.

Oh...

I didn't catch the implications of this at first but with Freddy being on the Ark.

Well I guess it's time for the reunion.

[X] Plan: Less Ambition
-[X] Keep Kerillian Close: The potential fractious damage that bringing in any more Druchii than you've got to the warband which is primarily made up of the freed could be considerable. Too much to countenance if you wish to command effectively and without major issue. In another time, another place, simply following Khaine might be enough to unify elves aplenty, but this is not then. Besides, you'll want Kerillian to help you kill other Druchii in your way tomorrow.
-[X]Arenas
--[X] The Crimson Thorn: House Direblaze was first to swear to Alyssa, so this would be yet another blow to the power her crumbled faction possesses and could potentially call upon. There may be gladiators here to free as well. Also monstrous beasts that you might be able to unleash to cause rampages and damage, if Hultressa can somewhat command the damn things with Ghur and the like, as well as the strange and mysterious Lizardmen. Whether or not they would be a help or hinderance is unknown at this time.
-[X] The People
--[X] Courage to Cowards: the Claw of Dominion are terrified, but many of them are so inured to their state of being that to imagine doing otherwise is immensely difficult for them. With the Druchii so terribly distracted with each other, this is the last chance you'll get, that any of your warband will get, to convince them to do otherwise. Make the effort, even if it draws the attention of some Druchii who's outrage at freed slaves might make them an issue to be dealt with. Give them one last chance to die free.
--[X] The Noble Asur: There are more Asur scattered around the Black Ark. For psychologically damaging reasons, the Druchii were happy to inform the Asur of how many of their fellows were enslaved, and where, and what was regularly being done to them. Some were captured in the ill-fated expedition led by Eldyra, others are older than that. The Asur with Sadrina have spoken up. If this really is the last chance, then some effort should be put in, they claim, to try and raid those remaining noble estates that would have them. With the Druchii falling upon themselves across the whole Ark, there will never be a better chance and the Druchii in a weaker position.

This is becoming one of my favorite arcs. It's grueling, and I've more often than not disagreed with player votes, but damn. I'm immersed.

I hope we land in troll country , that way we can rescue the Tzarenia and Natasha can have an adventure with her big sister while Freddy reconnects with the death twins so they too can have a Hohenzollern family adventure

The titanic swagger of Mom and Dad beaching a Black Ark which they absolutely fucking ruined and then hopping out to help out your daughters with a little revolution of their own gives me chills.

[X] Plan: Well rested to avoid to much Exhaustion+Attrition+Attention

We need that 3 square meals and rest. Sucks but we need to not overextend.

However, I also rec plan less ambition, since that would still get us the best of what we need.

The druichii rampaging wildly and aimlessly helps as a distraction anyways.

[X] Plan Blood, Monsters, and Elves

Yeah, this ark is fucked.

Also I'm not sure if the apprentices were included in the initial sorceress count but if so that's another 2 dead by our hand, I think another by Hultressa (not certain if she's referring to the previous one she killed or a new one) and I imagine some were probably killed when the siege went sideways.

In addition to that, it's likely that she'l have to put one of her more skilled sorceresses or even multiple on the anchorstone that got damaged this round. Not sure where that puts her on sorceress count apart from 'really not enough'

Lizards to help rescue the lizard. Let's get every soul off this rotting corpse that we can!

Even I didn't always agree, full acknowledgement to the plan writers. This is wild.

We may yet gift another ark to the high elves!

Unfortunately it seems like this ark has already been gifted to a rather different group

So the Claw of Dominion is gonna have a ruined pop and manpower after this, as all those factions are gonna be fighting Alyssan and most likey each other

I'm very interested to see where the entire Rhya worship aspect is going with Johanna. It seems like there's an interesting story there.

Also, what's the bet that once the Ark crashes onto the shores of Norsca, it'll be right into the middle of the Lizardmen and Khornites battling over who is actually going to properly intercept the Ark.

Let me be a bit meta we know there is a lizardmen and a slan currently on norsca it might be good to have lizardmen with us in case we find them. I can see drop kicking Freddy back to the empire being on the to do list of the slan.
I really want a connection with the old one worshiping norscans and dwarfs.

could even the Anchorstone Complexes
I believe there is a missing "see" here.

Wonderfull chapter! I love seeing that Nat also immediately thawed down at the sight of Gwen. And ofc Hultressa has gone completely overboard in defense of her daughter and made the situation worse for herself on the long run. Very in-character for her. And naturally they do not know that Eldyra survived. Hope Nat tells them. It would probably be good for Gwen to know.

I hope Oskana will finally be able to contribute in the fighting now, with the increased chaos. Perhaps they are able to flank the Tor from above when the assault comes.

Wonder where Mhagda went. Did she blow herself up together with the Anchorstone? As far as I know, she is the only one left unaccounted for. She would be golden if we end up on a ship off the coast of Norsca.

Also hilarious of Torroar to include a section with Logan having never experienced a siege just after a discussion in the thread about the lack of a proper siege in the story. 😆
