We don't really need to get in any massive fights anymore.

Just Keep Kerillian Close and recruit by doing the People options seems good to me.

No need to go after the Arenas.

We need skilled fighters, the arenas have that. One also has lizardmen, which well, really would help us, if the lizardmen join us, or it would help us if the lizardmen do their own thing while we strike for Freddy. Anyways, we need more bodies. There's a difference between slaves and body kept in physical prime for a fight.

Our next major fights are breaking out Frederick, and maybe dealing with Khaine's temple.

The arenas will have a bunch of higher tier troops.

This campaign does not end with the Ark, there is still the long road home.

And we can't be sure how much time we will have after killing Alyssa and rescuing Fredrick to recruit again.

In the meantime, get punked Alyssa!

You got wounded by the High Priestess of thots in a magic duel. Consider how shameful that is.

Your largest mobile force was shattered by Hultressa, your alliance with the Cult of Mathlann has fallen apart and the entire city is rioting and hunting down your followers in the streets.

Chaos reigns. Lets raid the Arenas and find and free the Asur. Also, with Hultressa added to the hero doomstack that has got to be another +20 or +25 modifier.

Any conventional force in our way is going to get wiped out. And individual Sorceresses are much less trouble now. Like 2-3 full blown Coven members can match Hultressa, but with hero support it becomes much less lopsided. And any apprentice Sorceresses are just easy meat.

The Khornate invite is worrying. Originally we needed to act before arriving at Norsca because Alyssa was planning to trade with and recruit a ton of Slaanesh aligned Norscan warriors and Chaos warriors.

Now with the invitation I'm concerned that a bunch of Khornates will be gathering there instead, intent on boarding the Ark.

It's also been repeatedly mentioned that they've been sacrificing the slaves in the Arenas not mention it would mean fighting the other Druchii who are against Alyssa.

The Asur slaves are pretty elite under the Handmaiden anyways.

Yes and the more they sacrifice the more portals and demons they can summon.

And dude, we will have to fight neutral Druchii wherever we go. Per the update, we are on the other side of the city from the Tor of Dominance. We have to march through this mess to hit our targets. We will be treating pretty much everyone as hostile.

So go to the Arenas, get tons of troops, kill bunches of Alyssan loyalists, because her forces still garrison those places, and then raid manses everywhere to free Asur slaves.

Personally think Kerillian should use chance to rally up some local support and point them in a direction, since if nothing else they will make a great distraction/meat shields, lol.

She has done pretty good in Khaine's name, sure he would support this too.

Do also like how Alyssa is apparently very injured and very low on loyal sorceresses, the rest of which seeming likely to abandon her or attempt to knock her off.

I'm curious if we'll have to contend with the anti-Alyssa faction when getting Frederick back. The Seige has been broken, presumably they will also be rallying for an assault. I'm thinking we might want to send Kerillian out to prevent them from growing too strong. If they want to sit things out and fight for control of the ark after we deal with Alyssa that might be for the best.

She's keeping the druchii we have in line. Plus if we free asur, better to have her around.

Voting time!

Send Kerillian out for more meat shields in final stretch, and cause it won't cause any direct debuff like other recruiting option.

Plus, I hope by recruiting monsters and other freed elves any other dark elves that join up might not raise as much a stink about it like they likely would with non-elves. Besides, the elven prisoners will be more likely to be in fighting shape, especially the most recent captures from Eldrya's volunteer forces, and will help Eldrya out herself too seeing friendly and familiar faces.

Only choosing one option from each should help limit any debuffs a little too.

[X] Plan Blood, Monsters, and Elves
-[X] Send Kerillian Out: It is undeniable that elven expertise and experience could outweigh what a freedman could accomplish much of the time. Perhaps it is time to see what can be gathered to your side in that course. Through murder and destruction and warmaking, all things are permitted so long as Khaine's divine will remains supreme, or so you've heard said repeatedly. If that includes fighting alongside freedmen to attack one who blasphemed against the Bloody Handed God, perhaps that means some might join up.
-[X]Arenas
--[X] The Crimson Thorn: House Direblaze was first to swear to Alyssa, so this would be yet another blow to the power her crumbled faction possesses and could potentially call upon. There may be gladiators here to free as well. Also monstrous beasts that you might be able to unleash to cause rampages and damage, if Hultressa can somewhat command the damn things with Ghur and the like, as well as the strange and mysterious Lizardmen. Whether or not they would be a help or hinderance is unknown at this time.
-[X] The People
--[X] The Noble Asur: There are more Asur scattered around the Black Ark. For psychologically damaging reasons, the Druchii were happy to inform the Asur of how many of their fellows were enslaved, and where, and what was regularly being done to them. Some were captured in the ill-fated expedition led by Eldyra, others are older than that. The Asur with Sadrina have spoken up. If this really is the last chance, then some effort should be put in, they claim, to try and raid those remaining noble estates that would have them. With the Druchii falling upon themselves across the whole Ark, there will never be a better chance and the Druchii in a weaker position.

[X] Plan: Less Ambition
-[X] Keep Kerillian Close: The potential fractious damage that bringing in any more Druchii than you've got to the warband which is primarily made up of the freed could be considerable. Too much to countenance if you wish to command effectively and without major issue. In another time, another place, simply following Khaine might be enough to unify elves aplenty, but this is not then. Besides, you'll want Kerillian to help you kill other Druchii in your way tomorrow.

--[X] Courage to Cowards: the Claw of Dominion are terrified, but many of them are so inured to their state of being that to imagine doing otherwise is immensely difficult for them. With the Druchii so terribly distracted with each other, this is the last chance you'll get, that any of your warband will get, to convince them to do otherwise. Make the effort, even if it draws the attention of some Druchii who's outrage at freed slaves might make them an issue to be dealt with. Give them one last chance to die free.

It looks like the only arena with actual goodies left is The Crimson Thorn. Not only do we hit Alyssa's powerbase, but it likely has the more intact hero units, and fighters. With the other arena likely heavily depleted. Keep Kerillian around, because this plan involves freeing more slaves, or trying to free them at least. This plan can work in my mind, it's not too ambitious to hit one arena, and all the people in my mind. If it works, we get more fighters, a possible hero unit, and some asur.

--[] The Ring of Gore: Owned by House Spitethorn, and known for its numerous gladiators and combats involving great numbers. How many gladiators remain after all this time, whether taken away for sacrifice to Chaos or otherwise by other Cults of the Cytharai, lost in infighting? You don't know. But some must, and some must be willing to take up the fight for freedom and vengeance. However many you get, you'll also be killing the Druchii controlling the place. Thankfully, given current events, it's not like they'll be getting help from anyone.

Hits the arenas, frees asur, and keeps Kerilian with us to maintain cohesion.

I want this plan to succed, as I want us to free as many of the slaves as possible, and this plan acheives essentially that. Especially since we are going to need the bodies to both storm the Tor, then the Docks, and then from their reach the Norscan Mountains to meet up with the Norscan Civil war as we try and march down south into Kislev and the empire. As for the Arena choice, We want the lizardmen, as they have some potential hero units, and Norsca currently has a Slann Mage priest that is going to very much like and some new lizardmen to protect him, and they enter to protect a Slann after their decades of Torture.

Please keep this in mind.
Breaker of Chains [Choose As Many As You Like, But Exhaustion+Attrition+Attention Will Grow As Issues With Each Successive Choice] [Re: Attention - Some Druchii, even if against Alyssa, might still be against freeing slaves]
If we take too many actions in regards to arenas/recruitment, we will earn bigger debuffs with every success.

I think its smarter to limit our options and reduce debuff risk.

It's safe, for both of them, I believe.

Kerillian stays, so internal cohesion is going to be fine-ish. Hitting one arena, should be fine. Perfectly safe. Then comes the people, these have chances of failure, so even if it's tried unless it suceeds nothing is going to really change there.

With the two arena hit plan, it should be fine, you hit the arenas and free asur, which is a win for us if the rolls are great. It also deprives the druchii of more sacrifices.

I think it can work, because the plans involve keeping Kerillian with the group. Her presence is helping keep unrest down, and while attention may be attracted from other groups. By the time anyone bothers looking at us, we'd have accomplished something (which mean we have numbers on our side, or magic users, or something), or been noticed after the first target.

[X] Plan: Less Ambition

Been a while since I've seen Marlin create his own plan, considering how monofocused he is on this quest, and the stats, numbers, and persona stuff, I trust him on this plan of his for maximum effort on getting ourselves up and ready for battle against Voidreaper before this Ark really does go down under as it crashes along the coastline, since nobody is going to be interested in trying to repair it among Alyssa's troops with Mathlann now backstabbing her like they have right now.

What happened to the Mannan High Priestess that turned into a giant sea creature? Is she still hanging around underneath the Ark?
Presumably, after that thing she did with the Complex she blew up, and the wards now being reduced thanks to another complex going offline and the wards around the Ark getting destroyed, I think she is going to try and do another massive spell like before, only it will be at the Main Tor.

Holy shit... How, with all the crap you're going through, did you somehow manage to write 23,000 words in a week? Just fucking... how? That's something like a sustained week of my peak daily output, when it comes to fiction.
He did this over the course of two days.

Wittnessing it even from the mere edge of that manic writting drive was... awe inspiring.
[Torroar himself described it as manic writting to me drive, before people think i am insulting him]
