Party is near back to full potential, if Eldyra volunteered again during the raid, it is best we keep her close during the strike.

Let our wife and Johanna moved about as solo or duo, Roland to secure the exit and keep the rest of the freed slaves together.

Question now is if we are going to allow Gwendolin go into the temple alongside her mother to plant them bombs( Not sure if we should assign Johanna to this by making a skinsuit of a terror so she can dress it or something).

So Death Thorn needs repairs/replacement and so does the rest of Eldyra's gear.
The rest of her stuff was with Tullaris and he left his stuff on the other Black Ark.( I think)

Hultressa could definitely buy one for Eldyra because she's not going to be using the wealth she's leaving behind.

What's the best we can hope for while we're stuck on the Black Ark?

I suddenly want to bring Dreadbringer back just so we can kill him again but slower
Khaine almost certainly just forced him to watch that magnificent roast. Probably while he is nailed to a butcher's block being prepared as a roast.

He fucked up hardcore while personally demanding the god's attention so, yeah, it will be a few more weeks before the bloody handed gets bored of his meatpuppet. Tullaris made him look bad and he's going to take that personally.

Fred in fact did just increase his suffering that little bit more.

I mean, he is the god of murder after all.

Also a fun thing about this update is I'm fairly sure Hultressa had a part of her mind screaming at her that Freddy's behaviour towards Gwendolyn was part of some kind of plot to try and turn them against each other or something like that (dark elf attitudes are difficult to shake).

She's probably just seen Freddy being ultradad to Eldyra and realised 'Oh, he's just like that'

Hultressa sacked Tullaris' personal abbatoir that he'd made for himself after killing the Claw's standing Death Hag for her failures at being nearly as murderous as he thought appropriate, yes. That was where he was storing Eldyra and his other toys to do simply unspeakable things to. She retrieved Eldyra from there, the other toys having expired by that point without the regular healing that Tullaris had been forcing on them all thanks to the organizational chaos. It was another chamber in the Tor of Dominance, yes.

The Ark's Temple of Khaine is outside of the Tor itself, a genuine temple complex.

It's a bit sobering and sad that the entire expedition that Eldyra raised just went topside, the rare few effort and it all just went down the drain.

Hopefully it was more of a case of her covering an fallback so rest of her force could get out of dodge before she disengages. sadly did not work well enough. Tullaniss did call her a distraction, but even he could not order both arks to change course to play 'catch them all'.
Some should be alive since some Asur did make it to Salkaten. i would hope.

On another , less depresing note

Halflings and dwarfs can have kids in DnD. How does it works here? was is EVER attempted?

Cause in DnD deep lore it's refered to as 'dwarven salvation'.
Essentially dwarfs having kids with Halflings results in 'half-dwarfs' (no pun, it's official)
However if at any point down the geanological line any of those half-dwarfs desendants ends up with full blooded dwarf, all their kids would be fully fledged Dwarfs. some fancy genetic trait...

In Warhammer world? We would never know. None would ever admit it.

Edit:
As for humans and elfs having kids? I would Imagine the easy part would be convincing Gods of both races to grant their favor to such paring. so ya know. Not gonna happen.

No. Dawi are fundamentally diferent from halflings.
Demi races are not a concept in Warhammer that is not an abomination or divine input.

Mixed species couples are not unheard of but it's exiling rare due well, Dwarfs and Elves hating each other, Humans living way less time, humanoid dragons being rare individuals.
And everyone else being Monsters worth of contempt.

To keep things nice and not complicated. This quest does not do half-humans bar one exception. Sticking to a species on species only thing. With the only exception being the dragons of Cathay on humans.

Well, almost the only exception, fimir, chaos, beastmen, Chaos, skaven, Chaos. Have I mentioned how chaos can just overwrite stuff? Like turning someone from one species into skaven, or making the impossible pregnant with a fimir, you get the idea?

Yeah, given what the Druchii regularly get up to, I don't necessarily think that half-human/half-elves are possible. Coupling is certainly possible, there was a spectacularly ugly Dwarf Slayer in the Gotrek and Felix series who got with an enormous amount of prostitutes and I thiiiink might have slept with an elf which heavily disgusted the other dwarfs but he didn't care. But something something genetics incompatability something something magic something something metaphysical issues.

One of the things I like warhammer is that the races felt like proper species. Elves aren't just pretty long lived humans and dwarves aren't short hairy humans. It's a problem sometimes in DnD I feel.

Of course through love and Isha all things are possible mwhahahaha

They are and they aren't really. Basically all races where created by the old ones and they followed a template. Elves and Dwarfs are finished products while humans, halflings and Ogres with different stages of unfinishung.
(Arguably Human are finished but the fall of the old order made them lose the story and traditions that enabled them to actually operate in their intended capacity while the Dawi and Elves had their gods.
But they follow the same template and see the wrold in a close enough level that understanding can be reached unlike lets say the orks and lizardman that would only be able to coexist on the barest sense.
They aren't inherently and imutably alien to one another still operating on black and white moral system.

The Old Ones made...
Lizardmen
Elves
Dwarfs
Humans
Giants
Halflings
Ogres

The Old Ones did not make...
Dragons
Fimir
Dragon Ogres
Greenskins
Snakemen of Khuresh
Skaven
Zoats

Question Mark
Trolls?

Is all this still right for this quest or did some lore alterations happen?

I don't recall any alterations. I may had fucked on my listing.
Trough I stand to the mentally if why the lizardman would be different. They are not supposed to be a independent species, they are a tool.

Zoats are a bit iffy, but the list is otherwise correct.

Lizardmen have alcohol, rituals, celebrations, prayers, etc.

Plus, the new 4th ED stuff has some stuff on roleplaying them for encounters which are pretty neat:

Lizardmen (especially Skinks) do experience something akin to emotions, but they're slow to take hold and more muted than in warm-bloods. When they're unsure whether they're acting for the Great Plan, they feel uneasy until certainty returns. When subjected to violence, they feel cold anger until they can make things right. When they could be killed or injured, they feel a dull sense of panic. When instinct is no guide, Lizardmen struggle to make decisions. Whereas warm-blooded species rely on emotions, self-preservation, and bias to direct decisions, these motives have less influence for Lizardmen. When faced with an unexpected or unusual situation outside their experience, they struggle to take action — they're waiting for directions from above, which are rarely forthcoming. Play this out, with Lizardmen withdrawing or pausing for instruction when faced with the unfamiliar.

Lizardmen are more than scaly adversaries or guardians of fabulous treasures. Their motives are complex and sometimes warm-bloods are an important part of the Old Ones' prophecies, especially when combating the Ruinous Powers or Skaven. Lizardmen encountering Characters from the Old World may not always attack — they could ignore them, help them, try to negotiate for mutual benefit, or simply move them out of the way. Some Skinks can make conversation and ally with the party in the right circumstances. No matter what Old Worlders think, Skinks and Saurus are relatively intelligent and will be pragmatic if the situation permits.

So yes, they're tools, but they're not just, like, hammers or whatever, you know? They've got personalities, and they have to make guesses at times. And sometimes Slann can be irritating to one another as well.

Kinda like dnd lizardfolk, they aren't stupid or incapable of emotion, they just think and feel differently from warm-bloods, but can still interact with and maybe even ally/be friendly with them if an understanding can be reached.

WHF lizardmen just don't have best relationship with most warm-blood since they are either trying to kill them, steal their treasure, or both.

Denial - hugo239111
I wrote this because I wanted to, I don't know the proper system in place for this quest but I do hope it gets tagged

Denial

The lord of Murder, the bloody handed one. Khaela Mensha Khaine. All these names and more across the world encapsulated the being known as Khaine. They swirled around him, shields and arrows, blades and bolts in his never ending war to mark his claim, his domain. He existed in the heart of the Asur long before the usurper came, He denied Khorne with all his strength not out of any petty morality, but in defense of who he was. Khaine was Murder, War, BLOOD!! Any other who claimed to represent such was a usurper to his throne, how dare that being stick his fat fingers into his domain!!

His innumerable attention followed his followers, delighting in deeds done in his name. the Druchii, thousands across the world carving it into the souls of slaves, sending them screaming into his maw, a delightful snack. They even sent their own kind to him, as if such paltry gifts would keep his attention on them. Humans gathered in great numbers carving him into victims, whispering his name as they hid their devotion from their own kind. These paltry offerings were scooped up and shoved into his mouth. Asur whispered his name, careful not to draw too much of his essence in their actions, amusing but futile, each whisper he left another wound, another mark on them.

He delighted in all this, he was the cleansing flame. Khaine was the true test of a being, to give into the highest highs and the lowest lows, to show the true nature of a being and let it run free!! One sliver turned to his name being spoken.... Frederick. Von. Hohenzollern!!!

He offered his gifts freely, for they begat more gifts for one to be denied... that galled him, and such a fitting servant he should have been! He gnashed his teeth and spilt his own blood in battle, a sweet offering that he returned only to be refused. Such foes that man fell, all should have been his to feed on and instead that pathetic Sigmar got his hands on him after the denial. He was vunerable, leaving himself open to be struck down and surrounded by his servants!!

One soul, Gwendolyn it was known as was his since birth. Born on Death night, to a servant that had long denied his pull. The power that he sent coursing through her unwilling body... She was born with his name on her lips, Hultressa would be too weak to kill her own daughter. Gwendolyn would be one of his greatest servants, his from the start. She would practically be an avatar, and if she went down that route, his most powerful avatar. A true bloody hand in this world.

The other had his name carved into her flesh thousands of times. One of his greatest servants carved it, she had been so unwilling, so fresh and he broke her so exquisitely. Shame about his final pathetic showing, he thought as he toyed with what was left of the dread Tullaris's soul in his hand. Eldyra of Tiranoc, a sweet sacrifice that shall carve his name into tens of thousands. Her true soul too weak and shriveled by his ministrations to resist his mark, perhaps she would enjoy it in time.

Frederick had made a mistake, Eldyra was his now to let her have his sword she would strike him down and with one more tenuous string that kept her grounded would snap. He slavered at the opportunity, a great slayer that had denied him would be his, along with the power other divinities had invested in him, a strike against man and dwarf, such sweet deaths...He invested himself into the surroundings, suffusing the entire room with his presence. Such an act will do more than cement his influence, it would empower him, it will carve his name deep into the souls of those present and echo into their people. Druchii and Asur alike would find their souls set aflame with his power. Yes Eldyra, strike him down... What is he saying?

"You have him by the throat, Eldyra, you have him," you whisper to her, and the Asur's breath starts growing hot and hard, her free hand crushing yours all the harder. "You've cut him and kicked him and you have him by the throat. He's struggling, struggling hard, but you've got him all the same. He's screaming about his God, his precious God, about how you're unworthy…but you have him all the same."

No, No what does this unthinking beast, this denier of him think he is doing? To challenge his claim, his power!! Just as Khaine had marked Eldyra those marks were a double eged sword... The Asur were more right when they realized when they said the sword of Khaine cuts both ways. He reaches out to crush this bug as another voice screamed out. Gwendolyn as well?!?! SHE WAS HIS!

A large spear, made of the soul stuff of three beings soared out and pierced his chest. Pinning what little remains of his worthless servant to his body in the Aethyr. The point of the spear was a bright spark, ran through with his bloody mark, buried deep into his metaphysical flesh. The serrated edge of the head of the spear was a jagged grey, it's edges rusted and kept him from pulling the spear out without causing greater injury. The shaft was white and black, with a red core. The shaft was rough hewn at best, the sapling crudely carved into a suitable shape, a desperate and crude thing by a young and worthless peon who had denied his power. The spearhead had his mark, that couldn't be denied yet it used his own power against him, the grey might have once been shining, now it was tempered. The point was a delicate thing, newly forged and shaped, but he was it's artist. The god of War had crippled Vaul, forced him to make his weapons, now the crippled smith had his revenge, Khaine had learned his lessons well in the art of smithing, he had applied it liberally on the souls of his followers. Now that selfsame craft was used on him.

"He's dead" was carved into the flesh of Khaine, as his name was carved into so many others. His once great servant failed him one last time. His soul transformed as the barbaric Reikspiel echoed through his realm. Two souls that were his by all rights, no other being would dare stake a claim where his was carved so deeply. They borrowed the denial of one who had refused him before. That man was touched greatly yet his willpower was immense, to resist what he had, to survive what he had gave him a will even gods couldn't bend. Two souls carved he's dead into his Flesh. The bloody handed one was wounded immeasurably as two anchors, two souls that let him reach into the hearts and minds on all elven kind denied him. The souls had torn themselves free of his grasp, not unmarked but denial of Khaela Mensha Khaine was written into the Aethyr. The lord of Murder had escaped with his life, yet his power was weakened and once one soul could break free... how many other's could?

AN: I don't know how these get marked or what have you... but I wanted to expand on my post and it felt weird quoting without leaving it in quotes.
