that's the scary part. It isn't even trying. Things are just that dangerous.Ahhh, primordial, intelligent zombie fungus, I see. Thank you Mallus, very cool!
…Fuck this entire planet, I swear to Sigmar it's trying to kill us.
Ork Boss: "Are we just gonna let these... these Fungal-boyz steal oua jobs!?"
Boyz: "NO!"
"What're we gonna do ta 'em?"
"We gonna smash 'em!"
"Dats roight! Dis planet is not big enough for two shrooms!"
"Waaaaagh!!!"
Flashgitz would send that drill into the obvious place.I just remembered the wh40k story where the orks landed on a planet but hat planet was sentient as it send the wildlifes against them and the orks ecided to build a huge drill to burrow deep into the planet core to kill the planet in an effort to win.
So it is not too out of place for the orks to declare war on another fungus.
You know when I think of this all I can think about is how Malekith is a male druchii wizard and how a male druchii wizard is fated to kill him or something of that nature."Caledor's Bane?" You say aloud, and out of the corner of your eye see some of the Eonir and Sadrina arriving at the edge of the ring of troops. "Meet Caledor's Bane."

Maybe? Like is not like they got really overunned so people did escape, they likely need to reclaim some infrastructure trough.Wonder if our The Annulii Apple groves will survive this conflict?
Most of them were in Middle Mountains.
While a lot of the groves would be contaminated I would imagine at least some of the species survived. It was a staple crop of apple growers so some of it probably survived somewhere.Wonder if our The Annulii Apple groves will survive this conflict?

This could be me mistaken but I don't recall any actual plant matter being referenced as part of the fungal horde. So perhaps plants are immune or something. Seems weird that there aren't infected trees or something. There's the fact is not a beastman invasion may help, the fungus does not care for plants much.
Well most trees can't uproot themselves to be part of a zombie horde nor to go underground to hide from the sunlightThis could be me mistaken but I don't recall any actual plant matter being referenced as part of the fungal horde. Well yeah but it's strange that there hasn't seemingly been any infected plants. Either the fungus can't do it which seems like a major disadvantage for a being that spreads via biological hijacking or the infection prioritises animals and it's in too early a stage to begin it's work on plants. Interesting to think about even if all this is wrongWell most trees can't uproot themselves to be part of a zombie horde nor to go underground to hide from the sunlight
Likely the former, it doesn't necessarily be like the flood or technocide infestation to be scary.Well yeah but it's strange that there hasn't seemingly been any infected plants.
