There are only two things I would say;

Don't go get me everyone-We don't want to entirely deplete our manpower reserves. Remember this is warhammer (though, thankfully not grimderp) stuff has a very high chance of getting worse.

And get the protective amulets. Nurgle = bad (even with protection). Without? Welp....it will rapidly become PUSS SHOULD NOT BE COMING OUT OF THAT!

Edit; On the intrigue front - Is Gorthor in Hochland now? And I think there might have been something about cultists high up in their army structure?

Guns are better than more people right now.

Also I kind of want to have the talk with our Witch Hunter's about magic users now because the other option is not very important to us right now and the talk has a higher chance of success.

Protective Amulets is very clearly the thing we're going to want to DD on given it's only got a 55% chance to work and is incredibly important. As a result, I think we should go with the non-Ogre mercenaries, since the Ogre mercenaries only have a 50% chance to work vs the 75% Others.

Human mercenaries are kinda bad, though.
Especially since they could be infiltrated by chaos shits.

That's not really true. We don't know what Mercenaries we'll get the opportunity to hire, and lore-wise there are some pretty awesome mercenaries, though I don't know enough about WHF to know which are around during this time period. Pretty sure the Birdmen of Catrazza aren't a thing yet, but Braganza's Besiegers and the Marksmen of Miragliano might be? Maybe? My knowledge of WHF timeline is really bad.

As for Chaos infiltrators, I think worrying too much about that when trying to bolster our forces isn't the best idea. If the mercenaries available for hire don't appear on the up and up, or for the more paranoid not prestigious enough to make Nurgle infiltrators extremely unlikely, then we can always not hire them.

It says Others.

One says Ogres.

The other says Others.

It does not say Humans.

What you get might include humans, it might only humans, it might not be any humans at all.

Don't assume.

Hochland vs getting the witch hunters in line....we have quite little time before Magnus loses his patience with them and does his thing, while Hochland may be under some kind of stunning intrigue that we simply are in no position to answer.

As for recruiting even more men, we're probably better off with doubling our ranged firepower than adding many more untrained troops. Same reason why we started the Foot training. Low discipline mobs facing Nurgle soon become Nurgle mobs.

Foot Training would affect troops recruited this turn. You're effectively changing your training standards to theirs.

It will fade over time though over a few years if you don't take Actions to maintain them.

Survey will be up in an hour or so.

Yeah. I know. Skip it, hence the locking thing.

I use surveymonkey, which lets me save templates and previous saves. this is useful for a game where an option is not chosen and I don't want to click out another question and retype stuff. It's for convenience.

You aren't actually limited on the multi-option categories, you could click every single one.

You could skip every question in the survey.

Honor system bro.

And when a thing says locked, I don't even look at it.

So Walking on Moonshine seems the best option now, since that's what'll eventually get us certain flammable weapons.

Rather get copper now since it prevides minor defenses near the mountains, income, and copper is important for our engineering school when it goes up.

Get Brewer later when we have more public support so that we can afford to take the hit but not before a major chaos battle.

getting Everyone! twice would not only deplet our manpower reserves but could destroy our economic and cause a famin (not enough ppl to work the farms

Which is why we explaine why guns were a better option also it has the added benefit of keeping our troops away from plague forces allowing them to kill them at range.
