For real though that third one is probably the most likely one, depending on rolls and all that . All of the southern provinces sent a shit load of their dudes up with Magnus to achieve ultra smash final destination Kislev City, and a loooooooooooooooooooot of them died.
Because like, they followed him the whole way up, and around the Empire, fighting this and that, and when he got up to Kislev the northern provinces had way less fighting to do in general. I mean, yeah, everyone got their hits in and got hit back plenty, but...eh.

Farek looked over the missive he received from the Count Elector of Ostland. The recruiter was tired, weathered after gathering troops around the entirety of Ostland for over an entire year. Well, to be precise he was turning down troops for the better part of the year, somehow his job became the chief person at calming down towns rowdy for blood.
Farek's retinue has already been dismissed, the twelve swordsmen heading to their barracks after parting with him at the entrance of the capital. Then, he made his way to the main office in hopes of submitting his work for evaluation and then returning to his family home. Hopefully, his father and mother were well supplied by his occupation and he hoped they secured him a prospective partner.
Well, that was all before he got promoted and then received the missive from the Count Elector.
The innocuous piece of paper simply said 'EVERYONE' followed by better written document penned by Lady Natasha. There was a notable amount of praise in the latter, mostly concerning Farek's avoidance of bloodshed and bribery like his compatriots in taking in recruits. However, it seems that his cowardice and forethought in speaking when many who could object were concussed was misinterpreted in a manner that made it seem he was charismatic and pious.
"What."
Farek's superior eyed him and though the young recruiter was stupefied at his promotion, he managed to gather his wits and stand rigidly before the noble at the head of recruiting for the army.
"Farek." The wizened old man cleared his throat, beady eyes locking upon the innocuous ribbon upon Farek's chest. The younger man swallowed heavily when he noticed that no such ribbon was on the old noble's own chest. "Your excellence has been noted and thus you have been promoted, I shall not bore you with the trivialities of your promotion."
Farek gave a nod when the older man gazed at him with narrowed eyes.
"There is a matter that requires your attention, however, so your leave of absence must be disregarded for now." A sly smile came upon the older man's wizened lips. Farek smothered his protests and stood stock still. The man pressed forward another missive, still entitled with the label of 'EVERYONE' upon it. "Your new position and that ribbon of yours shall serve you well."
Farek took the proffered paper and read it over.
Then read it again.
And again.
And again.
"What." Farek declared once more, hands trembling around the parchment. "What."
Farek swore he heard to wizened man chuckle.
"Sally forth, now young man, the Imperial Foot await you. You shall be at the first village by dawn tomorrow. Imperial Foot shall detach to teach those whom you recruit in each village. Quite ingenious in my own opinion, unless you disappoint them by gathering no men where you may head." The old noble gave a devious smirk that sent a shiver down Farek's spine. The young man desperately wished there was an error in what he had read himself. "And remember the part of greatest import: No Pay for any who join."

No, I'm not.
The dubbing in EVERY anime I have ever seen from Japanese to English to put it bluntly blows goats; that's a simple fact. The translation more often than not is transliteration and loses much as well.
I speak Japanese and worked as a translator for anime for fansubs before I noticed the trend of most all new anime not being my cup of tea. I didn't waste two years of my life taking several classes a week to watch anime in English.

Hmm... I'll admit that the only anime I ever saw with decent english dubbing was Baccano. I've heard that there are other good dubs, but never got round to watching any of them.
