I've seen those designs... pretty soon we're going to be back to Amarki Council members asking why Starfleet doesn't just build the obviously superior Amarki designs. Miranda-A, your day is drawing to a close.
Oh yes.

The Heavy Frigate is a massive step up from the Miranda-A as a combat platform, the Light Frigate doesn't have the same firepower or durabilty but brings Science 5 on a platform that can fight.

Between the two of them they basically obsolete all our sub-capital ships for military purposes. Shit P means the Rennie still has a role on the Frontier, but the Miranda and Centaur are only going to be kept alive if the Council insists Starfleet can't use the Amarki frigates.

Constellation-P is still viable for cheap Garrison Cruiser duty.

75 sr and 60 sr are hardly "Expensive as fuck".

Well, consider that the Renaissance is 80 SR, then, and the Miranda-A is 45. It's pretty expensive. When you can make one and a half of a two-generations-old combat frigate for the price of a new combat frigate? Or a full one-generations-old 1mt cruiser for only ~15% more?

Like, yes, there has been a definite generational gap from our boatloads of new technology. But we're going to be making our own within the decade which isn't specced to Amarki standards - standards which included essentially no restriction on SR cost, while ours will have a restriction of some sort.

IIRC we also did tell them to focus on being the fleet strike force.

If/When war comes we're going to pair them and the Bees up and ruin shit.

We should start brainstorming now for names like Aeroknight but for the Apiata and Amarki. Flower Power? Buzzkills? Swordstingers? BEEKNIGHTS? Combat Combs?

I get the sense it's a joke but Imma run with this....First I need pedantic clarification!

Are we talking a combined Apiata and Amarki unit, or separate units?
Is it a 'specialist infantry' unit or more just the general "ground pounders" units?

Combined unit. Now the aeroknights were like, Marines, but I suppose you could come up with combo words for any range of units.

Stay outta the long grass, Cardies!

We wouldn't need to use Amarki designs if the Keppler hadn't kept being pushed back.
