No, because we don't know what sort of Evasion level either our ships or the Sydraxians' ships have. That said I'd give the advantage there to the Sydraxians' because we had two Cruisers (Constellation and Constitution) to their Cruiser and Frigate.

The Exeter is probably repairable onsite at the 1mt repair dock, while I expect the Challorn will have to spend some time in a shipyard somewhere. Luckily we have been having a flush of special resources recently, so the SR cost isn't likely to be crippling. The enemy isn't going to be in dock for very long, so Ainsworth will have to move fast if she wants to take advantage.

I'm sorry to say, I'm pretty sure this was the end of McAdams' Five Year Mission. She only had the rest of this year to go, and it seems unlikely the Courageous will be repaired in less than 6 months. In fact, we'll most likely send it straight from repair into an Excelsior-A refit.
 
Also: To put these events in further perspective:

The Gaeni are the guys that when they go "Hold my beer" Humans (HUMANS!!!!!!!!) go "NO. This is inadvisable and dumb, I will not hold your beer"

And the Gaeni are going "HAHAHAH. YOU GO TOO FAR FOR SCIENCE. ULTIMATUM" while preparing for war

Yeah, probably is the end of McAdams FYM. She's probably not going to get another. She probably IS going to get a medal or two for saving the ship and almost all of the crew after getting point-blanked with an artifical stellar catastrophe, then keeping them alive and the ship intact for three months while the search parties looked for her.

That poor ship. This will be the second 5YM cut short by enemy action that dragged us into a conflict near the end of an existing 5YM. At least Rosalee and her crew are doing better than poor Ajam. Courageous carries a different and more unique curse than Miracht

(Wait. Courageous was there at Tregh'bek at the very opening of the Biophage. Courageous is some sort of starship form of Storm Crow)

Oh yeah, I wasn't casting any blame on McAdams. Sounds like she did great. I was just saying that time-to-repair is likely greater than time she had left on her mission.

You know, we should probably warn the Romulans about how crazy the Licori are. I'm sure they know to some extent, but it's just polite to warn someone that their neighbors might be popping off starkillers.

Only potential wrinkle I can think of here is the Cardassians trying to bring the Licori into the Ashalla Pact. We're not ready for a general war yet, and this is one of those scenarios were certain kinds of diplomacy between parties A and B would constitute B declaring on C, D and E, not by treaty arrangement, but because some actions are so grave that protecting the perpetrators is war.

Yes, they did. To put it in numbers, our opponents fired 60 times and missed 6 times. We however, shot 62 times and missed 10 times, with 8 of the misses on a single vessel.
 
I'm pretty sure the militarization is from genocide-discussion BUT ALSO probably from how many hits we're taking in GBZ and also the Mentat situation.

I think this would only be done if the Cardassians were desirous of a war. Given how GBZ has been turning out, I do not think they are desirous of one at the current time.

Yes, a dodgy escort is dodgy. This is not a surprise. It's canon that high-end escorts with sufficiently skilled pilots are basically impossible to hit in small scale battles.
