We really need to tell Sakura that her friends are safe and we're willing to give them back.

Shit, that infodump Defenstrator just quoted reminded me that two unknown groups could still join the fight.
On Akiko's side.
And we never took down their teleporter.
And Akiko's crazy and never going to surrender until forced to.
And we don't know where she is.

This could get so much worse.
The thing is, after a point, mercenaries will be less and less willing to join the losing side, if they see it as too dangerous.

Merc: "That white-haired chick just took down your group and another group you had brought in while holding back. Not for all the seeds in Japan."

Meanwhile
Sabrina: "Hey, stay out of the fight, and I'll give you free cleansings for life, whenever you drop by."

Merc: "...We were going to stay out of it anyway, but okay!"

I wonder if this will be a running habit with for Sabrina.

Attempting diplomacy then having it explode on us.
Brutally ripping apart our enemies... then trying diplomacy again.

It's not much different then how Goku makes friends... or Naruto.

Oriko raises her eyebrow at Akiko who is pouting and seemingly missing her arms an legs.

"So... she got you too."

Akiko sniffs at the remark and pointedly looks away from the seer.

Sabrina pokes her head through the open doorway and visibly brightens when she spots her guest.

"Oriko, your here that's great! Listen could you just make yourself at home and please watch Akiko while Mami and I go out of town? We'll only be gone for a bit, It seems we-uh misplaced Aikiko's limbs."

Oriko turns to look at the shivering crippled magical girl before turning back to face a smiling Sabrina.

"Your a terrifying person Sabrina."
"...is that a yes?"

Oh, great. Now we're gonna go from imperious bitchiness to self-loathing to paranoia. I thought Sabrina's brain being a forum hivemind meant we didn't have to deal with being an emotional teenaged girl. :( :p

Wait, Sabrina's straight? Mumi is going to be so disappointed.
The only issue is Mumi's mental health and our discomfort with said mental health. Otherwise, I think the SS Sabrina x Mami is totally sea-worthy.

Again guys, people are getting maimed and killed cause of blinding lights causing blindness while driving, piercing laser beams bisecting walls/buildings/cars and a massive metal monster making many orphans and wishbaits.

[srs] Kill Akiko on sight and crush the merc gems right now. Justice.

I snooze.

Eh, as much as people comment on Sabrina's morality and actions the Sabrina in the story seems quite levelheaded and stable.

Our major flaw seems to be jumping into things to be a hero, to save others.
That's not really a flaw though its more a required mechanic for this quest.

We could have blown off this whole diplomacy thing and just hung around with the regular cast waiting/training for the super witch to come.
Though I imagine it would be quite dull if just sheltered ourselves in Mitakihara and let all our problems come to us.

I totally forgot about all the normal people that are likely suffering.
Damn, nothing much we can do though besides disengage or force the fight/trap/reinforcements to another location (hopefully abandoned).

Well, at least the collateral damage will accentuate our point about this fight needing to stop. Maybe we can use it to convince Sakura and Rin to bail on Akiko, or with Akiyama Atsuko to get her to put down the Katamari.

I am kind of curious about the extent of the collateral damage, though.

Oh it's probably something resembling a small earthquake.

I mean, look how much dakka.

.. does this mean we get a plushy from Kirika in this quest rather than have a plushy stolen by her?

Oh Man Oh Man Oh Man

Achievement item get?! That would be EPIC.

It makes me wonder... just how common is damage like this? This is hardly the first or largest meguca battle in history, and there's stuff like WPN and the general population of witches. How does society cope?

It's probably pretty high, given all the crazy shit they've being using in their attempts to kill us (we're like a mini Walpurgisnacht in terms of survivability aren't we?).

They see them as natural disasters, on this scale, at least. Big knock-down drag-out fights like this aren't so common that it would be much higher than our own world.

QB is pleased by today's crop of wish granted. Very pleased. Why one of the new wishes actually clean up the mess! That's like stopping two entropy outbreaks with just a couple trillion grief seeds!

Kyubey!
It turns out humanity is a lot more peaceful and majority of the conflicts in the world are actually from adolescent girls.

World War Two was weeeird.

So... if Akiko isn't down with surrendering should we skip past her to Sakura again? Also, do we try to talk down Miss Atsuko before or after UG (I hope) takes her down?

That's one hell of a plot bunny you got there. Now I'm gonna have to set up a game of GODLIKE or Wild Talents for my tabletop group. There goes the rest of my free time.

If she isn't down with surrendering we find her with precog and antimagic surprise her. Do you think she's going to do what Sakura asks of her? Or let me put this a different way, do you trust that she won't also plan her escape on the side?

I more meant if we can't convince her to stand down, we should at least get Sakura out of the line of fire.

Edit: Also Rin. Sakura and Rin. Actually, now that I think about it, where is Rin?
