EDIT: (more credits) Here is the super original verison with Homura and Madoka that I referenced for Sabrina (From Compilation Movies 1 & 2 Intros)
This may or may not work:Got an idea: eldritch shields
Basically make the outward facing side of our shields/grief fort painful/disturbing to look at. Think lovecraftian imagery: fractal patterns, impossible geometry, Tzeentchian tapestry.
It'll make our active defenses even more active by making our allies also hard to hit, plus give our enemies a delibitating headache to stop them from concentrating or performing complicated magic.
It's pretty cool, since you know what it does, but it probably looks pretty terrifying, from the outside, since you can practically feel the malevolence the ring radiates, and paying too-close attention to the maelstrom of deep purple reveals eye-warping, unsettling fractal patterns that dive deeper and deeper and deeper.
Sabrina's repeatedly been shown to have difficulty detecting her own witch effects. If what she does is powerful enough to show up on her senses, it's probably much more powerful to an outside observer.
Is it trouble detecting, or just not noticing/paying attention because effectively everything we do with our power feels Witch-y? We did get overwhelmed the first time we entered a Barrier.Sabrina's repeatedly been shown to have difficulty detecting her own witch effects. If what she does is powerful enough to show up on her senses, it's probably much more powerful to an outside observer.
"Rin," you say, voice still pitched barely loud enough to be heard over the pattering of rain off concrete. "I'm not going to lie. Things have gotten pretty serious. You're... at a crossroads, and you may need to make an important choice very soon."
The healer rocks back on her heels, looking like she's just been slapped. A spark of defiance flickers to life, and she glares half heartedly at you. "I know. I know. Y-you... don't have to dress it up in... dramatics, Miss Sabrina."
Yeah, that was the reaction I was expecting. We do occasionally treat the people around Sabrina like they're morons. Doesn't help that we have all the subtly of a brick. Or a hammer.
Also, sorry, Rin. It isn't happening. It's practically a requirement that the SV hive mind be as overdramatic as possible.
Maybe he would point that out, but I find amuzing how not much of can get @defenestrator's name right
Even moreso now that we can (probably) set things on fire! If nothing else, new transparent Grief should be useful.Always enjoy combat in this quest, Sabrina's ability's are so versatile.
I dunno about all that, but we should definitely find a combat use for transmutation. Now is the perfect time to find out if we can make a barrier! And familiars! and familiars with barriers! *mad scientist cackle*
Well, given our current circumstances, our first attempt at a barrier* could be a huge, hollow ball of half-molten half-solid rock? We could trap some of our opponents inside with us while leaving the rest outside.I dunno about all that, but we should definitely find a combat use for transmutation.
