But think of the science... Sorry, I'll stop. No, we are not going to follow series convention about well intentioned zealots overreacting and making things worse.

"They would have died anyway," Akiko rebutts calmly. "If they died, it's because they weren't good enough."
One minor point here, she was stockpiling seeds long before Sabrina existed.Akiko's likely abusing her abundance of grief seeds to keep her gem shiny at all times, since corruption=ammunition. If she needs to get close to us, we should check if she's carrying any grief seeds at all.
But now it's likely she won't be carrying any grief we can use at all.One minor point here, she was stockpiling seeds long before Sabrina existed.
We'll be working with UG in future, so if she chooses to renege on the deal, we'll find out.As it is, what are trying to accomplish? If we reach an agreement where she stops her 'tax' and other abuses of power, can we actually trust her to follow through? Do we need to restain her or control her somehow?
But then she may simply use Sakura's teleport and our our offered grief cleansing to fuck over some other girls, elsewhere. Or she could just leave and establish herself out of our reach. We'll be working with UG in future, so if she chooses to renege on the deal, we'll find out.
Akiko might break the deal anyway if she thinks we won't hold her accountable (hence, full and frank exchange of views once this is over) or are incapable of doing so (maybe a show of force is called for at some point?), but otherwise, no trust necessary.
Why, hello there Sophia Hess. Didn't expect to see you here."But them dying because of your 'tax' is OK?" you demand of Akiko. To Rin, you say, "Yeah, it's OK. Are you... alright? Did you know about all... this, before?"
"They would have died anyway," Akiko rebutts calmly. "If they died, it's because they weren't good enough."
Should she start messing with another group without the excuse of MOAR GRIF SID, obviously, we killBut then she may simply use Sakura's teleport and our our offered grief cleansing to fuck over some other girls, elsewhere. Or she could just leave and establish herself out of our reach.
We'd have to judge any such claim on its specific merits, but ... well, most people aren't evil. (Apart from Akiko, apparently). There's also the fact that the UG may hold a grudge even if they agree not to. If we get a call saying Akiko's doing her shenanigans again, how do we know it's true and not, say, Rei trying to use us to get back at Akiko?
Works for me.I guess Oriko could help make sure Akiko doesn't go back on the deal, but only if we don't interact with Akiko a lot. Giving her migraines is fun, but actually a bad thing.
We're totally not a witch.Sabrina's ability to multitask five conversations at once while Rin struggles to keep up amuses me more than it should.
Our tolerance for Akiko has run dry. We just don't want to start a war over slapping her shit around. Get her teammates to agree, make sure things go the way we want them to, and then we are going to Have Words with her.
We do use them as shields, they also cut through concrete and steel like nothing else.Combat: Have we considering further uses of our grief wings in combat? Using them as shields for example? What about other grief manipulation, up and including to "transmuting" it into something more usable?
Example: Create grief cheese, feed it toNagisaa mouse and undo the cheese.
